  2. "On the right, you will see people dressed in @Armybrat era-appropriate attire."
  3. If only we could say the same about the actual justice that'll be rendered. The Cro-Magnon will post bail within 12 hours and commence the process of being a piece of shit to someone else.
  4. The Pro Golfer scenes were the best...you can tell they really enjoyed this. Some probably grew up on the original. Agreed...even my wife recognized him when he popped up with a "Oh, that's Domingo!" first time I noticed she was even watching the movie.
  5. 5x first team All-NBA. What a loser
  6. I think your expectations were out of whack. This was probably as good as we could have reasonably hoped for, on a 30 years later HG sequel on Netflix.
  7. Day 6 observations The Houston Texans were in pads for the second time in their sixth training camp practice. Here are 11 observations from the workout. C.J. Stroud and the offense had a slow start. The 7-on-7 period started with a throw low and behind Xavier Hutchinson from Stroud. The coverage was tight, but Stroud blew the throw. The next pass, Stroud worked back to his right and threw an interception to Calen Bullock. Monday Bullock dropped the interception, but he held on to this one. It felt like it was going to be one of those days for the offense, but it wasn’t. Stroud’s next pass was a strike to Christian Kirk for a big gain. Davis Mills followed with some solid plays, and Kedon Slovis’s work was quick and effective. The offense bounced back from those early hiccups. The team portions were much better for Stroud. After a short gain on the ground for NickChubb, Stroud struck again. Kirk was again the recipient of the pass from Stroud, slicing through the middle of the defense. That was all for that early team portion from Stroud. His work was done on one play. Back on the field, the offense went sideways to Nico Collins for a short gain, but there was a penalty. Another penalty erased an incomplete and that was all for the Stroud-led offense in the initial team portion. Stroud was back on the field coming out of his end zone. Two plays went nowhere before a pass over the middle to Brevin Jordan gave the offense some breathing room. A sack likely erased the biggest play in this team portion, but Stroud found Schultz behind the defense for a huge gain. Nico Collins hauled in a Stroud pass in traffic, and that was about it for Stroud’s day. He never seemed flustered by the pressure, and he didn’t appear down when the offense had issues moving the ball. Jayden Higgins got robbed and got rocked in practice. Let’s start with the big hit. Higgins skied for a ball from Stroud with a defender all over him. As the rookie wide receiver tried to come down for the ball, Jalen Pitre arrived. He smacked the hell out of Higgins, dislodging the ball. Higgins showed no ill effects from the big hit during this practice. The defense, and some of the coaches, tried to rob Higgins of a great catch. Mills let it fly from his end zone. The pass was high, but Higgins had a chance at it with his height and athleticism. He jumped and caught it. Higgins landed with both feet in bounds. The defense protested, but the official said it was a catch. The coaches reset the offense as if it weren’t a catch. Robbery. The offensive line continued to battle. I was impressed with their ability to hold up in an unfavorable situation. There were a few moments they will want back, like sacks and penalties. The drives started on the two. I thought for sure they would give up a safety, but they didn’t. They still haven’t sprung any big runs. It feels closer than it did yesterday. There were some holes for the rushers in this practice. It was a solid day for the offensive line with room to improve as well. The first offensive line was Cam Robinson at left tackle, Laken Tomlinson at left guard, Jake Andrews at center, Tytus Howard at right guard, and Aireontae Ersery at right tackle. Later, Jarrett Patterson replaced Andrews with those other linemen in their same spots. Another rough moment popped up for Blake Fisher. Fisher was lined up with the second team most of practice. He had a penalty that enraged coaches. He was lined up at right tackle. The quarterback gave a couple of hard counts trying to get the defense to jump. They didn’t, but Fisher did. Offensive coordinator Nick Caley demanded someone replace Fisher. Zach Thomas came in for the second-year tackle. A positive for Fisher from this day was that his pass blocking looked better than it had. Danielle Hunter was the game wrecker during this workout. He dominated left tackle Cam Robinson once. Hunter got Robinson again moments later. He seems more active in run-stopping than I remember. There is a talent drop when Hutner and Will Anderson leave the field, sure, but the intensity doesn’t drop. Dylan Horton had another good rep for a sack. Horton, Darrell Taylor, and Solomon Byrd have taken advantage of the reps vacated by Derek Barnett and Denico Autry. The two veterans are still on the Physically Unable to Perform list. Jalen Pitre returned to practice. He had