That's pussy ass bullshit.

The morons on this board want to schedule tOSU, then back to back weeks of Oregon and Miami on the road.  Play the fun games, you know.

We should schedule on a different metric level, that nobody else does.  That'll show"em!!

ND's schedule is a joke. But let's not do that.

I’d love to schedule that way. It would be so much fun. The second the committee says a 8-4 Texas that plays 9 sec games and 3 blue bloods is in the playoffs we should totally do that. But, life is stupid so, yeah, we probably shouldn’t.

Fucking A I hate this shit. Notre Dame doesn’t belong, Miami is shit. OU is shit. Texas is better than at least those 3 two loss teams.

Cancel Ohio State and replace them with Miami of Ohio

Maybe if Georgia wins by 50 and breaks Ty Simpson in half or something.
Fucking OU beating bama and walking through raindrops. That’s a shitty fucking OU team to go 10-2. My goodness.

It's a 12 team playoff and Texas is a top 10 team.  We should be in.  No one wants to play us right now.  We are better than ND and Miami and we fucking beat OU and Vandy.  Michigan lost.  The committee isn't the AP, they can move us up 10 spots.  And if playing the #1 team on the road and losing by 7 costs Texas a playoff berth there will be consequences across the entire sport with respect to scheduling.

This.

Our only path is for the CFP committee to wake up and realize that ND is warmed over dogshit and rank Texas above them because we beat Aggy and they lost to aggy and have no quality wins compared to us. Other than that. We are confirmed out.

So we are confirmed out

I just wanted to pop in a say that the media is not devoting NEARLY enough attention to just how spectacularly shitty Notre Dame's schedule was

They never do.

They've always carried their water.

Non-conference schedule going forward should have Rice every year, with any Houston games at Reliant to give us regular games in Houston.

I never thought Rice would be useful again like....this.  Lulz.

Either Virginia or Duke will be in the playoff.  Best 12 eh.

I think Duke isn't a given since they are so far down in the CFP rankings and I doubt beating Virginia moves them up enough.

Can you give a detailed break down of our path? You’ve been nails at it thus far.

Duke vs. Virginia in the ACC champ game.

If Duke wins the ACC, we may actually get 2 group of 5 teams in the playoffs as Duke may be the 6th highest ranked conference champion

They would be an automatic qualifier if they win the conference championship

BYU and Utah

No. They did away with that. You have to win your conference and be in the top 25 of the rankings.

I doubt Texas makes the playoffs…. However I think we’d be favored on a neutral field over any team but OSU and UGA.

Based on what? Sark handles business in rivalry games, but what makes you think oddsmakers would favor us over Indiana or Oregon given his track record again non-conference elite opponents?

8-5 Duke and a G5 team in the playoff with a 9-3 Texas team with 3 top 10 wins sitting at home. What a system!

and the number 6 SOS.

Nope. Top 5 conference champs are in. No guarantee from any one conference.

If Georgia dog walks bama , bama should be out and Texas in the playoffs.

The committee leader Head-Dumbshit had declared months ago that losses in CCGs will not penalize teams.

If they qualify, they qualify. The point is, no more committee picks. Set up a system that ends it for good.
Won't ever happen. ESPN makes a ton of money off these weekly selection shows. The hype around releasing the brackets after all the dust settles. They love this. It gives something to discuss all year.

16 teams is the way to go. I've said that well before this year. Cut all the byes out. I believe we will end up at this number in the next 5-7 years.

A two loss byu is going to be fucking hilarious

I’ve come full circle we are being punished for 3 losses. NFL you can lose half a dozen games or more and win the Super Bowl. Who are the best teams not which teams have the best records. It’s bullshit.

the sport has to get out of the chase for the perfect season and instead legitimately put the 12 best teams in the field.

Unfortunate the way it played out. Florida gets dog walked by this current iteration of team. Very encouraging end of season progression from Arch. Hit portal hard and fuck up Ohio State to start next year.
