Was it that they didn't want to be there, or were they just that much shittier without their quarterback, thus validating the decision to leave them out?
-
There's a lot to be said for this. People won't come out since Trump's not on the ticket, but now you have a villain on the ticket with our own Texas born and raised AOC. It doesn't matter what stripe of Dem she is, liberal or moderate or somewhere in the middle, she's a Dem, that's enough reason to get out and vote against her. That could affect the whole ticket up and down. I don't see it as rage, but as controlled anger towards those who change his religion for their benefit into something unrecognizable to a good many Christians. While he's not exactly blue collar, his background is teaching, so that's working man territory too. The actual party in Texas is slowly moving away from the OG towards the progressive. I would probably put our numbers at 30% OG, 15% liberal and 55% progressive. Many like myself see progressive as more like a "how would FDR battle this" movement. So far the word hasn't been redefined like liberal, socialism, etc. Yes, not only Talarico's but also several in the TDP, in particular Scudder the new state chair finishes with it in every stump speech he does. He also ties that to the progressive movement. Here's a pretty good podcast on where most progressive Texans feel they stand on the larger issues. https://creators.spotify.com/pod/profile/progresstexas/episodes/In-Progress-What-Does-It-Mean-To-Be-A-Progressive-e3bave9/a-acapc1j

$10 mil is far more than enough to never have to work again. My high yield savings earns 3.5% annually. Even just parking $8 mil at that rate would net over $200k annually after taxes. I'd be in Costa Rica living super comfortably off that. And that's just the high yield checking rate. Not even taking risk.

Deboer may not live that one down. He seems like a great kid with a big future, Mack-Russell battle will be interesting if they can keep both. I like our room the way its laid out, hopefully we can spread them out aok. Id like to see what Lacy can do vs Michigan. -
Kick Nebraska out and add Notre Dame?

Didn't do Burnt Ends and IDK what his deal is. Guy was always a potato with us and never any fun, nor did he look like he got along with the rest of the guys. He got "hurt" and decided to opt-out when it was clear they weren't gonna go to the playoffs it seemed. Seems like a really ego driven guy who has some potential, but who knows? IDK, but it would seem to me that Baxter would be invited to stay and play a whatever or significantly diminished role, but wouldn't get anywhere near the compensation or playing time or focus he would get from moving on. This one is a shitty one in the new world because I feel like he did a great job being a leader and a positive voice/example in the locker room. -

people need to read this, then read it again, then read it a third time - a lot has been written about Baxter and it is true insofar as he is an outstanding worker, person, teammate, etc. But what CTJ wrote isn't usually included in the gushing, and it is absolutely true and need to be understood as part of the bigger picture. -

The narrative is different if we played UL Monroe instead of OSU. -
Incorrect. We are not losing the space race. Not even remotely close. Are they closing the gap in some areas like lunar yes. But this notion that we are losing the space race to China 2 times over is dumber than the we are making the playoffs at 9-3. Their launch cadence is a 1/3 of ours. They’re recent attempt at recover with Zhuque-3 failed showing they are still years out When it comes to payloads and tech we are light years ahead we have over 10000 dual use known to public satellites up there to chinas 1500. Chinas state run allows for more speed vs the laws in place in our acquisition process. The only thing China is remotely close in is lunar missions. Same goes for their ships and aircraft nonsense

@tequila refresh my memory, but you have a Freeman for the deeper water, correct? Got both ends of the spectrum pretty, pretty well covered.

This looks harmless. Clearly empty lot, well centered so he's taking one row, and avoids his truck protruding out into the traffic lane.

when they opened up in Houston, their pizza looked exactly like costco pizza. never gave them a thought until I saw their ad for the italian sandwich

If ND tries to move its programs to the Big 10 then the Big 10 has a chance to do the funniest thing since 1926

Holy shit you dipshits: 9-3 Texas is probably in the playoffs

After yesterday, I doubt ND wants to play us any more than we want to keep scheduling big early-season games. Look at their schedule next year. 3 actual road games - UNC, Syracuse, and Purdue. Hell, they're virtually already in next year's playoff ... CBS: 'Notre Dame has 2026 College Football Playoff assurance and the schedule is embarrassingly favorable' https://www.cbssports.com/college-football/news/college-football-playoff-selection-notre-dame-mou-2026-schedule/ nsiap Here's their 2026 schedule. And unless something changes, I guess everyone's non-con schedules will be jokes within a couple of years too. -
yep pretty silly to bash Sark for a WR stinking early in the game Either Wingo stinks or Moore stinks every game, we just can't seem to have both of them firing at the same time. The QB power was not a great play call but damn every other play call in that break down we had the advantage.
-
More importantly, we were 0-2 against BYE this season. That is the real headscratcher.
-
In case anyone forgot.

Yeah but they sucked. They were scrapping by a bunch of really bad teams without their QB. Hell they may have sucked with him as well. No amount of sacking up was going to get them a W against UGA.
