  1. Past hour
  2. SIAP but here is the letter that Abbott, Paxton and now the DOJ says has nothing to do with how the Texas govt redrew that maps even though that they followed it. Pure coincidence. https://lrl.texas.gov/scanned/archive/2025/57372.pdf Non-lawyer but if redrawing districts, due to race, is considered unconstitutional I would assume existing districts based on race are also unconstitutional. Wouldn't the proper method be to attack the current map in court to get a judge to toss out the current maps and then create new non-racially designed maps? Obviously that could be a longer process than just breaking the law. Beg for forgiveness, not ask for permission. What's funny about the 18th district (Houston) is that I don't disagree that it long had a consistent theme that the GOP packed minorities in that district to create more GOP seats. Past Republicans weren't so brazen to go as far as disenfranchising all/most Democrat voters in Houston. Now they want to crack the districts to overwhelm central city voters with suburb or rural votes.
  3. Were you thinking of renewing your National Parks Pass? So beautiful.
  4. How's this been treating you Jimmy
  5. This is completely irrelevant. "Close" or improbably Wins are going to happen to multiple teams in the playoffs every single year. Looking at post-game win expectancy, UGA could easily be a 3 or 4 loss team, OU could easily be a 4 loss team, but they aren't and nobody is talking about that shit.
  6. Don’t lose the first game of a tournament …
  7. 6 teams (A&M, UGA, Ole Miss, 'bama, OU, Vandy)
  8. I can help you with this. You ask silly questions because you don’t know ball, the team you root for is likewise the product of NBA fuckery, and you should feel bad. Luka Doncic came into a grand total of one season in bad shape in part because he was worn down from leading the Mavs to the finals and subsequently playing hurt for his country’s national team. He was spectacular for the lakers after he came back from his injury and now, given a full offseason to rest and recover with a world class training staff like the one Nico fired 2 years ago he’s lighting up the league. You don’t trade that guy. Someday I hope Seattle steals your team back.
  9. Harper has been upgraded to questionable for tonight. Good sign. He can't get back soon enough. Same with Wemby and Castle. They could really use a W tonight. Not very optimistic about the next two at Denver and at Minnesota. They need to get at least one W on this roadie and it's also a cup game.
  10. When you are up 23-19 in a set, you should win that set. Doesn’t always happen that way, and Texas has been on both sides of it, but it hurts to have that score and not win the set and in this case the match. and having it happen to stave off the match generally gives the team that managed to do it a lot of confidence and momentum in the following set. Which can be big when the talent difference is small. disappointed that it happened, but hopefully the team can learn from it and be better for it in the ncaa and the next few seasons for the young players. Some lessons are best learned the hard way.
  11. Arky's defense will probably be significantly better.
  12. What are you talking about? Labour took power on July 5, 2024.
  13. Umm... You referring to this? Tourist visa fees Standard B1/B2 Tourist Visa: The standard application processing fee is $185. Visa Integrity Fee: A new $250 fee is being added to the standard application fee, making the total $435 Visa Issuance Fee: Some nationalities may need to pay an additional visa issuance fee after approval.
  14. Perfect. He’ll keep them around 6-7 wins for 4-5 years
  15. you don't post this , you have CDC call ESPN and tell them to press on the committee to think about the broader implications on OOC scheduling if they fuck this up
  16. It is that bad out there..... https://www.realtor.com/realestateandhomes-detail/3467-Waverley-St_Palo-Alto_CA_94306_M27408-85632
  17. I am Brisketexan, giver of life.
  18. And the best part is that they will mount it onto a bloody mary. Well, at least they will mount a slider on a bloody mary. Sobelman's is insane. As a connoisseur of dive bars, I gotta say that Milwaukee per capita has more neighborhood joints than any other city I've ever been to and each one is better than the next. You can't swing a dead cat in West Allis without hitting a killer bar. I spent three nights there a couple of summer's ago, and my liver still hasn't recovered. Such a fun, cool, town.
  19. Every convo with “anti-Zionist” crowd be like: “the atrocities never happen and when they do it’s one hundred percent justified.”
  20. I do think that by July Houston’s SP could be dramatically improved with internal options. I’m really high on Blubaugh, Pecko, and Brito, but there’s another half dozen guys I’m not that high on that a lot of other people really like: Ullola, Nezuh, Tredwell, Hicks, Mayer, Santos. Houston hasn’t had this kind of upper level minors pitching depth in a few years.
  21. A reminder that Mexicans are the most awesomest people on earth.
  22. And he'll sound just like the Bama AD last year who was roundly laughed at for whining about OOC scheduling when it was that Bama got left out because they lost badly to a bad OU team in late November. It's not about Ohio State being scheduled. It's about losing badly to Georgia and then an unforgivable loss to Florida. Bama was laughed at for losing to Vandy and OU. Us losing to Florida was worse. We were #10 in the rankings before Georgia. We then dropped to 17 after we got blown out. They were keeping us in there even with the bad Florida loss after we beat Vandy.
  23. This was my question as well, but here we are. Also, that is all the info I have from talking to him.
