Yeah. We started with trump publicly asking Russia for assistance against Hillary, the trump campaign meeting with Russians to get dirt on Hillary, the trump campaign providing Russian cutouts with internal polling data, the Russians running troll farms to motivate trump turnout and divide democrat turnout in 2016, Russians hacking the emails of various Dem actors, and trump’s advisor coordinating with wikileaks on the timing of release of hacked emails. The GOP was captured by trump partly due to their lack in critical thinking and adoption of both sides fallacies. We are ending with the US having been decimated over the last nearly 4 years. We’ve retreated from our global influence. None of our allies trust us. Authoritarians around the world are now our friends. We can’t stop kowtowing to Russia. Our economy is now decimated and we are still fumbling covid response. I know that you and Nunes want the real story to be the Steele Dossier and how unfair it was. It would probably help your cause if the Dossier had been released prior to the 2016 election. Whether we have been kowtowing to Russia because of piss tapes, trump financial ties, or both isn’t relevant anymore. We just need the clown out of power so we can start rebuilding our global reputation. So get with the program and stop being Lindsey’s fuckstick.23 points

Shut the fuck up dude. Get off your shine box, a 3rd party candidate isn't in it this election. If you want to waste your fucking vote on Mickey mouse or whoever the fuck it's up to you, but don't tell people they are stupid for voting against Trump in a Joe Biden candidacy. Joe Biden fucking sucks and is a shitty candidate, but he's not a fucking morally bankrupt piece of shit who lies every other word.18 points

Oh...and before I erase this bit of fun from this morning while walking the dog. Me: (Wave at a pickup) Her: Who was that? Me: The girl who works for Frank and Maureen. She was driving his old pickup Her: I thought he got a new one. Me: He did. She was driving the old one Her: Do you know her? Me: Yes. Her: How? Me: She works for Frank and Maureen. 15 minutes later, girl drives back by, in same fucking pickup. Her: Look. There goes Frank Me: (WHY didn't I just say YEP) That is the girl who works for him. Driving his old pickup. I waved at her earlier Her: But that pickup had an Army Vet tag. That was Frank. Me: That is Frank’s old pickup. The girl who works for him, who drove by earlier, that I waved at….she was driving Frank’s old truck. Her: I thought he got a new one. Me: He did. Her: OK.11 points

Seriously. The abject fucking stupidity of talking about Biden's "gaffes" or "soundbytes" by anyone who supports trump is fucking unbelievable. It's like a rich, white, trust fund baby who brags about sexual assault saying they've done more for the black man that Abraham Lincoln. Oh wait.10 points

We lived for decades off of the generation that struggled through the depression and WW2 and then sniffed our own fat and lazy assholes for the next 3 generations pretending that by just being born here we were great ones. Now we're even fatter and lazier because we haven't been through a real crisis in living memory. We all tell our foreign friends that Trump doesn't represent America, but deep down inside we know we're wrong and that Trump is just America personified.8 points

