  6. I don’t think I’ve ever posted in the CR in the last 12 years, but I saw this on twitter and my fucking head almost exploded. My entire fucking neighborhood in lower Manhattan is covered in boarded windows in the midst of global pandemic and recession, and this mother fucker can’t even hold a fucking book like a human? Fuck him and anyone who even comes close to aligning with him.

  8. Why should I care if the dude was a piece of shit 10 years ago? From all reports, he did his time (probably should have been much longer) turned his life around and moved to a new city to start over. The dude was murdered by a cop while in custody, change needs to happen, end of discussion.

  11. Meanwhile, on the call with the governors, SecDef Esper said, "I think the sooner that you mass and dominate the battlespace, the quicker this dissipates and we can get back to the right normal." There is so much to unpack in this one sentence. 1) "Dominate the Battlespace"? First off, who fucking says that even when there is a "battlespace." Second, there's no fucking battlespace. Philadelphia isn't Falluja. And if it is Falluja, then the federal government has already lost any claim to legitimacy. 2) "Get back to the right normal" is precisely what the protesters are opposing. And saying that reflects a fundamental ignorance of what we're dealing with as a country. I mean, Jesus--where do they find these people?

  12. 1. IMO, while there are good cops, a good cop becomes a bad cop when they do not stop bad cops. My idea for curtailing this is a lot like Brisket's, but goes even further (1. Have salaries be higher, but bennies lower (especially pensions - make them like the rest of us), 2. I will not say disallow Police unions, but significantly decrease their power and position. There is a happy medium, but right now the Union has way too much power, 3. Have pensions be liable when bad cops do shit like this, and the taxpayer will NOT replace those lose dollars, 4. Those up the chain of command of a bad cop ALSO lose their job and face civil and potentially criminal penalties (negligence in oversight or something like that). I guarantee if the Captain or Chief's well being on the job is at stake, some shit will change, 5. Any cops doing shit like Chauvin are fired, charged criminally, and lose all benefits (including vested pension)) 2. The protests need to be more organized. In NYC, you have to have a permit to march down the road. A couple of hundred thousand marching down Fifth Ave to City Hall would be much more impactful than what we are seeing now. 3. Fuck the violence, property damage, and looting. The folks doing this are, in the vase majority of cases, NOT protestors. They are far right/left groups who are itching for out and out civil war in the US. Fuck these people. Their actions damage the community further. These fuckers should be held criminally and civilly liable. And if someone like Trump is instigating (or the equivalent on the far left), fuck them. Hold them accountable too. No one should be above the law, and using social media to incite violence is akin to yelling fire in the crowded theater.

  15. You know what man? Fuck off. I am a millennial - 38 years old with two kids and parents in their 70s who are afraid to leave the house in the middle of a pandemic. You think I’m self-absorbed? You know who is fucking self-absorbed? Boomers. Fucking boomers. Maybe you were talking about Gen Z but you should probably think about giving them credit for getting stuck with this shithole of a “democracy” their predecessors have built for them. edit - I see this was covered by a few

  24. She had actually lived that scene many times. Now, for today's adventure. My wife has slowly turned in to a hoarder. Not Mitch C. level, but our garage and basement if a fucking hazard area. She won't throw shit away.....and has even dug out stuff from the trash that I've thrown away...old tshirts, a beat-up old cowboy hat that didn't fit me anymore, old shoes... (we can use it for rags, I'll wear that in the garden, we can take them to Goodwill). Anyway, we have a TON of cookie sheets, flat pans, broiler pans...WAY too many, but she won't get rid of them. They are housed in this old table we made into a center island. The doors have these cool things called locks. They help keep the doors shut....unless the fucking thing is so full, the doors won't stay shut. How do we deal with that? Throw stuff away? Move it around? Fuck that noise. She has the solution. Oh.. "We CAN'T have shoes in the house. You will bring in the virus." I guess the little virus bastards just stick to my shoes/boots.

  26. Picked up this little girl on Friday evening. 7 weeks old. She has definitely made an impression on our other dog (just turned 1). They have become fast friends. Kids/wife named her Muffin. Daughter (no pics, 6) said “her nickname can be muff.” I said no. I will probably call her little dog, because she’s going to be a little dog.

  27. Ha. You're quoting a fucking Q Anon follower. Because if anyone will believe one bullshit conspiracy after another, it's a fucking Q follower. And just to give you a clue about the area this moron posted about, it is in a mixed use/mixed zoned area that's under constant construction. Stuff torn down. Stuff being renovated. It's also not in a highly visible area. It's also not downtown. That's Uptown, a full 15 minute walk from downtown. So if this is some sort of wild Antifa plot to get black people to throw bricks in white areas, they probably should've moved the brick pile to McKinney Avenue or Cedar Springs. No one is going to walk down Routh or Howell.

  28. Yes you fucking piece of shit, his life still matters. You might want to actually read the entire article, which points out there was no way the cops in MN could have been aware of his over a decade old charge and arrest and record when they killed him. You’re sorta missing the point about the problem being his skin color, the systemic behavior of police officers being the actual issue at hand, and the over-arching issue of cops being corrupt and protecting the Cops who are dirty. And let’s not forget the whole American notion of getting a fair trial. That guy got murdered for *allegedly* passing a bad $20 bill while being black. so fuck you for bringing up a 12 year old burglary charge the guy did his time for and by all accounts turned his life around and using it to justify the behavior of shitty cops and his resultant death.

  30. Todd Orlando: gets commits from elite guys like Jalen Green, Anthony Cook, and D'Shawn Jamison. Proceeds to utilize their excellent press techniques, physical nature, and natural coverage skills by backing them 14 yards off the ball and having them combo cover abstract tracts of land vs. eliminating a WR from quick passing game and taking advantage of their natural physical nature. Fuck. I get angry just thinking about that shit.
