Please tell me there is a reason for this other than "Sanders doesn't want to(is too good for that)" or "Sanders doesn't understand the playbook" stuff.

Nobody beats out Zappe, except most people. It's Zappening.

So it seems pretty clear Sanders’ success came as a result of Hunter and his son, rather than some out-of-the-box coaching genius. Their most probable record at this point is 4-8.

CU just won't ever run the ball and stick to it. Seaton would be an interesting transfer prospect. I imagine he'll have a lofty share of offers.

As bad as our RT has been I would take a flyer on the guy

He's a RS freshman who has started 2 games. Give the kid a chance to develop.

Not being willing to develop players is part of why Deion's team looks so shitty in year 3.

Baker is just 1 of 3 bad players on our OL now.

He would have been the ideal backup for them too...step in without much difference at all on offense.

There's a big difference there.

I meant in the "style" of offense.  Not like going from Lamar to Cooper Rush.

sanders isn't really a running QB like Jackson.

What a dumbass. That would’ve been a good situation to be in: sit behind Jackson, learn, and develop.

And maybe go to SB.

As he should be. We all saw the preseason and he STILL has the same problem he had in College. No feel for the pocket or pass rush, and backing out of protection and into sacks.

The Browns are actually SAVING him by not rushing him out there if he's smart enough.

Gabriel isn't the talent Sanders is...won't be as good in the long run. But he won't get himself sacked due to himself. he'll stay on script most likely.

so far, this season has played out the way Mary Cabot predicted. Flacco to start then get benched with Gabriel starting then at some point Sheduer (regardless of how Gabriel plays). They need to see what they have heading into next year's draft.

The thing is the Browns have a really good defense - the blowouts are due to Flacco's turnovers and special teams gaffes. Having any competence at QB gives them a chance to win games.

I have seen nothing to tell me Sanders is more talented than Gabriel.

Both he and Quinn share the same complete lack for any feel in the pocket. That alone will disqualify them from being legitimate NFL QBs. It's very hard to develop that at the NFL level if you never developed it long before. QB just naturally develop it over time. Even when Arch was at his worst with the mental yips against UTEP his pocket awareness and ability to navigate away from pressure was still there. That's ingrained by this point, and I don't believe Sanders will ever have it.
