Holy shit, Sark was just asked "Why is Arch's shoulder hurting?" He responded "According to who?" "Um, well he looks like he's hurting in pictures." "Well I don't photograph you guys when you're using the bathroom and ask why you're making those faces."20 points

Huh? Ohio State gained 203 yards and scored 14 points. San Jose State gained 273 yards and scored 7 points. Exactly how much stingier does this defense need to be?20 points

The guy who was integral in bringing Saving Private Ryan, Band of Brothers, The Pacific, Greyhound, and Masters of the Air to the screen is too woke for West Point. Fuck. Move over, Brisket. I'm coming on the ledge. It. Is. Over.19 points

This could be posted on other threads but it's succinct here. This is Trump's America. A big fuck you to everyone, including the dipshits who voted for him.17 points

To get this thread back on track, we did it. My wife and daughter are safely in our new home in New York, while I close up shop here in Texas. My daughter Facetimed me really excited. She said she was at practice talking to her coach. Her coach was complaining about the drop in temperature and my daughter said, "You could always move to Texas". To which he coach responded, "Oh no. We like our women up here, thanks!". My daughter was beyond delighted. So she is finishing up her senior year of high school and then it's off to play college vball. Her high school is super excited that they got a D1 volleyball player dropped in their laps, and she is happy to be surrounded by liberal-minded people. It sucks to be down here alone. The wife and I have been having Facetime movie dates. For their sakes the move had to be made.17 points

Everyone here(Texas) thinks we are crazy for picking up and moving. I just couldn't keep staring my wife and daughter in the face day after day and telling them it will be ok. Meanwhile the state of Texas is showing it's ass week after week. I had to do something.15 points

Is this meant to be impressive? Good lord. I was probably clocked at faster than that this morning going through a HIIT workout with some ex-military friends.14 points

My kid went to the doctor in Fort Collins for the first time last week. When the nurse asked where she was from and she replied Texas, the nurse said "don't worry we love you here and will take of you."14 points

Yeah, well if there is even a one percent chance that he is going to wind up with a young Handmaid, he’s not gonna risk that by voting for no damn Democrat! ”You picked a fine time to fuck me, Trump Deal. With four hungry children and a crop in the field. I’ve had some bad times, the bailouts were real fine, but this time DOGE fucked me for real. you picked a fine time to fuck me Trump deal.”12 points

Highlights: -The OL with new roles and new starters, limited in experience, isn't gelling yet. PFF says that several of them are fucking terrible. This will not get fixed or improve. -Fire Flood. -Texas lacks explosive players on offense and will have trouble scoring all year. -Arch Manning throws too many deep balls. -Arch Manning is completing 50% of his deep balls. -The game has caught up and passed the Steve Sarkisian offense by, like it was standing still. -This is not a championship caliber team because of the QB. -This is not a championship caliber team because of the lack of explosive players on offense. -This is not a championship caliber team because of the offensive line and Flood. -This defense isn't stingy enough and apparently gives up too many points. -The TEs are terrible blockers. -Nick Townsend is an awesome blocker.12 points

That’s just a dated way to look at things. Outside of PSU and Clemson, anyone worth reviewing as a title contender had to replace numerous players on one or both sides of the ball. Ohio State? 15 starters. Georgia? 17 starters. The list goes on. LSU? 4 of 5 starting OL, the TE, multiple guys on the front 4, etc. The portal and NIL have made parity greater and mobility an issue for roster stacking. This is also why I’m not despondent and declaring the season over. You fucking people should watch other teams play every now and then. Damned near all of the powers and pretenders struggled with weak programs. Texas didn’t look great, but they didn’t look nearly as ugly as some other big names.10 points

Never played football. I feel that speaks for itself, and I am highly qualified to solve this once and for all. I brought up some Youtube clips of Arch last year and played them at 0.5 speed, for absolute science purposes. His angle of release this year, using my Westcott-Manual clear protractor overlaid on the screen, is 42.3° Last year it was 44.8° My Surly Diagnosis® -- Arch has a torn rotator cuff, and possibly lupus. He'll be lucky to live to see Halloween.10 points