missed the last two workouts and the walkthrough. He made his presence felt around the line of scrimmage on a few run plays. That’s what he did well last year in his new role. What he didn’t do well was cover, and he got smoked twice in this one. Kirk easily dispatched him to get separation and a nice gain. Brevin Jordan got Pitre later on a quick route upfield. He has to cover better from that spot. Arthur Maulet backs up Pitre. He returned to practice in a limited capacity with a non-contact jersey. That limited his practice time. Rookie cornerback Jaylin Smith has had some nice moments in camp. He reads plays well. He made a sound decision today to stop an offensive play short of the first down. He’s had some pass breakups in camp. Smith is in line to be the backup outside cornerback should the Texans be missing Kamari Lassiter or Derek Stingley Jr. Cornerback Myles Bryant is scratching and clawing for a roster spot. If he doesn’t make the team, it will not be for lack of trying. He relishes his opportunities in the nickel. He was all over John Metchie in 7-on-7 for a pass breakup. He flies around on special teams. The diminutive corner is easy to root for when he plays this hard. Veteran wide receiver Justin Watson has been consistent. He has hauled in a few nice catches, including another big gain for a first down Tuesday. He hustles on special teams. He can line up with the first team and the third team. I like what I’ve seen from him so far. Tim Settle Jr. has had a good camp. He’s constantly making an impact against run plays. I feel like I see him teaming with one of the ends to make a play all the time. He seems to come out for clear passing downs, but I am unsure if that is by design or to give other players looks. Settle rushed the passer well at times last year. I’d say he has been the most impressive defensive tackle in camp to this point. Additional Observations The design of the play in which Stroud threw the interception was interesting. It featured Nico Collins stacked inside of Dalton Schultz. Nick Caley has put fun looks on the field. Jawhar Jordan has been the best running back in training camp. John Metchie had another nice day. J.J. Taylor had his first notable carry of practice. I saw him gain five yards on one rush in a team period. Woody Marks had a nice rep where he kept his eyes up and legs churning. He turned nothing into something. Casey Toohill demolished Zach Thomas for a sack. Xaier Hutchinson held onto a tough one on the sideline. He had to fully extend, and he kept the ball through the tumble to the ground. It was a catch despite the defensive players’ protests. Kyonte Hamilton had a huge tackle for a loss. He darted through the line and smashed the running back. He was letting the offense hear it. The Texans will practice next on Wednesday.
  8. Notably, Epstein was killed the day after the 2nd Circuit Court of Appeals ordered her civil suit unsealed. The facts in that civil case is what laid the groundwork for Maxwell's conviction in 2021. From Giuffre's wiki page: In mid-2000,[27][28] Giuffre met Ghislaine Maxwell when working as a spa attendant at Donald Trump's private Mar-a-Lago club while reading a book about massage therapy.[21] Maxwell, a British socialite and daughter of the late media tycoon Robert Maxwell, approached Giuffre, noted the book that she was reading, inquired about her interest in massage, and offered her a potential job working for Epstein as a traveling masseuse with the assurance that no experience was necessary.[21] When Giuffre arrived at Epstein's Palm Beach home, she says he was naked lying down and Maxwell told her how to massage him. "They seemed like nice people so I trusted them, and I told them I'd had a really hard time in my life up until then—I'd been a runaway, I'd been sexually abused, physically abused. ... That was the worst thing I could have told them because now they knew how vulnerable I was", Giuffre stated.[22] Giuffre stated that after Maxwell introduced her to Jeffrey Epstein, the two quickly began grooming her to provide sexual services under the guise that she was to be trained as a professional massage therapist.[29]
  9. this seasons slowly fading into oblivion. HOH winner lauren regrets winning HOH to prevent blood on their hands. i dont remember the last HOH to make a big move this early to fuck things up. the first couple of blocks include of the oldest non threats in the house from a competition standpoint. havent seen a good backstabbing in years. the POV blockbuster is fucking stupid. the powers are stupider. HOH shouldnt go punished for winning what theyre supposed to or its only gonna make contestants hesitant to do anything crazy because theres a good chance of it backfiring
  10. Cool article about the genesis of the new 2026 regulations. https://www.espn.com/espn/feature/story/_/id/43832710/how-f1-evolved-1950-where-headed-2026
  11. god damn i love the entire second half of this track so fucking much. saw it live at hollywood bowl last october and it blew me away. one of my new all-time favorite guitar solos.
