  1. Past hour
  2. To me, Arch is always in hero ball mode. He is looking for the touchdown play, for too long, every time he drops back. I also think he would do better out of the shotgun, and never turning his back to the LOS. He would never have his back to his receivers, and should be able to locate them much sooner. He could have his feet set as soon as the ball hits his hands. He just needs to become competent in the 5-10 yard range and keep the chains moving, and take the occasional downfield shot. Grinding out drives will also keep our defense fresh. CHIEF
  3. I knew it was over at B1G media day during his opening remarks last year.
  4. People like @Enchubben agree with 1/6 Feel free to refute that. I'm all ears.
  5. While this is reductive, his debate style kinda boils down to this when his opponent was just your league average college freshman:
  6. Fuck you, Cam. Duke has won ONE championship in the last 15 seasons. Nobody likes you. There are a shit ton of other very good programs out there. Perhaps if GodCoachK hadn't fully embraced the One & Done model Duke would have won more but, he didn't, so you didn't. Win something before you bitch about respect. Fuck you, Cam.
  7. Yes, coal. Coal is the answer. And some children to mine it. Put those freeloaders to work. These are the dumbest people. And we put them in charge.
  8. Knowing the prevailing mindset here, and the prevailing mindset among conservatives that I know, I just think the opposing party is dead to these people. I don’t think there is anything that can be said or done to convince them otherwise. These people see an R or D and their decision is effectively made, and little else matters. I think Talarico’s message would need to come from an independent, or perhaps a new party founded by people who are eschewing both parties. If he could find a like mind from the Republican Party and get some monied people behind them, start a new party focused on de-escalation, unity, preserving the Republic and populist economics. That might pull a decent number of people from both parties that currently have been essentially forced to choose between two warring factions. The problem when people make their decision between R or D right now, they fall into an information bubble provided by that side that has more to do with motivating them to join the fight than it has with promoting any sort of common ground. You are presented with the best of “your” side and the worst of the “other” side. And outside forces (Russia, others) contribute their weight to ensuring that half the people view the other half as a mortal threat and vice versa. I fully know one or both parties would be trying to undermine these efforts of a new, upstart party and it very well might fail. But the alternative is a continuation of current trends, which likely means the extinction of the Democratic Party and 20th century liberalism. It might mean worse than that.
  9. EXACTLY!! Bobby & Gerry are always saying “I ‘get it’, ____” on the OTF podcasts, but they don’t “get [shit 💩]!” Saying “I get it….” is their way of saying “Don’t interrupt me.” & “You can’t disagree with me, because I started off with ‘I get it!’” Again, they absolutely DO NOT “get it”… RomaVicta gets it!!
  10. The vocal majority. Not the majority of people in this country.
  11. Oh I think Sark could announce today that Arch is sitting the Sam Houston game. To let some nagging injuries heal up, or whatever. Then the bye week. Just let him sit for a couple of weeks and decompress, if that’s really the issue.
  12. saw NIN in tampa and ft worth last week. have seen 3 shows this tour, 2 in the pit and 1 from lower bowl seats. it was nice seeing the full visual experience from the seats, but the pit is absolutely the way to go. this tour has been incredible, the opening songs on the b stage are so good. think i preferred the tampa setlist the most but all of them have been absolutely amazing. have seen them 19 times over the last 25 years and this tour is definitely one of the best and most creative.
  13. If you read absolutely nothing else, knowing that he blamed excessive Kerr county flood deaths on a black police chief in [checks notes] Austin solely because of her race would lead anyone with an ounce of sanity left to conclude, "hmm, this isn't a very good dude."
  14. 4th&Five

    Emmys

I’ve been a Nate fan since he was pudgy with the bowl haircut but this was not for him.
  15. forgot about the target lists he put out.
  16. I think the issue is that these are not divisive quotes any more. They now reflect the majority opinion.
  17. It was soon to also be filled with gas from Allsup's burritos, I'm sure.
  18. So? Pig isn't ranked.
  19. TLDR: they happily let people like Charlie use racism, division, and hate as a sword, then wrap themselves in the flag and the cross as a shield. Because they are reprehensible, gutless cowards too yellow to own their actual beliefs.
  20. You cannot play for 2 teams during the same season, it’s against NCAA rules.
  21. Looks like a lot of us had the same glove
  22. If Arch hasn't been such a mess agreed this would be a huge topic on this board. If that is our best option at Guard, then we have completely fucked up evaluations and/or development at that position. He's been awful.
  23. If you pull the trigger you can’t go back imo. I think the time to do it would be this week vs Sam considering we have 2 weeks until conference play following this game
  24. Feels like your biggest hurdle is getting someone enrolled super late after school has started. Unless you’re on quarters, like Stanford or UW (don’t start until next week)
  25. I mean shit, how many coaches on our staff have been fired as HCs from other schools? 3? That’s gotta be a record.
