It was probably on this thread somewhere but someone said the SEC should probably stop playing in the Sugar Bowl since they never want to be there.9 points

I view religious extremism with equal severity. Radical Islam is an existential threat to humanity. Radical Christianity is an existential threat to me and my people. Guess how many of each are in this country. The people who scare the crap out of me on a daily basis are white, fundamentalist, conservative Christians. Can we deal with both with the same sweeping generalities?7 points

Aggie could hire Dave Bliss as the new AD, Larry Nassar as the Team Physician, Art Briles as HFC, and Aunt Becky as their academic advisor and Luicci would spin them all as great hires6 points

The answer to this is a truth that they will never admit: they are glad that Putin is helping them win elections. And they would love for him to keep doing it, as long as he is for them.5 points

Mueller laid out in granular detail the Russian attack on our nation and how Trump welcomed the attack and its benefits to him. Mueller then laid out with an avalanche of evidentiary detail how Trump met all the criteria for guilt on criminal obstruction of justice on numerous counts to prevent revelations related to his parallel motions with the Russians and their attack. The Mueller report is an indictment specifically intended to be delivered to Congress. If Democrats do not impeach, they will arguably be breaking their oath of office. Go forward regardless of what Senate GOP thinks. Deliver to the GOP a choice to break their oath of office.4 points

"President Donald Trump’s approval rating has taken a hit since the redacted Mueller report was released to the public on Thursday morning. According to a new poll by Reuters/Ipsos, Trump’s approval rating now stands at 37 percent, a 2019 low. The poll, which saw a three point drop from a similar poll taken just five days earlier, which showed the president with a 40 percent approval rating, was conducted Thursday afternoon to Friday morning, after U.S. Attorney General William Barr went out of his way to put the best face he could on Mueller’s report. Fifty percent of the adults polled said they believe that President Trump tried to stop the Mueller investigation. And fifty percent said they think Trump or someone from his campaign worked with Russia to influence the 2016 election. When asked if the Mueller report has changed their minds, 68 percent said they were more likely to believe that President Trump or someone close to him broke the law. That’s up from 49 percent in March." So like Trump said, total exoneration.4 points

Got married 50 years ago this July 12th. I was in the Air Force and didn't have two nickels to rub together. We went to Gibsons and bought two wedding bands. Mine was 8 dollars and hers was 12. Spend your money on something more important than jewelry. If the price of the ring bothers her find another woman.4 points

"Republicans need to look no further than the nearest mirror if they’re looking for who to blame for Russian’s attack on the United States. Mitch McConnell refused to do the right thing for his country when the Russians attacked us. Instead, he did what he always does; when asked by President Obama to take a unified stand against Russia, McConnell threatened President Obama. Now that the Muller indictment of the 13 Russians and 3 Russian businesses makes the fact that the Russians attacked the United States in the lead up to the 2016 election unimpeachable, Republicans are doing what they do — blaming President Obama." They wrote that by mid-September, the Obama White House was looking to take action on Russia and asked, in a secret meeting with the Gang of 12 – a bipartisan group of House and Senate leaders – for a show of “show of solidarity and bipartisan unity” against Russian meddling in the election. Guess what Obama got. A big fat no, led by Mitch McConnell. A kick in the gut to democracy and patriotism by the Republican Senator. “McConnell raised doubts about the underlying intelligence and made clear to the administration that he would consider any effort by the White House to challenge the Russians publicly an act of partisan politics.” https://www.politicususa.com/2018/02/17/earth-to-conservatives-mitch-mcconnell-threatened-president-obama-against-publicizing-the-russian-meddling.html4 points

How is this “weird?” i think with what we know now, the Obama administration absolutely underestimated or didn’t understand Russian intentions. Fast Forward 4 years and it is abundantly clear what Russia has done and continues to do,.. So what does the current President do? He goes to Helsinki and jacks off Putin and lets him finish on his face.4 points

Happy Easter weekend Lamb Shanks Start with 3 of these and brown the outsides. Then sautée this stuff in the oil and grease left over Then put the shanks back in with beef broth, red wine, chopped rosemary and parsley, tomato purée and paste, bay leaves and braise for 2.5 hours. Served over cauliflower mash with a shitload of butter and garlic. Also had some sprouts I roasted in the cast iron. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro4 points

NTB is correct. Collectors can be a fussy bunch. As stated earlier, my dad collected mostly Spanish/Mexican Pillar Dollars (Pieces of Eight) from primarily the 18th Century with a few from the 16th & 19th. I had this silver bezel custom made for this extra piece so Mrs. Brat could wear it. The coin is not the exact same size as a silver Dollar, so the jeweler had to make it by hand. Damn thing cost $100. So much for a "free" Piece of Eight. lulz3 points

I'm going to regret this, but what the hell. I was reacting to your asinine comment that Rick Barnes was (to attempt to put it in words) vastly superior to Mack Brown in their respective roles. You then went on and used the equally asinine argument that because Mack was such a great recruiter he "should have" done even better than he did, which completely ignores the fact that one of the biggest, if not THE biggest jobs of a college football head coach is . . . bear with me here . . . recruiting. You want people to consider the relative stature of Texas football and basketball, and you want people to ignore actual results. You can't have it both ways. You can type your word salad until you're blue in the face, and evoke some perceived ability to understand history better than anybody else, and maybe even reference your Dad and your friends who have played for Texas, but you will never convince me nor most people that the silly comment you made about Mack and Rick is true. And guess what, we are all just as passionate as you, just as steeped in history, just as smart, and just as capable of drawing and supporting a different conclusion. And, a large percentage of us even went to school here.3 points

Why have I been constantly hearing the idea that if their isn’t a crime, then their can be no obstruction? Is this a bunch of baloney? Also, is it insane to think that if you were being accused of a crime you didn’t commit and had the long schlong of the IC and every MsM outlet propagandizing the world that you did this crime, then would it be reasonable to think that you may act a little vindictive toward the forces trying to smear you? Link that discussion up and let’s see about the context, but your attempt to discredit GG hasn’t moved me one iota.3 points

Sure thing Looch, all those big oil Jett Rink dudes with more money than sense don't meddle at all in aggy sports. Drunken Houston lawyers with army tanks and art destroying coke whores don't meddle either. Petroleum industry KY jelly salesmen are cool with you and Johnny. Not a clown show at all, for sure. Big swinging peen aggys don't demand shit. They will give Jimbo several 8-5 seasons because he "gets" aggy unlike Sumlin who just did not fit in with the "culture".3 points

In 1980, the University of Texas had 8,981 freshman on campus and a total enrollment of 46,148. The population of Texas was 14.75 million. In Fall 2018, the University of Texas had a freshman class size of 8,960 and had a total enrollment of 51,832. The population of Texas is currently about 29 million. UT hasn't grown much since 1980 and Texas has doubled. So somewhere around the state we need room for at least another 9000 or so kids that would have gone to UT if the Texas had grown at the same rate as the population. A&M is trying to solve this problem by getting bigger. Texas, by staying the same size, is getting better just because it's harder to get in. We need other schools around the state in the UT system to get bigger and better too, just to keep the same level of opportunity that Texans had in 1980. The lege is helping by dumping money into UT-Dallas to attract kids. As a result, UT-Dallas's SAT scores are on par with UT-Austin's. Hopefully they keep going with other UT schools until we have a true California style system rather than two big schools plus everyone else.3 points
