No need to stretch Gordon further with the Wednesday turnaround for game 1 of the conference tourney.

Big time performance from him. Needed that badly.

Oh shit I forgot it starts midweek

Anyone recall the CWS game in early 80s when Texas was down about 10-0 to Michigan, then came a long rain delay, and came back to win?

No. The only thing close to that I recall is the game against Seton Hall in the 70s when Texas had a 10 run first inning and then held on to win 10-9.

Don’t recall that one.

There was one legendary series against them in 1992. Peter Gardere scored the winning run on a balk in game 2 I think.

Ok I was wrong. It was a 12 run first inning and Texas held on to win 12-10 and it was during the 1975 CWS.

I didn’t start watching Texas baseball until probably my junior year in 1979.

A nice little 30 pitch inning for Lummus.

I wasn't even born yet, but I remembered my Dad telling me about it. RIP Dad.

Still can’t believe we let the sooners sweep us at home.  Hard to let that one go.

Is this never speaking of it again?

It has taken me weeks to get over it.

Texas teams in early 80s were great.  They almost won three CWS.

I wanted to see us get tested tonight.

It’s nice to see this Texas team take Meth Aggie to the wood shed for at least one game. Texas has dropped some head scratchers so it’s nice to see them put it together on the mound and at the plate.

Runners up in 84, 85, and 89. Oh what could have been.

Texas got fucked in 89 when they went to one game format for championship to appease CBS.
