I was thinking about this yesterday. The first movie is really stupid and cheesy and we all love it because it came out in the 90s when most of us were still kids or teenagers. The sequel is really just more of the same with more cameos and (like @SizzleChest pointed out) a way over the top satire of LIV. Coincidentally, I had just watched Oppenheimer again the day before and couldn't stop giggling at the contrast between Benny Safdie's characters in both movies.

Senior Citizen Issues - Assisting Your Parents

The other day, I was bitching to myself, while running errands for MIL, about how my wife’s brother and sister not only don’t help (financially or with contributed time), but don’t even acknowledge all the shit we do for their mom. A “thank you” now and then would be appreciated. Then, I reflected a little on how much of the load with my dad is carried by my sister. I got her on the phone to say how much I appreciated what she was doing and asked her when her vacation plans were, so I could cover for her with dad. -

You never see those cars off Rundberg. Rundberg is full of beat to shit minivans with fake plates and giant work trucks with fake plates.

I played the cornet in 6th and 7th grade, so this hit close to my childhood home.

Perennial health, not directly related to fitness, thread

Not sure we “feel” anything but if the emerging science is correct it could be hugely beneficial from an aging and longevity standpoint. I need at least one more this year. Maybe two. Probably one right before the holidays and one right after. Then back to spring and summer for 4x per year. let me know how it goes. And don’t be worried about breaking a fast there’s no magic in the exact number of hours. If you feel not up to the last 12-24, don’t force it. -
Non-Texas weather. The all-encompassing thread

On the return trip taking the oldest to CSU, six years ago, we encountered a storm with winds so powerful the rain put thousands of tiny dents on one side of the Suburban we rented. I learned these derecho storms should be taken seriously. I guess I was blissfully unaware for most of my life. This was posted less than an hour ago. -

dough making is still a black art to me. i ordered some proofing boxes and going to make a few more earnest attempts at doing it right. theres tons of pizza 'influencers' online now and theyre making incredible stuff. particularly from this guy i got the idea to use nduja -- which apparently is an italian sausage but sounds east african -- so thats next on the list

I’m getting closer and closer to making an account to send all of their Black players and recruits in every sport the racist shit A&M fans spew left and right everyday

I wondered if there were some Ukraine-related concessions involved with the new EU trade deal. Maybe this is one or maybe he was just talked into it.

He's clearly lamenting the fact that Hilary Clinton is one of those women who does not get a pass.

Initially I thought it was Beam. Sipped some more and it’s decent-ish Heaven Hill. You’d be better off just buying ECBP and saving 20 bucks.

100% true. That was always perplexing to me when I lived in Knoxville. That is, Vol fans claiming that every other fanbase was/were hillbillies. Hell, their own fight song is about living in the hills and making moonshine. -

I know the answer to Question 1. One of the spring DCTFs, of that era, answered it. Aggie boosters pressured Bellard to take Tom Wilson on his staff as OC, to modernize the offense with pro style passing. Bellard took Wilson on staff, but kept running the wishbone. The Ags faltered a little, and the seat heated up. Bellard said, “Fuck this, I’m out of here” and Wilson took over as HC. -
