Holy crap, that's Daphne Zuniga and Joey Tribiani in that video.

Yeah, that caught me way the fuck off guard.  The video looks like it's set in the 60's, but "night Moves" doesn't come out until '76, so how are LeBlanc and Zuniga in that video?  They were barely alive when "Night Moves" song/album came out.  They look like they're about 23 in that video. so maybe late 80's?  Why did Seger wait so long to make that video then, his heydey and that of music videos was much earlier.  Anyway, Zuniga looks gorgeous in that video.  She looked gorgeous in everything I suppose.  She still looks great.  If you google her as a bride last year, that guy she's standing next to is not her father about to give her away, that's her husband.  /csb

Anyway, wiki rabbit hole says video was released in 1994, but Leblanc and Zuniga were already stars on huge shows and pushing 30 years of age.  I'm guessing it was produced and shelved for several years.  Then dusted off when its two stars became bigger stars and Seger needed something to pep up his back catalogue ('86-'95 appears to be a dead period for him with just one album released).  I like the anecdote that LeBlanc was blackout drunk for the entire shoot having drank an entire bottle of tequila with Seger prior to filming.

I think Seger shot the video to accompany a box set or greatest hits type of release.  Friends had not hit the air at the time, so Joey was probably hungry for rent money.  I think Melrose Place was already a hit, but I don't know when Zuniga joined the show.

Live Bullet was released 48 years ago today.  I wore that record out.  Here's my favorite song on it. The ultimate get out on the highway and sing at the top of your lungs song.

In my mind, the ultimate is “Radar Love.”  But this is a strong contender.  Do we have a thread on ultimate driving songs?  Perhaps we should.  And don’t sleep on “Kathmandu” by Bob…………..

Ok I don’t know how I missed this thread originally. Maybe because I was getting divorced while it was going down, but regardless.

Bob Seger is so fucking good. Right up there with Tom Petty in my opinion.

So, when I was 14 in 1982 and worked flipping burgers at Sonic Drive In, our older balding manager Kenny was a big Bob Seger fan. Me and a couple other guys were way into Maiden, Judas Priest, etc etc and we were telling Kenny one time how much Bob Seger sucked. He just looked at us and said, boys, Bob Seger is a fantastic songwriter and when you grow up a little bit maybe you’ll understand. Kenny was right about that.

We also found out later than Kenny was banging Carla, the hot 16yo carhop. So there was that too.

Live Bullet is easily a top 5 live album.  the 3 album run from Night moves, Stranger in Town, Against the Wind is as solid a 3 album run as you'll find.  Hit after Hit.

reading the wiki - did not know he used the muscle shoals rhythm section  for half the songs on those albums...

Back story?

Oh nothing all that interesting to normal people. He modified his boat for more performance without declaring it on his rating certificate.

Ha. I wasn't there, this is probably close to 50 years ago.

Was trying to remember if Live Bullet was the record my dad used to play over and over that got me into Seger at an early age.  But it was the other live album--Nine Tonight.  That was like a Greatest Hits Live album, with a few new songs mixed it.
