I don't have a clue where a season 2 would go after all that. So he solved the mystery, but can't go through with it because he loves his wife too much. So weird. Kind of a funny show, but no where near as good as ITYSL or even Detroiters.

Eh… his ginger daughter is not marrying that fat sloppy bitch. Season 2 with a dad and daughter mystery solving team could be interesting.

Hope is still alive to see Lake Bell’s big naturals before she hits 50.

It would be funny if some new Wendy's food accidentally killed her or something.

Need more Mike in the next season. The daughter and his interactions were cute. She supported him, no matter how crazy things got. You know how kids can be like that and think the world of their parents before that trust is used up or shattered.

One thing this show did really well was making an odd cast of characters and using people that play small roles. There were so many random encounters with people we never see again, but they add to the mystery and keep you guessing because some of them do come back. It also builds that small town feeling of oddballs. I enjoyed all the random encounters, never knowing if any of them would amount to anything.

I never thought after the first episode that  the guy who unbuttoned his shirt to run away would be seen again, but now they are best friends.

I figure the next big mystery could involve his former employer. That way they could bring back LDP, Douglas, etc and work some angle there. Maybe the changes to the plans went poorly and the mall never got finished. Maybe Ron keeps trying to find another way to expose the Tecca conspiracy. Plenty to work with.

This is the absurdist comedy wrapped in the dumbest conspiracy turned simple fraud story I never knew I needed.

In a huge Tim Robinson fan, from SNL to Characters to Detroiters to ITYSL to Friendship.

Him and Zach Kanin are so crazy it makes me feel sane.

Like I said in the beginning Mike Santini has stolen every scene he’s in. I love him, he’s amazing.

This show is so dumb it’s perfect and I have no idea have a season 2 is gonna work but I’m 100% in on it

The best synopsis of this show I’ve heard. From the Ringer Prestige podcast: “The humor in this show is so weird that what makes it unique is that the individual viewer believes no one else could possibly find this funny other than themselves.”

Everyone at the meeting talking about how bad Jeff could have been hurt with Jeff getting madder and madder had me laughing pretty hard. "Ronald was tossing Jeff around like a rag doll."

Really funny. The gym strong argument killed me.

I laughed pretty hard at the mask guy throwing panties at Ron, and then telling him they were Amanda's. Tims reaction to that kind of stuff is always great.

Douglas suggesting that they keep Ron, but demote him a few levels was pretty funny too. Also makes me think he's involved with the Tecca conspiracy, because he wants to keep Ron close and keep tabs on him... Or drive him insane.

I know it's probably not going to happen, but it would be funny if Jeff was also investigating this chair situation and possibly someone embezzling money at his company through it. Maybe Jeff downloaded the Red Ball Market Global song to his phone, because he made the same connections Ron did. Maybe him and Ron share their knowledge and team up in a buddy cop way to go after the real perpetrators of this fraudulent scheme. It would be fun to see them work together more, and have some clashes.

My wife and I were laughing so hard at this! The blatant disregard for Jeff as he’s sitting there was so fucking funny!

3 episodes in and this is exactly what a guy is knew went thru shortly after covid.

He was bored and investing money online, started chasing some penny stock company.  Tried to track down their HQ, the people who ran the business etc.  Became a huge rabbit hole like none of it really existed.

He ended up getting a phone call with someone identifying him and telling him "you need to stop. Now."

Said it was a huge trip.

Had no idea this was Douglas, the bubbles guy

His dialog is the same as his SNL acting and his long winded speeches from Dirty Work, the old Norm Macdonald movie.  Loving his part.

I didn't think they could show mouth on dick on hbo

Mike is the best part of the show. His deeply disturbing Jerky Boyz on bath salts tapes and bizarro world apartment shenanigans are Tim Robinson tap dancing on the line between comedy and calling the police.

My algo has been feeding me Tim Robinson content and I'm not complaining. The other day I got fed an Instagram reel of the scene where Ron goes to Mike's apartment and Mike tries to give him leftovers of what he thinks is probably chicken all the while it sounds like a murder is happening in the apartment nextdoor. And then Mike starts asking Ron if he's ever had the giant grey meatballs from a particular establishment. I'm not sure I've laughed harder since I was a freshman in college and saw Billy Madison in the theater. Literal tears.
