  1. People asking what they can do to keep this going, protests are awesome do them. But the playbook is pretty simple… 1. Stay informed - BUT only enough to be informed. Do not let news consumption drain your resources because consuming news does nothing in and of itself. 2. Strengthen your community - building and strengthening relationships among friends is critical to a movement. Go out, have a good time, learn about one another, give to one another, and add more to your community. This becomes critical when it’s go time - see below. 3. Go to local candidate fundraisers and give money (if you can) - online giving is better than nothing but go to the in person ones and make new friends, these are critical for building community and also funding the operation. The opposition passes the fucking plate on Sunday essentially to raise money it’s in their DNA. We have to understand we will win the war when every dog catcher in America is a people (and dogs) first elected official. Dems are terrible at down ballot. We have to do better. You don’t have kids or don’t have kids in school anymore? It doesn’t matter. That local school board election might be the single most important election in your community and galvanizing around candidates in your community only races benefits the state wide and national races. 4. Take breaks, find and appreciate beauty in your life - gratitude and beauty are things we must have to recharge. Find them, cultivate them. From here with a strong community you are ready for game time. 5. Fight back by voting - this seems like the duh part BUT do you know many of your friends might not vote for this or that reason? Remember the build community part? Now it’s time to call on your community and HOLD THEM ACCOUNTABLE. 35-40% of those that vote will never change from the republicans for whatever reason. These elections will always be won on turnout. Text or call everyone you know encouraging them to vote and asking if they have a plan. Ask them to call and tell their friends. And know it is because you cultivated and strengthened your community that you have the right and authority to hold them accountable. When a strong community holds itself accountable the people will be heard. The END GAME when it comes to building community is to ensure our voices are heard at the ballot box. Keep the end game in mind. we just did this to take back the LTISD school board from MAGA assholes. We did it by brining new people into our community and then saying hey let’s vote and get this done. I texted and texted my relationships not some campaign text banking shift but texting those I know and for the first time felt like I was actually effective in moving the needle (and I’ve done plenty of phone banking). Organic, community led accountability is what will truly lead to saving this country.

  2. It’s been mentioned before, but you know how you know DJT is a complete shitbird? He’s literally the first president who hasn’t had a dog. Past presidents may not have been dog lovers, but to just say β€œfuck dogs” makes you evil. Dogs are way better than us. Fuck him.

  3. Not going to have the balls to show back up, are you? Tell us about page 2 and 3. Just a reminder to everyone that this is GRUHorn, and he’s only been crowdsourced about 30 times so far… You think the evangelical Trump voter is a left wing assassin and you’re accusing others of being an idiot, do I have that correctly?

  5. Yesterday at the Capitol was the first major protest that I have attended. I walked in a couple of small marches here in Navasota, but nothing big. I was impressed by how many old foggies like me I saw there, how many vets I saw, and how many American flags there were. Everyone was peaceful but determined and involved. And I loved the range of signs. "I'd call him a cunt, but he lacks warmth and depth" "I'm a fat bitch and I'm here to sit on some fascists" "Chinga tu MAGA" "Chinga tu Muro" "No person is illegal" It was inspiring. Now I have to get more involved back here at home.

  6. I am happy as hell that trump's party turned into a bust, but I am unhappy that it came at the expense of the Army. This should have been a celebration for a fighting force that has done so much for our country. Yes, there's good and bad in the history of its use, but the Army has protected us from the likes of Jeff Davis, Tojo, and Hitler. It should have been able to celebrate without the celebration being highjacked by the orange clown. Happy Birthday, Army!

  7. i literally cannot picture him just sitting down and listening to music. it wouldn’t surprise me if he doesn’t own or stream any music. i don’t see him as someone who takes pleasure in normal things like music or family pets. if it doesn’t make him rich or powerful, it doesn’t move him. which also reminds me of penn teller recounting how trump never laughs. they filmed an entire season of celebrity apprentice together, and teller said that trump never laughed, at least not in the way that normal people do. he said he might smirk or chuckle a little at someone else’s misfortune, but that he never told jokes, spoke with any levity, or just straight up laughed along with anyone else. i mean how easy is it to picture obama, biden, bush, clinton, etc smiling and laughing? they did it all of the time. you never see trump genuinely smiling or laughing in the name of levity; only when he gains something, is flattered, or is doing something cruel. the guy is barely human. just an orange, gelatinous, shit stained, lizard brained tyrant, and him being a two-time president of the United States makes this the most dystopian timeline. just unreal.

  9. Good. What people need to realize is that we don’t win by Trump getting better. We with him getting worse. By him doing more and more indefensible, vile shit. Which he will, it’s his nature. More vile shit, and more vile shit, until his defenders lose critical mass. Then…we overwhelm them and defeat them. That’s the plan. Don’t know if it will work. But it’s the only way.

  10. This was a real shot in the arm today and just what we all needed to get through the next few weeks of bullshit. Look to get involved elsewhere too. It really helps keep the anxiety at bay. Even the voicemails I leave Cornyn's office make me feel better afterward. We had our dozen dipshits. Overall I give everyone an A for dealing with them, like the group of 30-something women all making the sign with the thumb and index finger held an inch apart. The best was the young lady totally decked out in the colors of The Left: black, gray, and dark olive, holding a beautiful illustration of Hitler shooting himself with the phrase "FOLLOW THE LEADER". She just walks coolly past them with the sign held up like a ring girl, and ho lee fuk did it set one of those assholes off. He followed her jawing and she just blew him off. It was great. Only one of the dumbasses brought a sign, written in ball point pen on a folded grocery bag smaller than a regulation 8.5 x 11. Seriously. I walked over kind of close and gave an exaggerated squint. I don't think he caught on. I am delighted there were so many protests out in the burbs and small towns. That is how we bring attention of this idiocy to people's doorstep. We need the cities to turn out, but kudos to all organizers of the smaller events. Five out of five stars, would do again

  12. Photos of the protests from the atlantic… https://www.theatlantic.com/photography/archive/2025/06/photos-no-kings-protests-america-trump/683195/ Here are only a few of the pics… Without a subscription you can’t see all of the photos - I grabbed the link outside of my Apple News script so I could let folks go see the article. There are pictures like this from everywhere.

  17. I’ve only been alive for 50 years, but I struggle to think of anything good organized religion has done in my lifetime. Yet I can vividly remember children being blown to bits and hospitals hit by missiles (fucking yesterday btw). It’s all a bunch of bullshit designed to control people. It always has been and always will be.
