  1. Past hour
  2. NoCa(rolina). Wegmans is good in comparison but goddamn it sucks
  3. Lets never forget that Dusty Dvoracek once claimed a medical redshirt year for alcoholism, AFTER he was kicked off the team, for beating his best friend and roommate in the head with a baseball bat. Holy Shit, Hugh Freeze looks like hammered dogshit. No wonder that motherfucker was coaching from a Hospital bed, clearly he needed his scotch infused through an IV. This guy is transforming to George O'Leary before our very eyes.
  4. Yeah we've hit blastfurnace mode - now the question is how long into September does it go?
  5. This reminds me of those “returning starts” metrics and it’s like, returning crap is still crap.
  6. As written either both players or the second one and almost certainly the manager specifically because it was multiple players. Note that it doesn't say they "may" be ejected, it says they shall be. Agreed that the West champion and Florida are better, but Lamar and Eastbank are essentially equal. Eastbank won 7-5 then Lamar won 5-2.
  7. He had Sabonis in Sac, who is no slouch and garners plenty of attention from the defense. Sabonis is a top 20 player by most accounts, and yet Fox's shooting numbers have been bad to average at best for most of his career. That's not a great indicator for a guy who is 27. Some of that may be him trying to carry a mediocre team and shooting too much to overcompensate for the lack of talent and coaching around him though. However, it's tough to gauge how much better he can be in a system and organization that is considered to be top 5 versus bottom 5 in the league. I know the Spurs have taken guys like this and turned them into better shooters, fixing small things like elbow placement, release point, the way they jump and land, etc etc. The Spurs do that really well and tend to get the most out of their players, so maybe Fox will get a whole lot better. Betting on that growth isn't a bad idea, but if they are wrong it will be an expensive mistake.
  8. My personal interest level has dropped considerably the last couple of years due to nothing in particular. Maybe it's I'm getting old and the time zone differences for matches of significance are total shit. There's no set "popular season", but global interest usually picks up whenever one of the 10 million World Cups gets played or the Indian Premier League kicks off. Other big series that gain interest are things like The Ashes between England and Australia, India vs England tests, and the Border-Gavaskar Trophy (India v Australia). Basically unless it has England, Australia or India in it; no one gives a shit.
  9. Monday was certainly a welcome surprise. England had that thing in the bag at stumps on Sunday.
  10. Crime is a fat cankle
  11. Here's a link to a YT segment from Sooners Illustrated mods and insiders who have attended the practices and talked with coaches and those around the team. They're discussing their view on progress and questions so far:
  12. Hope he makes it here, and doesn't have to go to NFL Europe ... ... they cannot afford another Landwehr in Europe!
  13. You don't trust BB, OL coach extraordinaire?? You know how much his players rake in playing for the NFL right now?? it's what I hear over and over about the OL when I question it.. Meanwhile they tell us we are replacing 4 starters with guys who never have started..
  14. With OT being a priority, seems like a contingency option should be considered. Perhaps late risers will be evaluated. Will be interesting to see if alternative names crop up as time moves on if Lee looks to be unlikely.
  15. Chip on the shoulder? How about Boulder in the Belly?
  16. Where’s Slim Whitman when we need him?
  17. This is also why I won’t watch Prometheus or first wives club
  18. I find it crazy there is no way of knowing how many people died in this event. I mean, I get it when a tsunami hits Bangladesh and they can only say something like est 300,000 dead. But this isn't Bangladesh and the number is several orders of magnitude smaller.
  19. Anyone expecting more from the handle "Cheeky Schneider" is doing it wrong.
  20. I was thinking of doing a rewatch on s1 true detective but maybe I’ll just turn on the fucking news
  21. It's been a riveting debate full of deep thoughts, complex analysis, quantitative analytical processing of in depth statistics and an open minded fully valuable discussion. That's all to say your post is the worst post in the history of the internet. I was pulling for you succeed here on Surly buy you have hit the bottom of the barrel and I can't even fathom what compelled you to write this toxic, worthless drivel. I don't know why you are always trying to talk shit to me and what's worse, do it so terribly. You should be ashamed of yourself.
  22. I knew the crying poverty stuff was bullshit. I hope they keep the RedZone host. He has it down cold.
  23. And once the project is complete, be sure to leave all the cones and shit in the median and on the shoulder for an extra six months so that the police can continue writing more profitable tickets for work zone violations.
  24. What did he do now? Also, I forgot about this one but last week I was driving and listening to Doering and Burns because XM 84 had some boring coach interview going. At one point, Burns said that Texas didn't really impress him with their entry to the SEC last year. Doering, to his credit, said "Really? Because I was expecting them to have to make major adjustments across most sports and they really outperformed what I was thinking and won the Director's Cup." Burns replied "Just focus on football, they didn't impress." Doering: "Well, they finished in the top 4 of the country and went further than anyone else in the SEC." Burns: "You know what I'm trying to say." Peter Burns is the absolute honkiest of the SEC honks. He's also not very intelligent and fails to fathom that. He's talks as though he's smarter than everyone else in every segment and he's constantly wrong and completely myopic. Doering is terrible, Burns is worse.
  25. This isn't really a "no way" it's the same actor moment, but I've been oblivious to this for the past 40+ years. Marcus Brody (Raiders of the Lost Ark) Coleman (Trading Places)
  26. Those are indeed the two alternatives, "winning," and "making a tremendous deal" (understanding that "winning" can be achieved by "ending this stupid war" by "making a tremendous deal" -- see the insane recent statements in recent weeks about ending 5 or 6 wars). We'll see which alternative plays out.
