Yeah, my Canadian model girlfriend probably wonβt be able to visit now either. Because of the politics. So thatβs why yβall have never met her.23 points

This all hits close to home, as I took my 7 year old to Disney this summer for the first time. One of my striking memories wasn't something healthy and awesome with my family. It was us high tailing it out of the park at 9:45 or so at night, ahead of the fireworks. We're tired, and we don't give a shit about fireworks, but obviously, everyone else cares and everyone is all squeezing together on main street and every thoroughfare to get the best view, while we're walking the opposite direction on the sidewalks trying to beat any crowds. I saw not, one, not two, but THREE different people staring towards the castle tears streaming down their faces unabashedly, to watch a fucking FIREWORKS display. A fireworks display that happens every single night. Just weeping, like they saw Jesus rise from the grave, or the Apollo 13 astronauts crawl out of the splash capsule. Disney Adults are fucking emotionally warped individuals. And don't let CTJ fool you, he's a member of Club 33. If you don't know what that is, google it.17 points

I think Iβd rather cut open my ballsack with a bread knife and then sit in a bucket of glass and bleach before going to Disney anything. I understand there are Disney cruises as well, which legitimately sounds like a torturous / Guantanamo Bay detainee level experience. granted my idea of the perfect vacation is 4 days backpacking alone and looking at this:16 points

Spoilered below is a write-up about the freshmen performing thus far in camp from Bobby and Gerry. It really is starting to sound like Littleton could be big time. This is class gets really deep if one of the last and lowest ranked takes becomes a true freshman starter.13 points

We can officially check the Tour du Mont Blanc off our bucket list! To be fair... it was never actually on our bucket list β a friend suggested this trip Days hiked with a backpack before this trip: 0 Multi-day hikes before this trip: 0 Total miles covered over the 10 days: 96+ Total elevation gained over the 10 days: 28,000+ feet There were incredible days spent hiking with our friends and meeting amazing people along the way. There was a day that truly tested us β we questioned our decision to hike the TMB, struggled to finish... but we finished. There was a rough weather day, where our hard work hiking through rain, sleet, and wind over the Grand Col Ferret wasnβt rewarded with the epic views of the Italy/Switzerland border. I guess thatβs hiking. But then there was the day we hiked to the Col de la Balme on the Switzerland/France border β and were rewarded with breathtaking views of Mont Blanc and the surrounding mountains. That view... thatβs why people hike! What the Democratic Party needs to do is emphasize how absurd a billion dollars is. I think most people just group all "rich" together and have no reference point to the disparity in levels of wealth between their boss's boss at work and a true, legit billionaire. For example: If a baby was born the morning of the Seinfeld series finale and was given $100,000 (more money than the majority of Americans will ever see in a year and almost double the average annual salary in America) EVERY.SINGLE.DAY of his life and never spent a penny, he still would not be a billionaire. These are the people that the Republicans are protecting and giving tax cuts to. Once you put it in normal people terms, then you might start converting folks.12 points

Oh thank God. I regret the part I've played in this Glen Powel tangent. Agreed about Shaw. That dude has a very Alfred Collins-esque career where the talent and physical attributes were obviously there, but he never really did anything with them. If Baker is unlocking that potential then we are in great shape at DT in light of how the other transfers + January are doing. Fucking Arkansas. Can their medical staff have really missed that dude needed surgery? That seems shockingly incompetent, even for the pigs. One thing Bobby mentioned last night that I didn't see in his practice report - Arch is staying late with a group to run the offense even after the coaches leave. That has real "If you want to beat Ohio State, meet me here every night at 7 p.m." energy. I know we've heard a lot about Arch during camp, but it doesn't seem like he's been the focus. Even when IT/OTF are talking about the QBs, they're mostly talking about the battle for QB2. I assume no news is good news, and I love hearing about Arch's leadership. Ewers was great, but he never struck me as a "lead from the front" kind of QB. I think Texas is better when the guy under center shows people the way.12 points

The "immigration policy" of black bagging people and denying them their habeas corpus and due process rights and shipping them off to some foreign prison to be beaten and starved is just the "natural pendulum swing" of a flawed political system. Inevitable really. Jesus fucking Christ. I hate the Nazi comparisons because they're played out and lazy...but damn if some of you all would have made for some excellent 1930s German citizens. "Oh, they're only taking the bad ones. Trust them."11 points

Per my sources in corroboration with @EliteMarino sources and also @FinsOrDie sources, there are many within the Dolphins organization that believe the Tua/Ewers situation could be eerily similar to the Purdy/Jimmy G situation from years back. The comparisons are obvious with Ewers being a 7th round pick like Purdy and Tua being an often-injured average NFL talent like Jimmy G. Also the similar offenses that are more play-caller driven than carried by the actual QB Apparently a lot of people are taking notice of Quinn Ewers very strong camp10 points

Did not see this story posted in DT. Horrific doesn't even begin to describe this story. I don't even really know what to say beyond I'm absolutely floored at the depths of evil in some people. These aren't humans, they are real world monsters. New York Times Link10 points

Wednesday Great news on Shaw and Spence's roles post recovery. Additionally, it appears that people in Arkansas might be as dumb as we thought. Also, apparently Shipley is impressing. Despite Bobby's nonchalant mention of it, it's certainly gruntling. No practice today - it resumes Thursday.10 points

It's all intangibles. And more than a chip on the shoulder. Coach Elko in slenderizing black contemplates the intangibles of his team. Poor Olin, having to make chicken salad out of chicken shit. It ain't easy man. Look at this shit. Look at you! Out of jail! Great to see you! Same! You're recovering from your drunken car wreck very nicely. Begins to sound more like adhesion than cohesion. Take my hand, little one. Let me show you the ways of men. The Ivy-Leaguer minored in coach speak, but needs to work on his certainty: Let us know when you make up your mind about what it's kind of been, coach. Otherwise, fresh takes all around. Something special brewing in the new Lit College Station. Again with the mushy uncertainty, coach. And "standard" is singular. The message you think you've kinda been stressing is that English are hard for you. I'm a college man, Coach Elko. Not Ivy League or a student of particular note at the state university I attended, but maybe try this: We talk about that standard in every team meeting. Not it's the things. You're welcome. Poignant elegant language alert! Imagine the impact on an amateur athlete in 1963 2025. Timeless. Here goes: Chills. And it's only the first paragraph. First, I worded it and I said are the same thing and redundant (please tell me you get the joke). Teenagers. You're teenagers! It's scary! There's more! Who wouldn't run through a wall or some motherfucker's motherfucking face for that? Lastly, Olin, come on now 2024 Trey Zuhn the Third Teamer9 points

This guy has zero opportunity cost associated with him. Heβs not costing Texas some other option, heβs been mentally and emotionally evaluated and theyβre fine with him, and the NIL isnβt bankrupting the program. Itβs bizarre watching people worry over this one.9 points
