  1. I lived through: 10-9 46-3 Too many OU blowouts to count 66-3 66-15 60-40 55-17 And all the rest of them. I survived. This year was lost. TBH, I though we were going to win in overtime. Would that mean we are any good? Hell, no. We suck. But we tied it up.

    8-1

It is, but damn if I don't feel like this team is 5-4 or some shit. Nine games in and I still I have no idea if we are going to win a game or not. I figured that K-State would be close and possibly a loss because... well, look at the past decade. Still, I don't have our team figured out at all. They are good but don't put people away?
  3. Penix has been sacked 15 total times in 27 career games at Washington and his OL just won the damn Joe Moore award. The thought that we were going to win this game with sacks and pressure was delusional. We were going to have to hold up in the backend to have any sort of chance on defense. We failed and then got ball controlled most of the second half.
  4. We not only lost the line of scrimmage battle we were out coached. You do that and you are going to lose most games. Unlike the LSU game where I felt like we had a chance to win all the way to the end, after about 5 minutes in to the OU game I really didn't think we were going to win that game. It was a hard game to watch.
  5. No one has seen the revelation of what is about to transpire here. We are going to win these next couple of games without Quinn, Quinn is going to come back to the team like Gandalf (Quinn the White) except with a white mullet instead of a beard and lead us to a glorious rematch against Sauron (Saban). Mark my words. This isn’t over, yet. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Ryan Tepera gets to sit and home for the next 5 months and wonder if he single-handedly lost this series for his team. He’ll convince himself that we were going to win no matter what, but deep down he’ll always play what-if. His teammates will tell him it’s no big deal but in the back of his mind he’ll always be concerned about what they are saying behind his back. Lol.