  12. Thanks for the link. Just read this one now from BBC: https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c14g8gk8vdlo I think it supports a lot of the politico article, but maybe leans in a little more to the point of this being a political L for EU and a political win for Trump (at the moment):
  13. 100% true. The options this presents could be so fun. I'd love to see some creative double mug looks with Burke, Simmons, Hill, Spence, Moore, and Zina U/Vasek on obvious passing downs. You don't even need to commit to cover 0 and rush six, but there's credible threat with six outstanding options to sack the QB.
  14. They don't have the staff to man the all the tables. Further, thin bankrolled 30k millionaires(or whatever the current equivalent) are significantly more profitable than someone who can bet table max odds.
  15. I’m torn between streaming Happy Gilmore 2 or watching this band of misfits tonight. Both options seem shitty.
  16. Now that we know it was a girl, I think we have to assume Epstein actually stole her. As in kidnapped her.
  17. 70+ years of empirical data that nothing you say has any real, negative consequences.
  18. Things are so much more stress free when you finally accept that no combination of words is ever going to matter.
  19. Lol why would you ever admit that
  20. All I know is that Billy wrote those songs, and if he hadn't done that, most of the guys in his band would have been slugging it out regionally with far less to show for it. They weren't bad players, not by a long shot, but I can't think of one of them who I thought was transcendent (although I do really like Liberty DeVitto as a drummer and Richie Cannata on woodwinds).
  21. I think those of us who hated HG2 are just starving for a classic comedy us guys can repeat lines from 10-15-30 years from now. We had a hell of a run in the 90s with the Happy madison movies, Ace Ventura, Dumb and Dumber etc. early 00's with 40 YO virgin, Superbad, Meet the parents, Old school. I know im missing some in both genres. I dont remember the last real true comedy cult classic that almost every one thought was fucking hilarious but also an original. HG 2 was just put together slop. probably took 2 weeks to write and took more effort to get the cameo appearances to clear schedules so they could pass through to act.
  22. Normally handlers of a political or public figure would be pulling their hair out of these comments. Just another day in Trumpworld, though. Any statements to clear it up would be something like "President Trump is one of the greatest businessmen the world has ever known. He knows better than anyone, there are things you don't do in business. He's accomplished more in the first few months of his term than any President has accomplished in history, certainly more than Barack Hussein Obama and Sleepy Joe combined, and he's not slowing down. While they committed treason and filled files with lies, he's keeping his campaign promises to Make America Great Again!"
  23. Go to Johnson City and register there. You don't have to register in the same County. I had to get my license renewed, I drove to Seguin and had it done the next day. Didn't have to wait 3 months for an appt.
  24. I hope he has a full recovery. Also, when did he become an aggy yell leader?
  25. Sorry for the thread derail, carry on (even you Helobious).
  26. Pavia reminds me of a couple of vatos locos I grew up playing ball with in all 3 major sports. I love that dude. He truly has leadership magic. That said, sure, I hope Texas beats his ass by 50. I assume LG is going to be a thing too, right? Folks, we’re in deep shit here. Even Codaxx is drinking the koolaid.
