Well, you didn't disappoint - you warned us right there at the beginning of your post.38 points

Look, I think not being heartbroken that Carrington is leaving after taking pictures with Bru McCoy's dad clowning on UT while still an employee is pretty normal.31 points

Let's be frank. You're being an idiot. And saying let's drop it and then coming back to be an idiot again isn't helping you. I look forward to your next post where you're an idiot and then say "let's drop it" at the end.24 points

Fuck all the noise. Kid is a lifelong Longhorn fan. He is from Texas. He lives in Texas. Texas now has a HC and QB coach that can develop him and put him in the NFL. There is a proven track record. We have Winfield, We have Blue. We are going to get Stewart, Thompson, and whoever else the fuck we want. If Ewers doesnt come to Texas with this staff, this class, and the way he fits in Sark's offense so much better, then he was never ever coming to Texas. It is the perfect situation for him. The staff knows it, Ohio Fuck off State knows it, Ewers parents know it. and yeah, Quinn knows it. Come home son. Texas forever.20 points

Not bad advice, but no worries here. I'm just an internet stranger lol. When I can I'll help put out information about when and where to get in on the bottom floor, or when catalysts look to take it to another level, and you take it from there. Everybody has different goals and strats. Also yall might find things before me and I can jump on yalls DD. I'm partial to blockchain, tech sector, and R/M plays, but there are plenty out there that can make you and me great money! I'm out on Weedstocks though got burned too many times. Whoever sent that message about the airpods shoot me a PM, I can't remove it from that setting but I put up another one if that helps. Can't thank yall enough for all the support by the way. Working at a non-profit requires a lot of sacrifices namely financial ones for doing something you truly believe in. For the past six years, my and two kids have scraped things together on one non-profit income while my wife stays home with the kids, often by the skin of our teeth and everything we have is used and handed down. The idea that we have the ability to maybe have true financial freedom is still hard to believe, much less people sending us gifts for just posting information. Anyways so here's Wonderwall...15 points

It's full of some absolute bullshit. I mean, it starts with Donovan Jackson. Let me reiterate HE WAS NEVER EVER EVAAAARRRRRRR coming to Texas if tOSU offered. Period. End of discussion. Eric and Gerry both know this. EVERYONE knows this. This is clickbait for the drooling masses. The Preston Stone stuff is all weird wishcasting nonsense with absolutely no basis in reality. Cody Jackson was never coming to Texas and they know better. They are also dancing around when certain kids had handlers/trainers that had a hand out, which I understand that they have to do from their business model - but at the same time, there's no reason to blame bad process or point to a failed relationship or recruiting error by the staff. Just say "Player X wasn't really a good match with this staff." if you don't want to talk about their "uncles". It also has some of their own weird bullshit like this GTFO with this shit. Sturdivant was a productive HS WR. He has decent size and limited athleticism and ended up at Cal. Do they really think that Texas made some kind of recruiting faux pas by not offering him? He's got a PR of 11.27 in the 100 - 4.67 40 - a 4.31 shuttle, his long jump is several feet short of Ike Iwhunnah who is a fucking 280 pound DT. There were plenty of disasters in this class to cover without having to go the route or wishcasting nonsense or drooling clickbait. the whole article could've covered just the OL recruiting and had plenty of rage-inducing substance because it was such a fucking clusterfuck.12 points

I really don't give a fuck about Carrington leaving, at all. This obsession our fanbase has with certain coaches because they stand out on a staff of mediocrity is unhealthy.12 points

I don't think you are doing what you think you're doing. It was a bad take, people have explained why, you keep arguing the point without anything new. Carrington was working for UT, paid by UT, not tweeting at recruits(which is his job), posturing with an enemy of the program (mccoy) in a different city while still being paid by UT. Appreciate what he did under Herman but he's not part of the program and not our concern any more12 points

Have been busy today and I guess I missed the IT update skimming through the last few pages of just pure, uncut inanity and trash from most posters bringing their F game today, but I'll comment on the Weigman/Klubnik/Ewers conundrum as I've heard it. Regarding the QB situation: Jimbo viewed the Klubnik recruitment akin to what we know as the Eric Winston experience. The family, including one very strong advocate, wanted ATM. Klubnik wasn't exactly drooling to go to ATM and it was going to be a slog. Ewers never showed interest in ATM and the east coast standout was a pipedream. Enter Weigman, who UT isn't very interested in, and lo and behold he's ready to commit. That speeds up shit on the UT side. Suddenly Klubnik, who I am personally not excited about but who cares?, has family buy-in on going to UT. So Texas can't wait multiple months batting eyes at Ewers. If Texas waits that long, they pass on Klubnik for good because he's not going to wait around or be plan C, and if they don't get Ewers, fuck us running. So Texas makes the play for taking the Samson kid if Ewers will flip. He's a good WR and will run a sub 11 100 meter this spring, but he'd be the 5th guy and only if they land Ewers. He would not be a PWO. It's a binary trade. Get Ewers, take his buddy and maybe he pans out. Don't get Ewers, the buddy gets to go to SMU or Colorado. So, that's the first big recruiting test for Sarkisian and it should be interesting to watch. Ol'Jimbo inadvertently pushing timelines up is somewhat humorous to me, for whatever reason. I guess I just dig chaos.11 points

