When you need this subhed: What was the Hillary Clinton email controversy?
-
I mean....I could even argue with you on that point (worthy of a whole separate thread: we have enough resources and the ability to maintain the population on earth, and even have it grow more. We just don't manage or allocate the resources appropriately). But underneath all of that is some complex morality, moral weighing and judgments, etc., which AI can't/won't do. It can get some basic rules, like "don't come up with a solution that calls for directly killing people," but complex moral thought is beyond it. AI is a tool. If that tool is used to "replace human thought and decision-making in ways that may totally disregard moral guardrails," then we are mis-using it. In the end, our cultural worship of the profit-motive at the expense of everything else (oh the irony....that's a moral decision we've made, and it's a shitty one) is setting us up for unspeakable disaster.

It's the servicing revenue and MSRs. The deal is inked to close in Oct of this year, but we'll see. Redfin is just now completed and this is many multiple more complicated. From what I know, the originations side of the house will be heavily Rocket-centric, and the servicing will model was Cooper does today. -

There’s 2nd lien cash out loans (which, if your current loan is a cash-out you’ll be ineligible for) and lots of “buy before you sell” options. I’m not a big fan of the latter because they are pricey (we have a deal with UpEquity and we typically waive the premium they pay us, but it’s 2% or more in fees), but they are a solution to someone who needs a short-term loan to buy a house they can’t qualify for otherwise. -
If I ever have a "blowout" at work that requires me to have to go home and take a shower, I will not be returning that day. Probably not the next day either. Matter of fact, I'm probably taking the rest of the week off.

for the past 75 years, 0u has been buying national championships by handshaking or bagging the signatures of texas kids, especially from north texas the numbers may have been an order of magnitude less and most of the money was spent on the original commit but what comes around goes around plus, switzer and stoops karma is a bitch

WTF Alamo. Why kick someone when they died. Personally I'm upset how the Alamo is run and how the mgmt tarnish the memory of those who died there. Hence why they will never get a dime from me, if I can help it.

I drove through Dinwiddie on I-85 over the weekend. My only thought was "what a stupid name that is". -

They needed a Mario, a Zelda and another Nintendo IP (or Pokemon) game at launch to really be worth it.

That's some delightful reading. They scapegoated Castiglione and his removal isn't going to solve most of their actual problems.

No argument there. But something has to change to limit the destruction of our planet. Just got served this charming, fear-based ad on Facebook.

It also demonstrates the inability of the Democrats* to either identify an effective softspot or to get into people's social media feeds to exploit it. Admittedly, I didn't think this would be a surprise to anyone, but I am not paid to evaluate that kind of thing. *In this instance, "Democrats" means the consulting firms that the Democratic candidates frequently use.

With Big 10 media days kicking off, I figure the conference deserves a season long thread. Hopefully Foster preps a little more for his speech. I think he should just open with “we’re in Las Vegas. Any questions?”