It's hard to say with all the potential transfers in and out, but Fields would drop that number by at least 1 and I can't remember if Barron also drops that or not. I hope we don't take that many as we just dont seem have that many good prospects left on our board, but seeing how small the 2020 class was, I'd guess we take at least 24. Unless the staff just doesn't think they can identify enough guys without senior film. I think you're right regarding how Herman refers to it, but traditionally the 3 WR spots are called X, Y, and Z, so I was using that terminology, not Herman specific. We've had so many scheme changes in the last 5 years, I have trouble remembering how our OCs and DCs refer to specific positions. Hell, our defense has called a pass-rushing outside LB like 50 different names in the last ten years. Buck, Rover, Joker, Jack, Jill, fuck lion. It's all the same. His hudl highlights had him driving a guy into the ground late, but he didn't have a lot of tape attacking from the start of the play. He was always a guy who had weak initial contact with the DL. In HS, he could still drive his man into the ground with that, but it was never going to work that way in college. Injuries were not the reason for that. Even when ful There's also quite a few of those guys who will get bumps. Cooks, Alexis, and Regis are guarntees to move up a good bit, and I'd bet if Lengyel commits to us or really any P5 program, he'll get a bump just for that. I'd break it down more by position: QB: Done RB: 1 (Wheaton/LJ) WR: 2-3 (Alexis, Jackson, maybe Henry or another speed guy) TE: Done OL: 2-3 (LT and one more interior OL, IMO) DL: 2 (Turner/Regis/Ike). Maaaybe 3 if Turner wants in late after nabbing Regis and Ike. LB: 1 (Cooks). Maaaybe 2 if we could flip Williams from AZ St. DB: 1 (probably safety, either Mukuba or his backup plan.) Maybe 2 if there's a CB or S really high on our board late. So that would put us at 25 on the low end and 28 ish on the high end. Maybe we drop below 25 if recruiting goes very poorly, but I doubt it. It's not going to be an incredible class from a quality per recruit perspective and will probably be our lowest since 2018, though 2019 might be worse once you factor in attrition. We've lost a ton of guys from that class. Still though, 2021 will be a quality class you can win a ton of games with if you're not a shit coaching staff (gulp), and it will have some absolute studs, like Sanders, Bowman, Milroe, maybe Turner and a RB, that could really elevate the class as a whole.8 points

This is complete horseshit. Complete. Riley was “available” in the sense that he was alive and coaching. He was as “available” as bellichik or Mack fucking Brown. The same year we hired Herman, Ryan Day has just finished being the QB coach for the SF 49ers. He hadn’t worked for Urban Meyer yet. His last college stint before that was as OC at Boston college. Before that, temple. That’s not a fucking resume that gets you hired at Texas. And search committees don’t go looking at random NFL QB coaches all too often. Not for Texas. It’s one thing for a football mind like Urban Meyer to network around coaching, call friends, and take chances on unknown-ish types like Herman or Day as OCs, when he can analyze their knowledge firsthand and act as a coaching backstop. It’s another for a fucking search committee to go pluck diamonds in the rough and place them at the largest football school in America as HC. You’re a good poster, but this is just some Satya framing bullshit. Westcott Ebberts thinks this take is a delusional hit piece.8 points

You don't think it's relevant to a Daily Texan post to discuss whether it was a deliberate bomb or a warehouse of ammonium nitrate? The president said it was a deliberate attack, the Department of Defense said it most likely was not based on what was immediately known. How is pointing this out CR? Sure, there is an implication that we all understand based on the president's past behavior, but what has been pointed out here are the facts of what high ranking officials, includiing the commander in chief, has said what about the possible cause of the explosion. That is 100% Daily Texan.8 points

You know, you can keep on being the guy screaming that the Enola Gay had a taillight out and the whole thing should have been called off. You can be the guy that says yeah, kids were getting raped and killed in the school bathroom, but the witnesses DID NOT HAVE VALID HALL PASSES therefore their testimony is shit. There are times when you might be legally right, but when vigilante dad shows up with the Greener full of buckshot, it won’t matter. The hill you are dying on is built for ants, and you should reconsider your sense of justice. Justice, not law. Law is dead.8 points

Daughter and friends take kayaks out. I tell her to just leave them on the back on the pickup because I needed to reseal them. Wife comes in yelling. Her: IT'S RAINING OUTSIDE! Me: Great..we need it. Her: YOU LEFT THE KAYAKS ON YOUR PICKUP! Me: Yep. Her: They are going to get wet. Me: Kind of like when we go kayaking? Yep. They will get wet. Her: But they are face up...not upside down. They are going to get the seats wet. Me: Yep. Trust me. They will be fine. Baboso brought up the point that when she fucked around and got sucked under a log and the kayak got swamped the seat might have gotten a little damp. My mind was just too bottled to think that fast during this interaction. I was going to put them back that day, but as a bit of defiance, they are still loaded on the pickup. It is driving her nuts but she has yet to say anything about it.7 points

