  1. Had a buddy at a practice recently. Nothing earth shattering here, so take it for what it's worth. He didn't recall any first team drop. There may have been some, but none that came to mind. 1's on 1's - Defense was beaten for the most part, but looks to have had some pressure on Quinn at times. It's always hard to tell if the play would have been disrupted. Quinn threw it anyway. Made a few throws that drew applause. He looks smaller but more fit. 2s on 2s were back and forth pretty even. 3s were kinda all over. Malik and Arch both with good throws, but not as consistent. Both drops and some misses. When AD catches the ball, fairy dust and rose petals poof into the air. There's no sound. By contrast, Cain caught everything, but with the occasional audible thud. X is really, really fast underneath. He's still slight, but looks a bit bigger. Whittington caught a ton of balls. Brooks looked good. Baxter turned a corner so fast, everyone assumed it was Brooks. It was not. Baxter is big and fast. Neyor with Mitchell is going to be a problem. Could be BS, but Neyor's post surgery vert is over 40 inches. Murphy is a brick wall. Has pop, and just is solid. Mitchell is huge. Sweat looks athletic. Like, definitely beating CTJ athletic. Kickers were booting it - far and accurate with no pressure. Catalon was running with the 3s, which is consistent with what the 9.95s have said. That's all I can remember from him offhand.

  2. Fuck every single one of you dipshits insisting on discussing the intricacies of NIL on the fucking 2024 thread when there is a good NIL thread for that boring shit elsewhere. All negged on this page. Hopefully others will follow suit.

  3. I don’t even know how I would feel. I’m fatigued from wrong-guy-itis like everyone else. Why can’t this guy just figure it out this year and stay for awhile?

  4. Send his dead ass to NOLA and do a citywide second line with his corpse dragging behind a line of Clydesdales with IBS. Instead of beads, residents throw their own shit and piss balloons at the corpse of the cunt. At the end, toss him in the dankest, dirtiest roadside canal and let the nutria and gators have at em. Show wraps up with a JazzFest style celebration, with free beignets, hurricanes, and blunts.

  5. Let me be perfectly fucking clear about one thing here: I am absolutely extremely fucking lazy. I won't even proof read most of my posts here, and that is a direct reflection upon me. I've read Ian Boyd enough over the years that I am ashamed at the time I've spent on it; and even if that was 2 or 3 whole minutes of my life, that shame is still fucking real, good sir. So I have zero problems declaring that if it's Ian Boyd content, it's suspect at best and Randolph Duke at worst. But if you're telling me that even Ian Boyd gets that Jake Majors isn't really the problem at C, and that even he gets it but BO&W doesn't, well...I'm happy to pivot the direction of my shitposting. BTW, Campbell will still be inexperienced if he starts this year, so expect more assignment mishaps.

  6. Oh no. If he has irrefutable proof of voter fraud that cost him the last election, he should definitely hold a press conference and show it to us. It would be irresponsible not to. I, for one, am really looking forward to it.

  8. I hate posting aggregate content, but it appears Vogel is reporting Bussey is trying to get back to Austin for another UOV prior to September 28th. Also will be in Tuscaloosa on his Bama official for the Texas game. Should leave a good impression when we walk out of there with a W. https://hookemheadlines.com/2023/08/17/texas-football-5-star-ath-terry-bussey-planning-visit-commitment/

  11. Tow truck drivers are human vultures. One of the proudest moments of my life was when I convinced a west campus tow truck driver to drop my car and follow me to the atm so I could get some cash to bribe him for not towing me. Gave him the slip at a red light. Felt like freedom won the day.

  27. Sure there is. It'll be 4 years later and most people haven't seen him losing his mind on Truth social every day. If it weren't for the criminal prosecutions that will be ongoing to remind everyone, a decent chunk of the electorate would absolutely forget why they thought Trump was so awful in 2020 by the time November 2024 comes around. I know I'm a broken record on this, but only like four of y'all actually seem to get it. The American electorate has the memory of a mayfly. After losing in Iraq, the mess that was the government's response to Katrina, and causing the worst recession since the Great Depression, the GOP had record gains in Congress and in statehouses all over the country in 2010, just two years after Obama's election. Even after a horrible failure of a governmental response to the pandemic, Trump came much closer than anyone wants to acknowledge to winning reelection in 2020. Everyone was horrified by 1/6, but within a year so many had forgotten about it that the GOP was treating those who stormed the Capitol as heroic patriots and took back the House in 2022. I can go on with examples all day. Despite everything the GOP has done, there's still tens of millions of undecided voters who view the GOP as essentially a normal political party. People can adjust to accept a whole lot of outrageous shit as normal and the voters we need to win are generally not very smart people. They basically vote on vibes influenced by all sorts of ridiculous shit. Do I think Trump is likely to win the general next year? No. Luckily some prosecutors finally got their shit together and there will be criminal prosecutions ongoing during his campaign, reminding voters of a small portion of the worst shit he did and giving him plenty of new chances to publicly embarrass himself. His constant whining will absolutely hurt him politically (and probably legally too). And the Dobbs backlash is the one exception to the "everyone forgets shit immediately" law of politics. If Biden and the Dems can stop being so timid on abortion and actually seize on that, they should do pretty well in the general next year. But Trump probably has better odds of winning in 2024 right now than anyone was giving him in the days before the 2016 election, and we know what happened then. Anyone who thinks that Trump or the GOP is definitely done for is living in a fantasy world and refuses to learn anything from real experiences.
