  1. Past hour
  2. On a side note, was curious about one of the places we like near Camp Wood. Looks like the cabins are just outside of the 100 year flood plain (which honestly does not mean much these days) as you can see below: But what I found interesting is twofold: 1) Data / flood maps that look incredibly outdated 2) Entire sections where there is no digital data available. See the actual town of Camp Wood:
  3. Were you actually going 84 or did they give you a break by not hitting you with the automatically reckless driving for 85+? 85 or more is automatically reckless driving in Virginia and comes with a huge fine and/or jail time. Most of the smaller counties in Virginia are just looking for people to pay their tickets for a couple of hundred and not looking for the headaches that come with misdemeanor reckless driving.
  4. I disagree that AI doesn't have pre-existing guardrails but it may require the AI/LLM host to define a moral framwork. I asked ChatGPT the following: It didn't reply to kill someone and I didn't tell it to keep murder off the list. If I pushed AI by telling it that I would never be able to solve the food shortage and that the family of five would continue to have a calorie deficit, perhaps it would come up with more extreme solutions. However I imagine that murdering a family member would be very far down the list.
  5. "This is doubly sweet since it exposes the desperation that Texas fans have with all things A&M" -- My entire interest is in the sheer joy from watching their stupidity.. from their cultish turditions, to their ineptness at all athletic levels.. It's a daily train wreck ... as Randolf Duke once said "Texas deserves better" - sooner those waterheads embrace their place in the universe the better we all will be.. till then.. wash and repeat you shithead farmers.
  6. So that headline was from 4 and a half years ago. https://www.billboard.com/music/rock/ozzy-osbourne-coronavirus-covid-vaccine-shot-9526267/
  7. 8 months old and growing. 21 lbs at present. Will cut you if you look at him wrong. He's awesome.
  8. “Assholes in arms”
  9. No doubt speeding while posting three recruiting visit tweets and two Hayes Fawcett edits…
  10. Good luck with that. They are the most fucked up company I’ve ever dealt with. They make the DMV look like a well oiled machine.
  11. Austin Hedges and his 0.452 OPS are likely available before the deadline!!!
  12. Cash out refi? To be clear that would be cashing out equity. I’ve never heard of a retail financial product that monetizes rate differentials.
  13. You can still just pay the fine, but you can't do a drivers safety course on those.
  14. Oh...yeah...if you're looking for someone to posit humanity's perfect record on that front, I sure ain't your guy. No argument here. Just suggesting that there's at least a CHANCE for a moral check with humans driving the bus (some days....those chances are much lower than we would like, but they still qualify as a "chance"). As compared to a machine, which doesn't care. "It can't be bargained with, it can't be reasoned with. It doesn't feel pity, or remorse, or fear."
  15. Well, maybe Barry Switzer.
  16. I caught an 84 in a 70 last week. Thanks Dinwiddie County, Virginia.
  17. I need to have this one go away. I’ve got a … volatile history and I would prefer not to impact my insurance rates further.
  18. Yes, because, "intelligence with no humanity or morality" has been something we have wonderfully avoided for the last 7,000 years of civilization.
  19. Someone addressed this before but the general coordination/athleticism of these ostriches is shocking. Pro women’s soccer is clearly slower and less skilled than the men’s game but they at least play the sport capably.
  20. "We're on the fence about whether or not your Surly Horns references are a positive thing."
  21. Fighting traffic tickets is almost always an exercise in futility.
  22. You and my old man would have gotten along great
  23. They must have some special kind of math in Georgia.
  24. With that physique it's hard to believe he was a high school QB and a college safety and not an offensive lineman.