Cars and people in streets don't mix. It's a fucking toxic situation. Ask Garrett Foster. Bet he'd like a do over when it comes to permits, people in the streets, traffic and all that became of it. If you have a permit, march. Vehicles will be prohibited. Barricades will be in place. If you don't have a permit, get one. Until then. streets are designed and designated for vehicular traffic. This thought today that people can simply set up shop in a roadway is maniacal, unbridled lunacy. Our city is not only neglecting to address these shitastic situations where people and cars come into contact, they're actually continuing to encourage this type of activity. Even after a person was shot and killed because of it. More proof positive that we are simply in the middle of some Bizarro world with no end in sight.7 points

This applies to a lot of programs so I didn't want to dump it in the UT 50% thread... I love how authorities all over the country are chasing house parties that have a few dozen people in a place and fining them...cutting off their power/water - but football teams are still pretending like there might by 20k fans in one stadium at some point in the next several weeks. This is no knock on UT, there's a ton of programs trying to grab some sweet cash or at least hold on to what they have longer. Sad.7 points

You're smiling? As far as I can tell, this is about the worst thing the Democrats could have possibly fucking done right now. It will be spun as an attack on your guns, it will galvanize a bunch of Rs who might have been willing to sit it out, and it's going to be framed as a direct attack on YOUR RIGHT TO BEAR ARMS AND OWN GUNS. Democrats can't stop shooting themselves in the dick.6 points

After Earle, he's my favorite Y WR of all our targets. Herman's shown that he can get the ball in the hands of the Y, regardless of what type of receiver plays there. The most important factor for that position is being able to gain yards after the catch and Alexis fits that mold. I also hope that Smith and Whittington can stay healthy. Both those guys could terrorize defenses from the slot if they can stay on the field. One of Yurcich's calling cards is formational versatility, which is obviously the polar opposite of Herman. We'll know right away how much say Yurcich has in this offense based on whether we go 11 99% of the time or actually mix things up to match our personnel. It'll be a really good sign if we start to see a lot more 10 and 20 personnel. Using the 20 with the ability to motion Whittington or Bijan to the slot opposite Smith would be fantastic. He literally said the 252.68 would be with 20 commits in the post you quoted. We're not taking only 20 commits this cycle, and he wasn't factoring in higher rated targets like Shemar or one of the RBs. If you add those two guys in to the four mentioned above, then we're at 270.23 with only 22 commits. There's also been at least one team with a score of under 270 3 of the last 4 years, so you're 270 benchmark isn't right either. Plus, this year is shaking out to be extremely top heavy, so I'd guess there will be one or two classes that are well under 270 that make it in the top 10.6 points

I haven't read the entire thread, so sorry if this has already been posted. The reddish brownish color in the cloud after the explosion (which you can see in some of the posted videos) means ammonium nitrate explosion. At high temps, the exothermic decomposition reaction of ammonium nitrate produces NO2, a brown gas at high temps, which turns into some other nitrogen oxide (can't remember which one) as it cools, so the red-brown color quickly fades.6 points

I still can't believe some dipshit tried to compare driving away from the stadium after a home game to marxists mobs surrounding vehicles who are trying to drive down a road. I just want to go down the road freely. I dont want to participate. Don't block my vehicle and then get mad when I try to move around you. Don't arm yourselves to shoot at me if I try to go around you. That is not protesting. That is 100% the definition of terrorism. Look up the fuckin definition, please. Actually fuck that - I'll do it for you. Also - if the purpose of blocking roadways and inciting violence or verbal intimidation is supposed to be the way to get people to notice whats being protested (as some other fuckin retard here suggested) that's not going to work out very well lol. If you have to surround my car and yell obscenities at me to get me to notice what you're protesting - you're 100% assuring I don't side with you.6 points
