The only state that hasn't voted R in a presidential election in over 50 years is going to elect a D governor.... somebody call the NY times.

Oh I don't know, maybe the same state that elected 4 non-D governor in that same span, totaling 24 years?

How long until they bust his rank and pension for not personally stopping any and all fraud in Minnesota, or stopping some politically motivated murders?

speaking of which, what ever happened to Tim Pawlenty?

Update: Nate Silver is still a moron.

Kamala loses with Shapiro as well, and the dangers with anti-Semitism in this country would be even worse. I mean, someone set his house on fire when he wasn't even on the ticket!

I think she should have picked Shapiro, and frankly the results couldn't have been any worse with him. Who knows if he could have delivered PA and other battleground states. Or perhaps it can be viewed that Harris' campaign misused Walz.

if this kind of fraud is happening in Minnesota, imagine what is happening in, oh I dunno, the entire south. betting we won't see in depth investigations happening like this in any red states. but I'm sure they're all squeaky clean anyway

At this point, Brett Favre would prefer that people just talk about his unsolicited dick pics instead of....the $1.1 million in "speaking fees" he received for speeches he never gave and his purposeful diversion of $5 million in TANF funds (for the truly poorest of people) to a fancy volleyball stadium at So. Miss where his daughter played.

Remember that? Remember all the consequences? Yeah. Fuck, might as well send some more dick pics, Brett. You're MAGA, so you're fucking bulletproof.

Maybe you all are looking at this 180 degrees wrong.

While I am totally opposed to tit for tat escalation in regards to changes in the legislative processes(filibuster, pack court, senate... etc.), if this is the start of a new tit for tat in rooting out corruption and graft, give me more. Both parties have immediately moved on when they take power for far too long and essentially one hand has been washing the other.

The amount of abuse from welfare, medicaid, medicare, disability (military and non-military) is staggering. Just think about the abuse from the COVID payments as long as you said that you had employees. Not too mention the abuse that came from legitimate businesses who didn't need the money but they had no problems taking money if it was offered.

the fraud, waste and abuse is not in DC. It's in America. This is the face of the average American and their attitude about taking.

Dude. Come the fuck on. Functionally one party sees consequences from corruption. That's it. FFS, Al Franken faked a boob grab and had to resign. The Republicans? Near zero consequences. AND, on the off chance that they face any......they get pardoned. The fucking PLATFORM (in operation) of the GQP is "no fucking rules for us, no fucking consequences for us." You've seen it explode in real-time, and you are hopeful that maybe that worm will turn? Dude. Put down the crack pipe. Crack is wack.

Is today your first day following American politics?

A new tit for tat in rooting out corruption and graft while the President of the United States is a 37-count convicted felon, adjudicated rapist, and almost certainly a kiddie fucker and accessory to infanticide?

Lol.

Lmao even

(pls don't quote that idiot again and subject us to his posts)

It's how they always say it and play it. "BOTH SIDES!" But when it comes down to the principles they claim to hold.....ONE SIDE ONLY! It's all a lie.

These are people who thought that pedophilia was one of the most important issues in human history, and we MUST release the Epstein files, and now......they couldn't give .000000001% of a fuck if every Republican raped a toddler on live TV. In fact, they'd love it, because man, that would really own tha libz!

IDK, but maybe don’t base a prosecution on the claim that Mar-a-Lago is worth 18 million dollars.

"Functionally one party sees consequences from corruption. That's it. FFS, Al Franken faked a boob grab and had to resign..."

...and a 34x convicted felon, twice-impeached, pussy-grabbing, raping pedophile was elected president. twice.

this country is disgusting and sick and there is no cure.

empires fall, it's literally the most consistent thing in history. oh well.

Ain't nothin gonna change. No one actually gives a shit about fraud.

What part of performative don't you get?

IDK, there are plenty of extremely pissed off D's in the country. If I was an R with even a modicum of self preservation instinct I'd tighten things up. Kind of like in the Wire when campaign contributions started getting preemptivily returned based on Freamon and Prez snooping around.

Maybe they could start by not supporting the man who is what fraud would be if fraud came to life and took human form. Well, fraud and a ton of other terrible stuff. Like pedophilia. Maybe start by ditching that guy. Maybe stop making the child raping fraudulent convicted felon conman president.

HE STOLE FROM A FUCKING CHILDREN'S CANCER CHARITY. AND LOST ZERO SUPPORT.

Based on the actual data, why should any Republican give any shits about being corrupt as hell? It has been proven definitively that not only are there no consequences, it is actually rewarded. Hell, guys on here who say "ZOMG! Corruption is very very bad!" also gleefully voted, repeatedly, for corruption. Pretty much every chance they get to vote for corruption, they vote for it. Trump, Paxton, all of them. "Be totally fucking corrupt" is a proven winner of a Republican platform, why would they abandon it?

It reminds me of during the debates when Trump was called out for something unethical/illegal/negative that the D's would have been slammed for he simply replies, "Akshully, that makes me smart" and then the rubes eat it up. He's a genius bidness man!

That was about minimizing his taxes. Which isn’t yet “illegal”, but I’m sure Bernie and Lieawatha are working on it

FWIW, this is why right wing media wins.

They can bring an issue where NOBODY knows the concrete details to the forefront of the national conversation and create a narrative purely based on vibes.

And progressives will fall for it too.

The myth that Minnesota is a purple state is currently old enough to get drafted.

I know it’s hard to keep track but his felony convictions relate to election interference and documentation charges for buying Stormy Daniels’ silence related to infidelity before the 2016 election. The Mar a Lago valuation issue was part of a civil verdict, as was E. Jean Carroll defamation and sexual assault award.

But I concede your larger point that he’s an honest guy wrongly persecuted by the system.

And once again the pantsing of incredulity is hilarious. Also, dibs on The Pantsing of Incredulity for my next theatrical prog-metal album.

You did not need to quote him to address that stupid as shit post he made.

Sure, When the whole state votes on a single race it trends blue, but we're still a hell of a lot more purple than most. State House is R + 2 (albeit with 2 vacancies that will likely tie it). State Senate is DFL +1. U.S. House is 4 and 4. U.S. Senate and President are pretty locked down for the Dems, but if Klobuchar doesn't enter the race (I think she will) Gov could easily, even probably, flip to red.

This is our concern, dude.

Not much of an insult coming from someone who swallows whatever shit they are fed.

I member when Linux blamed Democrats for radicalizing JK Rowling. He doesn't have anything useful to contribute.