I couldn't give less than a fuck. It's the truth - this seemingly universal acceptance of believing what we want to believe is what got us here in the first place. We need to start calling out lies more vociferously or we won't have the ability to do it at all any more. ffs10 points

I heard yesterday that his approval rating is at 43%. That is just fucking incredible to me. Like if you were in a large room with 100 random people, almost half would tell you that they like what's happening right now in this country.10 points

Man this is so fucking perfect for these threads. "I don't actually watch Texas play football on Saturdays, but I'd like to insert myself into the quarterback discussion. What should I be upset about?"10 points

I don't get his issue. He says that Trump advertised that he was getting criminal illegal immigrants. His wife is a criminal immigrant and theft/fraud is indeed classified as a crime of moral turpitude which can revoke an immigrant's legal status. So his wife is a criminal illegal immigrant. See ya.10 points

Why the fuck would anyone want to post content in a thread this negative? If you’re going to own setting the weekly tone with the game threads, you have a longer way to go than Texas’ offense in terms of improvement. 2025 Game week 3: Oh no, mommy, the bad men have made mistakes on the field and they’re hurting my feelings!10 points

People have abandoned using reason and critical thinking when trying to diagnose something that feels off. Play out the facts and scenarios, and try to avoid conspiratorial thoughts. For the love of God. Sark doesn’t have a bad poker face, he’s just pissed about having to respond to ridiculous questions that have allegations behind them.9 points

…and Jimmy Stewart flew 20 combat missions in a B-24, including missions over Berlin and Nuremberg (that was flying into Flack Alley). He enlisted as a private and ended the war as a Colonel. He was awarded two Distinguished Flying Crosses with Oakleaf clusters, the Air Medal, and a Croix de Guerre. He was a freaking Brigadier General in the Air Force reserve. John Wayne took the movie roles of better actors who were serving in the war.9 points

For me the entire issue starts with a singular aspect, pre-season polls. All polls done thereafter are influenced by it win or loss. #1 close loss on the road to #2 top 10. #8 road loss to unranked, move #8 down to top 20 and unranked into top 20, push out a lower ranked top 25 to make was for FSU. Both the preseason and polls post wins/losses also have massive bias based on brand recognition. The only cure, which wouldn’t remove brand bias, is not releasing any polls until the 6 week of the season. Play shitty teams up front, polls reflected, loose to shitty teams, polls reflected, beat good teams, polls reflected. I don't think it will ever happen but.. it would fix a lot of the issues.8 points

Would be nice to see: - A clean game with far fewer penalties - Arch consistently hitting his crossing routes and not firing the ball into the ground with poor mechanics - A 3rd-down conversion rate that isn't horrific I consider these realistic asks for a team with CFP aspirations, but I'm sure the usual suspects will show up next week to castigate everyone for having unreasonable expectations, demanding too much from Arch and Sark, etc. etc. when these asks aren't met. As is tradition.8 points

Agreed but we are still so much better than late-era Mack or any version of Herman ball. Ohio State is really fucking good. No one was questioning our physicality week 1. It isn't an accident that on paper we outplayed them but wound up on the wrong side of the scoreboard. There was a ton of slop and concerns to be raised from the SJSU game. What I don't understand is people still putting Arch at the top of the list of concerns. The kid is an absolute fucking baller and he's only going to get better. At this level you can live with accuracy and completion % issues when the guy under center consistently puts the ball in the EZ, doesn't take sacks and runs the ball like Josh Allen. Everything else will come along. Worst case this is a "down" year and we have to reload and tinker with some shit (maybe make some staff changes) before taking another crack at it next season. Anyone that can't enjoy Texas being perennialy relevant on a national level is a sad sack of shit. We all had to sit through a decade+ of Texas being a routine laughingstock. I'm all for high expectations but everything is still in front of this team and they get 2 more tune-ups before their first test in conference. If I'm Florida I am not looking forward to Oct 4th.8 points
