That OPI was very obvious, clock is at 0:00 because the play took too long, and it's game over. Not sure I have seen that happen to end a game, but it makes sense. Can't reward the team that's committing a penalty, this isn't the NBA.

So if the refs had ruled St. Brown's forward progress stopped right before he intentionally fumbled, it looks like there might be 2-3 seconds left.  Lions get one more play in that case, correct?  Or is there also a time runoff which ends the game anyway?

Tonite’s game should be awesome. This weekend has had such crazy and amazing finishes that I’m hoping for a bad ass game and not a lopsided one or a boring slow as one.

Steelers decline penalty, turnover on downs at the 1.

The OPI was definitely obvious, but the previous call on the pick play was bullshit

That one was obvious too, the WR didn't even try to go past the DB, look for a pass or pretend to run a route. You can't run right at a guy and drill into him like that. Ignore the text, here's the replay:

Also Jacksonville is fucking good. They've been cooking since the Jakobi trade

It’s weird is it not to see an ascending Panthers and Jags at same time? I’m here for it. Lots of new blood fighting for the playoffs or clinching spots and that’s fun for me as a viewer instead of the same old teams.

That's too close to call imo. You could make an argument that he got pushed

Falcons might genuinely be the worst team in the league without him.  I've watched all their games and I can't think of a single one of their five measly wins they'd have without him.  He's gonna get fucked out of it because he plays for the sorry ass Falcons, but he absolutely deserves OPOY.

Arthur Blank is a curious blend of acumen and idiocy. We all know which of those applies to business and which to football. A far less flamboyant Jerrah.

I actually don't think Arthur Blank gives a fuck if the Falcons win or not.  He's got a corpo management company running his sports franchises for him.  He has the new stadium which brings in bank.  I think as long as he's turning a profit he really don't give a shit.  Having ass kissers and people he's comfortable with matter more to him than winning.  It's why he's kept Rich McKay around forever.  It's why they had coaches like Harbaugh, MacDonald, Vrabel, etc. in for interviews and then they end up going with Raheem Morris for HC.  Raheem ain't gonna rock the boat.  He's gonna give the world salad PR speeches, never bad mouth the front office or demand change, and just keep shit in cruise control.

That's the lie that's always sold to the fans.  That these billionaire owners care about winning more than anything else.  Fuck no they don't.  Most of them just care about sitting on their ass, watching the team's valuation continue to rise because the NFL has become more popular year after year, and to pull in that sweet, sweet TV money.  If the team wins?  Great!  If they don't?  Also great.  People will still show up, buy jerseys, convince themselves the snot nosed kid they drafted in the Top 5 is gonna turn everything around, etc.

I think them and Buffalo are the teams to beat in the AFC. I'm not sold on Denver or NE.

Nah.  Bijan did all the hero work moving the team down the field drive after drive so Kirk could hit Pitts for those TDs.  If you don't have to account for Bijan then Pitts ain't catching shit.  He's only good when he's wide the fuck open.

NE defense isn’t healthy and somewhat depleted. Maye is inexperienced even though he’s good. Denver has good enough defense to be competitive but SP isn’t all that sold on their QB and there is a lot of tension there. I like Jags and Buffalo and oddly enough old ass Steelers. NFC is not as clear cut to me.
