Well, catching up was a beating. Anyways, about carl's plane. Here's the photo he posted earlier this week, passengers supposedly being BMDs. imgur.com/a/SAAbUzU After he posted about it, surly aviation experts (not me) did analysis and concluded it was a smaller jet model likely produced in the 80s or 90s. I believe it this model year 1991 Dassault Falcon 50, Tail No. N98DH. As you'll note, it was in Manhattan, KS yesterday, in Austin this morning, and is now headed to Bermuda Dunes airport - the same airport the plane I was discussing yesterday went last night from Vegas. As mentioned, Urban was reportedly in Vegas yesterday, and Bermuda Dunes airport is 8 miles from Phil Knight's house. Back to the plane itself, here are the photos that plane from a website where it was listed for sale - it appears to have been purchased by its current owner in 2015. https://imgur.com/a/BBcgbAZ Compare those photos versus the one carl posted. It's clear that the current owner refurbished/renovated the plane since purchase, but the bones are still the same. On the interior, notably the medium dark wood paneling throughout, the 4-place club seating arrangement in the front, the forward-cabin galley, the window shape and the gold-plated air vents. On the exterior, note the 6th-window exit and how that aligns with where the exit sign in carl's photo (top right-hand corner). If you're still with me, now to whose plane this is. The FAA records show it is TOSGO F50, LLC, FAA-listed address of 9108 Zyle Rd, Austin TX (which looks to be a residential address with a very large plot of land/house). And the same one listed as the registered address with the TX SOS, which shows registered agent at that address is Trey Owen. Trey is Co-Founder of Austin-based real estate private equity firm JLM Financial Partners. He's not a UT alumnus, but the Managing Director is. Couldn't find the alma mater of the firm's Chairman. So other than the MD, no direct connection between JLM and UT, though they're obviously in Austin (real estate nonetheless), looks like Trey has attended UT galas, etc. Another person that was listed as (might still be, unclear) registered agent for the entity is Billey Meyer of Waco, with registered address tied to Texas Aero, a general aviation facility servicing the Waco Regional Airport. Billy is famous drag racer who built the Texas Motorplex in Ennis. Don't know if there's anything to tie out to UT there, but thought it was interesting that he mentions on his company's website how the company did business with President Bush when he'd stop through Waco on the way to Prairie Chapel Ranch. So, Austin-owned plane that I believe is the one in carl's photo and is on its way to the same airport as the one last night speculated to be carrying UM.36 points

This kind of aggie trolling is as old as BBS forums. The recipe has been the same since I started posting and reading in 1997. Step 1: Sign up and drop in a somewhat random post in the middle of a discussion like you've been there the whole time. Step 2: Wait to see if anyone notices. Nope? Then start firing the fuck away. Step 3: Tell everyone how big of a UT fan you are, going back x-decades, while getting basic shit wrong in the process. Step 4: Start telling us what we want won't happen and start making idiotic negative comparisons to the shithole in BCS as though anyone will buy it. Step 5: Start telling us how bad Texas is, getting more and more overt in the process. Step 6: Banned. Also, there will certainly be a lack of actual wit or proper spelling and grammar in the posts. I'm always at a loss at how these rubes can simultaneously think that anything they're doing is productive or subversive or non-obvious, and also how fresh and new what they're doing is on the board.21 points

I am totally down the middle. Nobody is more rational and centrist than me. Also I voted for Trump and here's a video from OANN, noted news choice for centrists everywhere.19 points

Well, all that shows is that you’re an easily duped rube. You can’t see shit in that video. It’s a video for ants. It’s from OAN. I don’t see ballots, you assume it’s a suitcase full of ballots because they tell you ballots are in there. I don’t even trusts that’s from a GA voting location. Oh no a black table was set up in a room by someone shut down fucking democracy! It must be a multi-state conspiracy involving dozens of judges, a couple hundred state level officials and local politicians, and potentially thousands of volunteers and low level poll workers and no one can find or piece shit except a drunk blonde at a hearing and this video that shows nothing but some unopened luggage at what may or may not be video from a shitty hotel conference room! And let’s not forget OAN as a source of information is about on par with InfoWars. But you know, credibility of the source isn’t important because, oh fuck guys, there’s video of some people WALKING AROUND in a room somewhere. Your handle should be SherlockDowns.19 points

It is happening. I told you so,, weeks ago. It's been happening since 10/10, after #MensaTom completely fucked up the end-game twice in a row and lost to TCU and 0U back to back. Del Conte talked to Urban and got the high sign back then. The next step was waiting for #MensaTom to eliminate himself from the CCG, and that happened last week. There's nothing left to wait for except the lawyers to finish scribbling, and the announcements of coach fired, coach hired. Kick back, stir a big spoonful of mayo into your bulleit, set a platter of McRibs next to your speech-to-text mic and enjoy the ride.18 points

If you are watching anything on OAN, and not wondering how you are being lied to and manipulated, you are a complete fucking fool.18 points

I'm going to go with Urban has been told by the wife to really, really thing about it. Don't make a quick decision and he's really, really thinking about. And then she's going to tell him to go do it because she can't take anymore of his moping around the house every week talking about how all these other coaches suck.17 points

Per IT: I didn’t want to bury this on page 11 and it’s not worth its own thread:“We think they have two Scenario 3.5 guys to credibly pursue. Good coaches we’d be excited about. I talked to a connected guy today about the plan b’s. He said, “let’s see how the next couple days go before we worry about them.” - Eric15 points