    Tell Me About Texas a&m

Where are our wins? Where? Why did you flush those wins down the toilet? I was counting on them! We left the Big XII for this! I knew that we'd lose to them! They would have beaten us! They were all over us! We will always lose! Karen, we were going to win the SEC!!! Why did you do that? No we're nothing like we've always been...
  8. "A lot of people ask me what I'm going to do after I graduate the best college in the land and join the ranks of the Association of Former Students? But honestly, right now...I'm just living for the day. Would I be happier if we were going to win the SEC? Probably. But would I be this happy if I wasn't one of Taylor Swift's backup dancers, completely unbeknown to her? Doubt it. Whoop!"
  9. At this point I’m not sure why we even play a striker since we do nothing to provide service to them. Play Reyna up top and let him and CP just interplay off each other, bring AARon on for the first guy that gets tired. We weren’t going to win in the air against Wales, and it won’t be any better against England. Might as well try to cut them up with speed.
  10. I really did think we were going to win this. Baylor was stuffed by ISU and OK-Lite in the 2nd half of each of those games and was lucky to come out 1-1 and not 0-2. This being the 3rd time we have gone in half with a lead and losing - that is not a talent issue. The other team is making the adjustments, we aren't. That is a coaching issue. Both offense and defensive staffs need to step up or GTFO
  11. It was a hunch we were going to win. I said let’s drive up there and met my dad in Dallas at 5:30 on on Friday. We ended up pulling into town in the middle of the night and were like fuck it- no sense putting on airs and checking into the motel 6 next to the crack house at 4:00 in the morning/ we will just sleep at the Walmart and drive the rest of the way to the stadium when the homeless people come poking around.
  12. At the end of the game, people started throwing their plastic cups into the air in celebration and all you could smell was liquor. That was such a great night. Perfect weather, the stadium was electric, and we kicked the shit out of Cougar High. I was so confident that we were going to win the conference that I bought Cotton Bowl tickets the next day. And that just turned out fucking great. Also, "Somebody get that idiot off the goalpost."
  13. I don't understand some of you people (I'm calling all of you 'you people'). They lost the #1 draft pick, #3 draft pick, and the #12 draft pick. 10 our of their 22 starters were drafted last year. We got fuuuuucked on at least 3 calls that led to them winning the game. We don't have to deal with that much egregious fuckery this year. They are worse. We are better. We are going to win, convincingly. 38-14 325 yards.
  14. Wasn't able to get up for match yesterday after late Friday night so got to watch replay this morning. Really good to see them come out and rather than fucking around with a team like Fulham they went ahead and dispatched them with ease. We are not to the point where we are going to win constantly when running with the really big boys so it's important to make sure we kick the scrubs in the teeth. Oh and @texanbychoice.....nice effort.
  15. I was at Game 1 in '86. Scott outdueled Gooden. Glenn Davis hit a bomb for the game's only run. I knew right then that we were going to win the World Series. I was 10 and addicted to baseball. I played in two leagues and read The Bill James Historical Baseball Abstract and other similar titles every night. I wanted that World Series more than anyone's ever wanted anything. I can't talk about it anymore. P.S. Fuck the '86 Celtics, too.
  16. Best seats I ever had. Wasted. But 6 scholarship linemen. One was a covert dlineman. One was let go as a grad transfer. One was in a wheelchair when recruited. 1A or was it 2A QB who didn't win at that level. And the refs as usual were shitty. Big 12 level non call holding. We weren't going to win but they impacted the dollar value of my ticket in at least keeping it closer. In spite of uncle sonny's claim, there was limited talent and much of it was senior defensive guys. No depth.
  17. The Longhorn Foundation’s persistence in reaching out to me caused me to finally pull the trigger on a sweet pair of seats in one of the club sections. This is the first time I’ve had UT season tickets since I was in law school. My thought process was that I think we are going to win 9 games this season and we will be back competing for conference and national championships the following year so I wanted to lock in my donation now. Who else here has taken the plunge?
  18. Been thinking along these lines myself. That wasn't bad. I laughed more at the ad at the end, though. Seeing us get a sack when only rushing 4 during the 3rd quarter... haven't seen us do that in a long time, and that's when I felt we were going to win. More like, "Thanks for all you've done for me," but whatever. The largely mistake-free football was huge. It's almost like Sark, Flood and Banks had played in that stadium before or something. 😉
  19. BYU - 25 pass, 35 rush KSU - 37 pass, 37 rush It needs to be closer to 35-40 rush and 20-25 passes if we are going to win with MM. KSU 34th in rushing defense, TCU 70th They lost DL Winters (14.5 TFL, 7.5 sacks) DL Horton (15 TFL, 10.5 sacks, 1 FF). Their defensive numbers are down across the board along the front 7. KSU ran for 343 yards, ISU ran for 215, SMU 158, WV 201, Tech 146
  20. Quinn played well enough for us to win. Wash's O clicked in the 2nd half. Our D couldn't stop them. Their receivers made catches, our didn't. I saw good things from Quinn. He was stepping into this throws, making quick decisions and was mostly on target. We didn't have a running game to take pressure off Quinn and he still did well. We weren't going to win this game. As someone said, they owned both lines of scrimmage. We were in this game because of Quinn.
  21. At least someone is sticking up for LT. I have no problem w your trash talk as it shows what a great rivalry the schools have. I am as big a Westlake homer as you can be but I don’t think we are going to win going away. LT/Westlake in ANY sport is always gonna be tough. Most of my clients are LT and we have fun messing with each other but we respect how the schools compete. In my opinion, it‘s way better than college sports, especially the shite we witnessed today.
  22. That's as it should be. 100-1 was stupid odds for a Texas national title. Do I think we are going to win a title? of course not. But if we beat OU in December in Arlington we are likely playing for one- and it's not like the idea of Texas beating Iowa State is so hard to fathom that it's super unlikely we will play in that game in Arlington. If you get in the playoff you figure the longest odds are what- 10 or 12-1? 8-1? 6-1? yeah. 100-1 never made sense. I'd have it at something like 40 or 50-1 I think.
  23. We weren't going to win them all and both prizes are still there. All the undefeated talk was very USC 2005 and the undefeated regular season Patriots like. Couple this with adversity in the UCL and this might be the exact wake up call that the players and staff need to finish strong. They can't rest on their laurels. They're going to get everyone's best now. The good thing is it's a short week with Chelsea in the FA Cup on Tuesday and then back home for Bournemouth. But if you look at the last two, what was missing? Hendo. Maybe I'm wrong with who stirs the drink. Maybe, it's Hendo.
  24. I feel about this game the same way I felt about the OU game. We are going to win, barring some crazy shit happening. turnovers and players playing out of their minds aside, I just haven't been worried about this game with the match ups and play thus far. To contrast this, I was SUPER worried about Baylor. I've felt doubt and anguish for 2 games all year and they were Maryland and Baylor. We could absolutely lose the game, but don't think we do. Hell, Charlie won there with less, against more. Hook'em!
  25. Pulled the trigger on season tickets for the first time. I think we are going to win 9 games this year and this is the beginning of us competing for Big XII and National championships again. Wanted to lock in great seats before the demand and donation increases. Fuck the pussies on this thread who don’t want to see games at DKR. Nothing beats or comes close to experiencing a college football game in person - no matter how cheap the beer is or how great your TV is at home. My veneration and love of Tom Herman will be validated this season and I get to see it in person. Hook ‘em.
