Texas Football 2025 - Playing With Our Food
BurntOrange&White replied to closetojumping's topic in Football
But modern defenses are being designed to take away those easy scores and deep scores so having to grind out drives is necessary. -
So as we've seen from this example, social media shaming adults into action is partially to blame. It has empowered people to feel they don't have to listen to something they don't agree with or they feel runs counter to their religious beliefs or overall belief system. Some are fine with this until it's their beliefs that are the ones being attacked and removed. Then it's a bridge too far.

Now, now Brisket. We both know that he's simply being consistent. When it comes to blue states doing things they don't like, they maintain the same "hey, who are we to question it. That's the law. Take it up with the courts," approach.

I had no idea Malachi Nelson was the UTEP qb. 5 stars baby.

Have some balls, for once in your life -- BE the finder of fact. Tell us how YOU would rule in such a case. Have a spine. Just for giggles, once in your life. Tell us how YOU would find in such a case, you pathetic coward.

The Leopards Eating Faces and Unlubed Dildo of Consequences Thread

This thread has been properly derailed. -
As a founding member of this board's James Talarico fan club, this is the kind of race I was hoping he'd avoid. An almost certain L here will put him on the list of "popular with democrats but unelectable state-wide" candidates with Beto and Wendy Davis. I was hoping the party would find a congressional district for him, but with the new maps they're already going to have more qualified candidates than seats.

If I were a member of any of those people’s family and cared about them, I would beg them to never do anything like that again.

Your fault for marrying the president of the HOA.

Sark literally (literally!) said in a press conference this week that his philosophy is to gain yards on explosive plays because the analyticis show that scoring drops precipitously when an offensive is predicated on long, grind it out drives.

How about this, do you think its good legal/educational policy for college professors to have to walk on eggshells when it comes to teaching a piece of literature that features a gay or trans character? If you're response is a continued "ThE Law'S tHE laW" then you're every bit the beta bitch boy that you're coming of as with this pussy ass bullshit.

Texas Football 2025 - Playing With Our Food

The ease with which SJSU blew up that "fake one way, spin around backward" screen pass was humiliating. Probably time to vault that one for a while. -
Eva should be pleased to learn about my plans for a sanctuary bedroom. Admittedly "pleased to learn" might be a bit of a stretch.

It would be nice to know what is playing into that number on special teams. Are they weighing punting, kicking, and returns all equally? Is there a way to factor in coverage stuff? If your kickoff specialist just kicks it through the endzone every time, so your opponent starts on the 25, how is that compared to a team that kicks it to the 5 and tackles their opponent on the 23?

Winning a national title is never easy, but I'm not sure I can look at this year or future years and say it will be easier than the path we had in 2023 or last year. As the playoff expands, it creates more opportunities for injuries, bad luck, the ball bouncing in funny ways, etc. The playing field seems to be more level than ever before in the college game due to a variety of factors. I think we all have high expectations of this team and they need to play better, but it's balancing those expectations with the fact that the sport has changed to the point where you are trying to set yourself up to peak at the right time. Going 10-2 in the regular season and setting yourself up for a playoff run is considered a good season. Hell, 9-3 is likely going to start being considered a good season once the SEC starts playing 9 conference games, if we continue to play the Notre Dame and Ohio State types out of conference.

The Astros suck right now and y'all are still 2.5 games back. So, congrats?

I like Talarico and am happy he’s running, but I doubt it will be very close. He has a good background and he speaks a good message on social media, but Texas voters aren’t interested in things like facts and campaign promises. Texas voters care about the R next to the name because that’s a sign the candidate loves Jesus and will fight against abortion and LGBTQ rights. It doesn’t matter if that R candidate cheats on his wife and uses taxpayer money to cover it up, or if the opposing D candidate actually went to seminary, because Texans are too simplistic to even consider those basic truths.

I think that the EO does say any institution taking federal money, or as promulgated by the State, state money, that promoting anything other than 2 genders is a violation. I’m not the finder of fact. As you probably picked up in my last response, taking this issue to a federal court in Texas and then on to the 5th circuit (en banc) you know the answer to your question as well.
