  2. Funny but, if taken literally, you're juxtaposed with this: They're actually, as we know, not very good at either T or P used in their heartfelt T&P response to tragedy. They don't have a clue when it comes to thought and preferring being led. They have no clue about what they should be praying for. Hint: it's not deporting people working hard to hell hole prisons or countries where they don't belong. The "Christians" greatest dread should be that they're right about their punishing religion. You can see the Big G now going over the books, Hmmmm, and how did you dispose yourself towards these people?" Well, uh, they're terribly dangerous rapers and murderers... Of course, they are. And these children of Mine? Well look, you can see it's an eyesore! Yes, of course, unsanitary, too. But how did you aid them after destroying their only shelter and trashing most of their possessions? Advised them to pull themselves up by their bootstraps? Hmmm, of course. As did you? Well, yes- No. No. Remember, I was watching. You didn't. I guess it doesn't look so good for me. No. It never has. Adios. That's irony which you've never understood either. POOF!
  3. Higher volume there requires fans to talk louder and generally be louder. It’s something done on purpose.
  4. Is the B12 more similar to the PAC or the SEC? Let’s see- of the original B12 members still in the conference, I count a total of seven conference championships out of 39 years (KSU-3, BU-2…thanks, Art…, OSU-1 and CU-1). The PAC has existed for 57 years, and I count four total conference championships from the original two members still in it. So, the B12 wins that comparison. It is a bad look that, in the SEC, OU by itself has more B12 championships than all the teams still in it.
  5. France has fairly simple permanent residence laws. 5 years with sufficient income, plus B1 language (if I'm remembering correctly). You can long stay visa the whole way. The big upside of France is they have one of the strongest tax treaties with the US, and as of now, do not tax pension or IRA distributions. Unfortunately, they are making the citizenship tougher, requiring B2 starting next year. But that's different than permanent residence. The paper work is a bitch from what I understand. There are legal sherpas, but expensive, but we will probably use them.
  6. Because he runs shit routes
  7. As I've said before, I have more respect for MAGA diehards than people like the DT safe space Trump voters that continue to quietly support him and conveniently disappear when the shit hits the fan. The latter deserve more blame for this country falling apart, as moral cowardice is way worse than plain stupidity.
  8. I ran an extra mile because it felt so damn good.
  9. He doesn’t have to think like me. I’m just asking him to accurately write what happened in the class and not instigate in the opening post while he pokes fingers in the chest of anyone who tries to make this thread political.
  10. Ok then. I can clearly recall student protests from the left on various things that never amounted to anything, as well as the ones where student groups sponsoring controversial speakers canceled events. I didn't recall any adverse administration action or certainly the federal government getting involved. But I am old. Shanty out front should have told you. Nonetheless, that report indicates that external pressure from the right recently has accelerated, rather exponentially.

  12. I've tried the low/no carb bit in the past, and I don't find it sustainable for me. I usually work in a quick-digesting carb before a workout (usually a banana), and some slower-digesting carbs post workout (oats or sweet potatoes). Those help feed my muscles and meet my daily fiber goal. Without them, I'm not as regular, and I don't have as good amount of sustained energy throughout the day.

  14. And hey with all us knuckleheads telling you what and how to do it… forgot to say … “welcome to the club!” when you turn the first real corner in about 8 weeks and then the next one at 4-6 months it’s going to be awesome. a year from now you’ll be fit, strong, able to do shit you did in your 30’s and it’s going to be bitchin. Enjoy the ride.
  15. Yes, If you just thought like you were told there wouldn’t be any problem. ’You are free to be a drunkard, an idler, a coward, a backbiter, a fornicator; but you are not free to think for yourself.’
  16. Williams seems like he chokes.
  17. Texas Tech hasn’t done jack squat !!! Texas Tech is not getting shafted by the polls. But the last sentence in the quote cuts to the heart of the matter. The pollster think so highly of what Norte Dame is gonna do in the future they ignore ND’s now - which is a loss Likewise, they think so poorly of Mich and Bama’s future they are ignoring OU and FSU’s now - which are two wins We are used to non helmet schools getting this treatment. To see it happening to 4 helmet schools is something new altogether and it’s completely blowing up any pretense and narratives about history, culture, and tradition and is boldly and blatantly proclaiming F all y’all - we decide who we want in our little game and there’s nothing you can do about it.
  18. Carlos Alcaraz’s US open prize Daytona … $37k…. Want (won’t get). Skinner has a silver one.
  19. If we lose to Japan - does the confederation fire Poch?
  20. Arch is just a different QB. He is much more of a playmaker. He isnt a system guy throwing darts in the short game. I think this is going to be an interesting marriage with Sark. Sark likes system guys. I think Sark is going to have to loosen the leash over time and let Arch be Arch.
  21. Too late to edit, but the above is, I believe, why Talarico among others is not usually explicitly Christian or biblical in his criticism and attacks on the very unchristian things going on in the lege and elsewhere. Part of the whole deal of real Christianity is the humility not to try to tell others they're doing it wrong because you have your own hands full trying not to do it wrong. As is often said by right-thinking folks around here "I'm not a Christian, but I'm trying." I have, however, made the same complaint about Islam in that it seems that the sane followers do nothing to restrain the insane ones. I assume, but don't know that Islam has the same sort of teachings about personal humility and religious righteousness.
  22. Yeah, this won't go down well. Israel carries out attack against Hamas leadership in Qatar, Israeli source says Israel carried out an attack against the Hamas leadership in Doha, an Israeli source told CNN, after an explosion was heard in the Qatari capital. The source didn’t say who was targeted, but Hamas leaders have used the Qatari capital as a headquarters outside of Gaza for years. https://www.cnn.com/2025/09/09/middleeast/qatar-hamas-israel-strike-intl