I always have a panic attack after I get done with a call and I haven't looked at the thread for an hour because it's added 5-10 pages and I think I missed the announcement. Then I have to read all fucking posts because I'm a moderator so it takes me another hour to catch up lol.15 points

Of all the nonsense that has been posted in this thread, someone saying Franklin's brisket tastes off takes the fucking cake. I would suggest you stick to Arby's.15 points

I was there and happened to be sitting near the achos parents. Nobody in the Texas stands knew what the hell happened on that play. other top moments from that game: 1) some drunk dude yelling “show us your tits Lisa!” While Lisa salters was doing a sideline piece. 2) whole crowd chanting “RUUUUUUDY...RUUUUUUDY” at end of game after their douche qb talked crap all week. 3) hearing Texas fight getting louder and louder and then realizing the LHB was marching through sea world. Badass 4) Brandon foster having game of his life on defense. 5) me barfing on sidewalk while walking home to hotel but still throwing the horns up when team busses were driving by.15 points

Listen, neither of us belong in this thread but why would you post this? Maybe I have more empathy because I know the feeling of being a fan of a traditional powerhouse team down on its luck looking for what seems like the last savior but I don’t get the trolling. And, again, maybe my feelings aren’t that of fans of other teams because our coach is who is but I sincerely hope that Meyer does take the UT job. CFB is better when Texas is good. That 2009 championship game against UT is probably my second favorite behind the 1992 one against Miami (and that one is first because I was in school at the time and was actually at that game). I don’t know, maybe I’m not cool enough but I just don’t get getting pleasure from being a drop in troll on a topic people are clearly passionate (and anxious) about. I’ll go back to lurking now.13 points

I have to give Urban credit for multitasking. The guy is working for Fox and deciding his life and he still has time to talk to every single one of his old friends in Columbus, real estate agents, random Texans in the oil and gas industry, people who post of message boards, people who know people on message boards and apparently Bitcoin enthusiasts. I cannot wait for him to only have to tackle going up against KU.13 points

Yes, clearly different seats, along with a number of other changes. All renovations post-2015 purchase - you can swap out seats. As said, the bones are the same, including the seat configuration. Not to mention there aren't a ton of F 50s out there flying around (they were also discontinued over 10 years ago), particularly those registered to TX owners. In fact, there's a single F50 (of any year) registered to an Austin owner. This one.12 points

This reminds of something I mentioned waaaaaay up thread or on the Herman thread, but I heard it again yesterday - Mack Brown does not want Urban Meyer taking the job at Texas. He’s fired up his network on it accordingly and is doing whatever he can to shit on the job and make it sound miserable.12 points

Believe me, you don’t want to hear about the mysterious NFL figure. If that ever comes to bear, it’s going to be like injecting new corona into the bloodstream of this board. Do. Not. Want. We need to hear nothing through the game tomorrow. FOX will be telling. If we hear something today, it will be bad. If we hear anything from FOX people, it will be bad. If they’re awkwardly never talking to him much about Texas just before, during and after Texas plays, it will be good.12 points

If you want us to play every game and win you can't possibly want Herman to come back.12 points

Wow... the fact that cdc would even think of fisher makes me want him fired. I would never watch another Texas game. I would rather this program burn down and force myself to watch another 10 years of the Tom Herman shit show than to ever support or root for a Jeff fisher team.11 points

Sorry but long post incoming as I need to type this shit out to clear my mind. Let's just say I have been part of coaching searches before in a previous life. Let's walk through the real time line that has occurred. First we have to assume that CDC know what the fuck he is doing. I am willing to go with that for now. If that is the case then at some point during the year CDC realized that Herman sucks as a football coach and needed to go (not sure when he came to this conclusion but it happened). At this point any good AD is going to figure out who the best option is and reach out. He won't reach out directly to the coach but pick up the phone and call that coaches agent. In this scenario, CDC decided the obvious coach to go try and get is Urban so he picks up the phone and tells Urban's agent that he is going to be making a change and Urban is the number one choice if he is interested. The agent will then say let me check with my client to see if he is interested in coaching again. At this point if Urban isn't interested he tells his agent to tell CDC thanks but I am happy where I am at. End of story and on to Plan B. That apparently did not happen so we have to assume that Meyers agent came back and said, "my guy is interested". Now CDC either gives the agent the number that UT is looking to pay or says to the agent, "what is it going to take". The agent discusses numbers with Urban and comes back with what they want. We apparently agreed to the finances. CDC would then ask the agent what else Urban needs and that is where Urban, through his agent, tells us he needs total control of the football program, money for key assistants, new facilities, hookers and blow, whatever. It looks like CDC ran that by Hartzell/Regents and he let Urban's agent know we agree to that also. During all of this the only way this leaks is if CDC went to some BMD's to get the cash and they went out leaked the information. I am not sure that happened this time. Maybe it did but it doesn't seem like that happened. All parties are on the same page and then they agree to meet. This is where you have CDC, Hartzell, East TX regent fly to meet with Urban, his wife and his agent. I find it hard to believe all of this information is leaking if Urban hasn't already agreed to the deal. Maybe he had a last minute change of heart but at this point of the negotiations its a done deal. All that is left is the planning and timing of announcing firings and hiring's which is where we are at. Now if it didn't go down this way then CDC fucked it up and should be on the same train out of Austin as Herman but I really don't think he did.11 points
