  1. Past hour
  2. Completely agree on Notre Dame. Liked it more than the Vatican, actually. I knew the back story because the wife (no pics) has a background in historic architecture and can go full nerd on Notre Dame. To see it, though, was much breathtaking. It predates America by like 500 years and is still a functioning church to this day, despite the fire. While we were there, they were having mass, which made it even better. I took 200 years to build but with the intention that literally a thousand years later, it would still be a church and a monument to god and it very well may last that long:
  3. Good boy Roscoe
  4. Cannabis stuff had a great day yesterday because of a social media post from Trump I guess? Thinking about scraping some gains off of my TLRY holdings, which are up about 55% for me (up 40% in the last week).
  5. It’s not that hard pinch zoom on a phone. But here you go. https://officialdavidcross.com/blogs/press/my-thoughts-on-the-riyadh-comedy-festival
  6. If Mateer is rushed back before being fully healthy, reinjures his thumb, makes it much worse and is out the rest of the year...you are saying only people on message boards will care?
  7. It says the casing had not been resubmitted to NIBIN in "many years". Sounds like an overlook to me. Would love to know what year the Kentucky PD uploaded their info. Again - only 2 key pieces of physical evidence exist in this case. How one of those wasn't being comprehensively revisited on an annual basis is insane to me. This is the most famous unsolved murder case in modern APD history. Wtf.
  8. I’m torn. On the one hand I agree with you, but on the other hand if they don’t police his material, is it a bad thing for Burr and Chappelle to get paid to go over there and roast the shit out of the guys who are paying them and speak truth to power? Or even if their material is policed, is it a bad thing to get paid to expose their people to these guys’ brand of comedy? I’m not sure, I tend to assume people sell out. But I don’t think it’s black and white.
  9. Man, that Michael Jordan is so phony!
  10. Copy paste. That’s not legible. Please. Cross usually has a hot take. I just can’t read it.
  11. Are you saying that most people can't fit in clothes they had 30 years ago?
  12. Miss Reveille IX, the beloved former mascot of Texas A&M University, passed away on Saturday, September 27, 2025, due to complications from pneumonia. Key details about her passing: Announcement: The announcement was made by the Commandant of the Texas A&M Corps of Cadets, Retired Lt. Gen. James Bierman Jr.. Service: Reveille IX served as the official mascot, or "First Lady of Aggieland," from May 2015 until her retirement in April 2021. Legacy: As the official mascot, Reveille is considered the highest-ranking member of the Corps of Cadets. Upon her passing, the university and the Corps expressed an immense sense of loss for the symbol of the Aggie spirit.
  13. The volume of fans suggesting Houston trade Yordan Alvarez is shocking. Trading Yordan is neither smart nor realistic. A DH only who is owed over $80M and is coming off a season in which he hit a total of 6 HR in 48 games is a guy you only trade if you are convinced he’s washed and you are absolutely desperate to shed payroll. No team is going to value him as a MLB Top 5 hitter, which is what he is when he’s healthy. If you have designs on trading him to rebuild the farm or free up payroll, fine, but wait until he’s rebuilt his value. If Houston needs to free up payroll, they’ll trade Christian Walker or Josh Hader. If they need to rebuild the farm, they’ll trade Jeremy Pena or Hunter Brown.
  14. It needs to be nuked. It has never been useful for the dems because they are pussies. Who here actually believes the filibuster will actually stop the pubs from doing what they want? It won't because that require respect for rule of law. Just like trump single handedly overriding congressionally approved spending bills, tariffs, and effectively closing entire government agencies they don't give one shit about rules and won't in this fight either. So nuke it. At least the dems won't be under some pretense that it actually matters and if by some miracle they get another presidency, maybe can use this to enact their agenda for a change.
  15. Well, there is also cow tipping, sheep fucking, and the sacrificial ritual of log stacking!
  16. The most incredible part of this entire story is that the shirt still fit.
  17. I thought it came out that “trained on $300k of older nvidias” was later confirmed to be click bait and that it was a bit more involved than that (if not materially or significantly more).
  18. We don't. Why should they?
  19. You need to get yourself a dash cam to either protect your ass when you run one of them over, or to start putting their shit on blast.
  20. Our defense is elite and our offense will have to prove it on the field before I predict us ever scoring more than 28. Texas 24-3
  21. There is some value in familiarity. Introducing a new manager adds risk, as the new manager could generate conflict with star players, which can completely derail an organization. That’s not necessarily an endorsement of Houston keeping Espada, but just to say comparing Espada keeping his current job versus interviewing for other jobs is not apples to apples. I will also say that as a fellow Puerto Rican I would expect Correa to lobby hard on Espada’s behalf; who knows how much weight that holds.
  22. Goddamn there really isnt a damn thing to do in that shit hole, huh? Its like one bigass higg school
  23. You should probably get into rehab and get into a job first.
  24. It goes to Austin Transit Partnership and either has been sitting in capital funds or been spent on admin and consultants. Definitely nothing wasteful going on. Great ROI. https://www.atptx.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/07/20241114_BudgetReport508_Final.pdf
  25. Also unironically, concerts have been the opposite of what you describe for most of our lifetime. Roger Waters had Trumps face on the Pigs, and that was in his first term. Green Day show I went to was politics on blast. Sports used to be at least bipartisan but bipartisan is long gone. That’s a shame, it used to be one thing people could agree on.
