  1. Past hour
  2. I do not think you understand what the situation is with Baxter.
  3. outside of the crypitc wording at CB and safety, this all sounds like great news.
  4. Yeah and I would do it again for another 2005. Holy shit we went 22-1 against teams that weren't Ohio State or Georgia the past two seasons. Obviously we are getting close. That one really fucking sucked though.
  5. Seriously. Two-all time teams... two of the biggest programs providing one of the best match-ups of the post-season. Imagine being a Longhorn fan and thinking, "no, I'm done watching Longhorn football now. I don't want this game" WTF y'all!? Win the game and move to a tie for fourth with crybaby Notre Dame on the all-time list. Two of the top five most-watched teams in 2025: Also... Who wants to bet we draw more eyeballs for our bowl than three of these four first round match-ups?
  6. It's also a good way to get shot.
  7. There are some trades I would make there potentially (RBs for some of those DBs) but overall good news.
  8. Alabama mulligan is inherent in most committee members minds.
  9. I don't follow recruiting, but saw some highlights on Derrek Cooper a few months ago and he looks pretty formidable. The posts look pretty current. Did he de-commit or something? Too young? Is this guy gonna be here next year or what? Check out his highlights... The Texas Longhorns secured a commitment from Derrek Cooper, ESPN's No. 1 running back in the 2026 class, in July 2025, a major coup for Coach Sarkisian's staff, who later added local standout Jett Walker, a flipped commitment from Minnesota, to form a powerful 2026 backfield duo, notes ESPN, 247Sports, and USA Today. Cooper, a versatile, big-play threat from Florida, chose Texas over top programs, while Walker brings local talent and impressive high school stats, giving Texas two highly-touted backs for their future. Derrek Cooper (Class of 2026) Status: ESPN's No. 1 RB and a top-30 national recruit. From: Chaminade-Madonna Prep, Hollywood, Florida. Key Factors: Running Back Coach Chad Scott, Sarkisian's vision for an all-purpose role, and comparisons to Bijan Robinson. Why He Chose Texas: Over Miami, Georgia, Ohio State, and Florida State. This video discusses why Derrek Cooper chose the Texas Longhorns: 56s
  10. She doesn’t need to run, not at all.
  11. The play in the 2nd series where Arch checks down to Baxter and he turns upfield..... fuck he looks slow. I know the knock on Wisner is that he's not "explosive" or whatever, but I know if he caught that he's getting to (his) top gear quickly and getting down the sideline quick to reach the first-down marker. Baxter took so long to get going it looks like he's naturally stuck in 2nd gear.
  12. One in which he’s able to replicate his freshman year performance or better. Someone is getting those carries and it’s going to be a tough sale to convince two portal backs to come to Texas in a featured role. I’m also presuming Wisner is gone, regardless of whatever IT deigns to rumor, because I think 130 carries is about what he can expect playing for UT next year and I don’t see how that improves his draft stock.
  13. Man it was just one year ago that half of the football board wanted him at Texas
  14. RPM

    Getting old sucks

I know. Thought about peptides, but think it I've gone beyond what it can do. Would have worked 6 mos - a year ago. Now I've got muscles/tendons that need reattached. My right arm was the same, but worse a few years ago and I had to have surgery. Just going to have to play the VA version of Monopoly until I pass Go.
  15. The 2022 Alamo Bowl against Washington was just about as meaningless as this game, and I recall all of our starters played a full game, save for Bijan who had already declared for the draft and was a projected Top 10 pick. Maybe players like Arch and Simmons take a different approach. But if a team decides to play in a bowl game, I don't think it's good for the team if healthy players who will be returning in 2026 decide to opt out.
  16. Skipped the year end banquet as a captain, so that relationship is all the way broken
  17. You can see where they scrubbed the Soma AI stamp on the right side of the video. Definitely AI.
  18. DBs will be interesting. Most guys would probably want to stay to see if the new coach gives them “a fair shake”. In the end though it will come down to money.
  19. I fucking told you earlier this season, verbatim, that Indiana was more physical and better in the trenches than the other "top" B1G teams, despite their talent level, and that they would have something to say about not only who plays Ohio State for the title but the title itself, while you just sat there and assumed it would be Ohio State vs Oregon, even after Indiana went into Eugene and manhandled them. I told you that it was impossible to tell if Ohio State was actually all that good because the only tough game they had played and would likely play the rest of the season was against a green Arch Manning in the season opener. You know why I was right and you were wrong? Because I guarantee you that you never watched a single second, outside of maybe highlights, of this Indiana team (you didn't even seem to know that they had beaten Oregon on the road when we had this conversation months ago) and just made a series of assumptions based on basically nothing but helmet logos. Their talent level on paper is lower than most other top 25 P4 teams, but they were at least on the same level as Ohio State from a physicality standpoint, and I'd argue that they were flat out better, this was not a fluke performance, and they'd be able to repeat that probably 6-7 times out of 10 against them. There was somebody in the game thread trying to argue with a straight face that Ohio State won the battle in the trenches last night and I just can't understand how people get so chalk brained sometimes even when shit is happening in front of their eyes. It wasn't just in the trenches, either, they were better at every single position other than arguably wide receiver and it was probably a wash in the secondary.
  20. that’s really not bad. Black is the only one I think I’d like to see back that’s on the block. He showed something in that A&M game,
  21. Next stop light pull up will be a little awkward. Sup bro?
  22. but why was he benched for three straight games? not even a substitute appearance? obviously something deeper is going on inside the club for him to be benched like this and then for him to speak out against the club like that.
  23. I don’t have a lot of sympathy for the teams that got left out. It’s really hard to say a team with 2+ losses is deserving of a shot at a championship. That said, I think UT and ND are more capable at making a run at it than at least 7 of the teams that did get in. That tells me that 12 isn’t enough. It also confirms my bias that 16 was the right number for a playoff since before they went to 4 teams. This year it could be argued that 4 would be enough. Last year showed that at least 8 is needed to identify a champion. 12 could have been enough this year if bama and 1 of the G6 teams were left out. I think 16 is the right number. It doesn’t discourage compelling early season matchups. It preserves the value of the conference championship games. It includes at least two G6 teams for the occasional Cinderella story. Plus it puts into play the possibility of a G6 team that goes undefeated in their schedule to host a blue blood school for a playoff game delivering the type of event that would only be possible in college football. I think the bids should be: the conference champions of the B1G, SEC, ACC, and Big 12. You win that game and you’re in. That is the biggest piece of not punishing good OOC games. The next two bids should go to the two highest ranked g6 teams. I think including these teams is good for the sport and creates much more interesting story lines for everyone except the fans of the 5th or 6th best sec/b1g team that gets left out. I don’t give a fuck about them. They are probably a better team, maybe, but we know they aren’t one of the best 4-5 teams in their conference. They can get fucked. After those 6 conference champions, give me 10 at-large bids. The committee should be granted some latitude in the seeding to avoid rematches in the first round. My bracket for this year sets up thusly: 1 IU - 16 Duke 8 OU - 9 Miami 5 Ore - 12 BYU 4 TT - 13 Texas 6 Miss - 11 ND 3 OSU - 14 Tul 7 A&M - 10 Bama 2 UGA - 15 JMU IU’s reward, or OSU’s punishment, for the B1G championship game is that OSU and UGA are on the opposite side of the bracket. I didn’t spend much time on seeding, just avoiding 1st round rematches. Looking at it now, I’d get bama away from a second round 3rd game against UGA. But I think that’s the only major flaw I see in this bracket.