Yes. I was alive for all of those although a child for Kennedy. A vast plurality of Americans had not advocated the actions you describe in advance. A vast plurality did not condone those actions afterwards. No member of Congress had advocated shooting JFK in the head. None of those actions pointed to the death of the republic. See the difference?11 points

If your party and beliefs attract and amplify people like MTG, most rational people would do some soul searching on their party and beliefs. Especially coming from the so called party of principle. I somewhat understand republicans that held their nose in 2016 and votes for trump, he was still an unknown quantity and when it comes to the presidency it’s more of a vote for your party platform, not necessarily the person (incumbents excluded). He was a known piece of shit in 2020, but the R party rode him because he was willing to sell power for abortion judges and shit on brown people. They stopped caring about ethics, fiscal responsibility, big government, and tyranny. Rs literally chose to sell their party to a lunatic. Props to them for not even pretending by not having a sham party platform in the run up to 2020. MTG on the other hand, is an absolute shit freshman in a house that Rs are in the minority. Her losing her spot on committees does no damage to the R party or the R platform in the house. Rs can place literally anyone else in their caucus to those seats and no one will blink. Her being expelled from the house entirely does no damage to the R party or their platform in the house. Her bumpkin district will elect another R to replace her, no question. Even if that wasn’t the case, you went from a minority position to a minority position. Even when served an absolute layup for doing the right thing, they chose to keep riding Trump’s dick. The party’s problem isn’t their choice of candidates, it’s the candidates they are choosing. Boberts and MTGs are replacing “normal” republicans. It’s happening because instead of reclaiming the party, principled republicans like you keep choosing the easy path instead of the right one. And that’s why I’m a former Republican. In summary, Rs: the answer is yes.10 points

Just saw how much stuff yall bought, yall are nuts! I've never got gifts like that in my life. Wifey is adding some stuff now. I've got gifts to give all freaking year. Also thanks to people still giving cash through Venmo. If you remember I bargained with my wife to used the whole first stimulus to stonk by promising a renovation. We're coming up on a $30k full reside of the house and I've been using this money to pay down the balance. I may have hundreds of thousands in the unrealized gains, but under $10k If XMET goes ham, then I'm gonna cut yall off. Until the private island Lagavulin open bar party. BYOBoP (bring your own boat or plane) Also I'm getting the F of Venmo as soon as Humblpay is available in the US9 points

I'm not looking forward to having grind out new positions soon. This has been so fun. Raise your hand if you're up $100k on today That being said I probably will once I get my ducks in a row on the Roth deal. Starting over from $12k seems like a decent test if I'm lucky or good9 points

It's worse than that. His party is running all sorts of shit up the flagpole looking for the old magic. He doesn't foolishly believe something. He thoughtfully has embraced his party and whatever he imagines it stands for at its core. In sticking with insurrectionists because that's his only choice at the moment in order to support pipelines or free business to save us or stop the ebil socialists or whatever mask they're selling, flattie makes his choice about party over country very clear. Insurrection. Bad for the country. Worse, it's bad for the image of the party. Strategy: 1. We can say it's not really us. Only a few nutjobs. Uh, what, the polls show millions of us support it? 2. AOC is a lying nutjob who is at least as crazy as the radical element of our party who advocate headshots and revolution. Same difference. What? Nobody outside of our reality bubble is buying? 3. The dems are radical socialists who hate freedom and, no matter how bad we tried to overthrow goververnment, they're worse than us!!!!! That usually works! Nowhere is there a statement about what is good for the country beyond the lies about caring about the economy and spending. Oh, and loving the flag. Love that flag. You love the flag? I'm not so sure about you. Is insurrection aroused by a seditious president who doesn't care a thing about the USA bad enough for flattie to rethink his party loyalty? No. He's just here trying the old tricks and hoping they work. Hate the Dems! Keep hate alive! It gets us votes and rots the fabric of our society. It's worked. I despise pieces of shit that operate as described above. They're killing my country.8 points

We might be putting way too much pressure on Ranger. Choose your own entry and exit strategy because even he makes decisions he regrets. Also, he’s playing with soooo much house money at this point that his risk tolerance is likely really high. Obviously, this advice doesn’t apply to the YOLO crowd but everyone else needs to find their comfort zone, make a plan, and stick with it.8 points

The only reason we know Carrington's name is because of the ineptitude surrounding him. He is very good at his job and stepped in admirably when Herman's staff failed, but a properly run organization does not need someone to play the role Carrington did over the past few years.8 points
