  2. Fuck the HOA is the correct answer. HOAs have the ability to use discretion and not enforce a rule just like most places that are in charge of something. This is a situation where the clearly correct thing to do is to let it go. Signed, An HOA president who is an HOA president specifically to keep assclowns from being dicks

  4. My wife has been “really into” this new show (You) recently despite spending 90% of the episode staring at her phone. I call her out (since i hate the show and want to watch something else) and she insists she’s paying attention. So tonight I ran a little experiment. We watched an episode and she, predictably, was looking at her phone the whole time. When the episode ended I asked if she wanted to watch another. She agreed. So i restarted the same episode to see if she would notice. 15 minutes in I had to break it to her. She had no clue. Now I’m watching Duke/Clemson and she has retreated into the bedroom in a huff to “watch the damn show without me”. Win?

  5. I don’t like these newfangled “L-E-D” lightbulbs, with their energy efficiency and their durability. In my day, if we wanted light you had to sit under a hollowed-out old tree during a thunderstorm and curse the gods until they sent a lightning bolt to strike you down! And then you grabbed a burning branch from the tree and ran back home to light a fire so you could see to read. But the book binding was covered in oil and sparks from the fire would cause it to burst into flames right there in your hand! And the stink of your own melting flesh filled your nostrils until you got sick and cried out “Oh why oh why did I ever curse the gods?!?” But it was too late. Your hands were molten stumps and your book was a pile of ashes. And we LIKED it! We liked it fine! L-E-D lightbulbs. Flibbidee-floo!

  6. yes. and not only treason. his attorney michael cohen is in fucking federal prison for fucking fraud at trump's direction. during the 2016 election his campaign clearly coordinated with russia about the timing of released emails. recently, he tried to coordinate with ukraine to help him in an attempt to influence the 2020 election. and hell, that doesn't even get into all the obstruction of justice his administration has implemented. i mean, shit you know all that. you know how many people in trump's orbit have gone to prison. he is a criminal. there's is no denial of any of it. and i do not see you denying anything. i see you asking questions. that's the tactic of a "i'm not a supporter of trump, but i'll go to great lengths to hand wave away his despicable behavior, because it triggers the libs, lol" partisan. as far as the democratic (man, i bet you think you're really clever with the "democrat" langauge, but you're really tipping your partisan hand again) candidate, i think most not named tom steyer and pete buttigieg will beat trump, and even those two have a chance. 2018 is a fairly good indication to me that people will come out to vote against trump, much like people came out to vote against hillary in 2016.

  7. There is no situation where I side with an HOA. None. Fuck all of them. Neighbor of mine down here near Circle C just got a letter informing her she's being fined $2000 (yes, you read that right) for leaving her trash bin out past 5pm on pick up day. Today I'm going around to photo document all the shit that they (the HOA) are required to take care of which they are not. I will issue my own fines along with the name of an attorney to contact for questions. Fuck 'em all. #YourHuckleberry

  15. Like I said from the beginning, he’s been friends with my son since the 1st grade. They talk. He was all in on Texas, loves Coach Giles and Coach Hernan, but didn’t like Orlando’s defense. He backed away. Other schools used the 3 man front against us. He was basically done. He loved what he saw in the bowl game with the 4 man front. He’s seen what Ash dud at OSU and he likes it. He’s coming to meet Ash. If they hit it off and he likes what he sees and hears, I think he will end up here. Remember, Jalen and him are a package deal 🤫😁😉

  20. Many folks wringing their hands over WR. Losing Duvernay will suck for everyone except for fatkid, I realize. But hell, beyond that, CJ missed half of the season. Burt was pretty much irrelevant. Mehringer was a fucktard that fucktarded his fucktardiness all over the WR unit, so losing him has to be addition by subtraction. Just letting them all play and practice without a coach would be an upgrade. So what has folks worried? Texas returns, at least as of now: -Jake Smith - if he doesn't transfer -Kennedy Lewis -Troy Omeire - I mean, I wasn't high on him compared to QJ, but we lost QJ, so I'll take the guy -Kobe Boyce - okay, I don't know what I think here -Dajon Harrison -Marcus Washington - if he doesn't transfer -Jordan Whittington - if he doesn't play TB -Brennan Eagles -Joshua Moore - if they allow him to return -Al'vonte Woodard - if he doesn't transfer Okay, yeah, now that I'm really thinking about, what in the fuck is Texas doing not locking Dixon up months ago? They need to find a GT somewhere, if possible. Holy shitballs. There is a ton of risk on that list in various ways.

  21. A 15 year old boy could wreak havoc in an elderly community like this. He would be riding his bicycle and scooter all over the place, and skateboards too. Not to mention the loud music, possibly even rap. You people just don't understand.

  22. How long will it be before people realize that doing something at a high level is not required to teach it at a high level? This is not specific to Carrington as at Texas I want people who have proven to be good teachers, but whether or not the guy played college football will have jack shit to do with whether or not he could possibly be good at coaching technique.

  23. yeah but lets be honest here folks, this isnt your average "all HOAs suck" issue. Those 55+ communities have some really iron-clad verbage in their HOA agreement, The olds pay extra for the idea of not having to deal with kids on their lawn. Its a terrible position for the kid to be in, and the HOA has to enforce their own rules or they get sued by the residents. The only way i think they could have gotten around this was to have a vote for all the HOA members to ask for a single 1 time exception that expires the moment the kid either graduates HS, or turns 18, whichever is later. But then again, their HOA bylaws might not allow for an exception vote. Also, the article points out that the HOA will have given them almost 2 years to work out an alternate option, so its not like the kid is being kicked out right now. they have until this school year ends to come up with an alternate place to stay I know this wont be a popular post, and I expect to get negged because it sounds like I have no heart, but reading the article, it sounds like the HOA gave as much leeway as they could without being taken down by other members of the HOA.

  24. This is a very good point. As every person that is even remotely knowledgeable about football always says, it’s not your QB, OL, or OC that makes the offense click, it’s two WRs and maybe a RB. And similarly, they’ll also tell you that if you lose your top two WRs, then your defense is doomed next year.

  29. like i said, explaining the difference would be a fool's errand. repeat posts of memes is considered trolling on nearly every board out there. however, since you are appearing to try to engage in a meaningful discussion, i'll give you a respectable answer: my prediction is that the senate and mcconnell will engage in a rolling cover up of "it does not matter" nonsense, like you have done in your post just now. the mueller investigation highlighted that our president is a criminal engaging in criminal acts, and only was not indicted because the office of president is above indictment as a policy. but you ignore that. just like mitch mcconnell will ignore the facts and try to hand wave everything away, and whip his thin majority into lockstep. the president will not be removed. and you'll keep claiming "nothingburger" despite the mountain of evidence that our president is a criminal worse than nixon. he's the most crooked president we have ever had. if the republicans had any sense of morality, they would remove him from office. what's so bad about pence? but none of it matters. i still think he loses in november, for the record, if the democrats can stay on message and not slam their face into the sidewalk. but then that's expecting a hell of a lot out of the democrats, who seem to spend 25% of their time picking themselves up from the sidewalk and scraping themselves off.
