Who is taking on that contract??

The contract isn't that bad. In fact if we trade him after 21 or 22 we save money. Cowboys have actually been fairly smart lately with minimizing bonus money so we don't end up with a shitload of dead money after a contract has reached about 3 years or so.

now we are going to see empty stats Dalton...

Yep. They're going to let him have as many 5-8 yard passes as he can eat, and he's going to finish with something like 275 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT and there will be a handful of Cowboys fans convincing themselves that he played well.

Doesn matter. Dalton is trash.

well yeah.  I'm just saying refs need to not suck and then make "make-up" calls in the attempt to even it out.  everything they have been calling happened in the first 2 quarters also.

we are still losing regardless.

It’s not all on Dalton, the protection is complete shit and Zeke has committed the aforementioned fumbles. Dalton has actually somehow saved several sacks by miraculously escaping. He hasn’t been great, but he’s down the list of reasons for this shitshow.

Part of a QB's job is to set the protection. It would be one thing if all the sacks were coming off individuals beating their men, but most of them are coming from the Cardinals bringing extra men. Dalton had Wilson available early on the last sack on 2nd down, but Dalton hesitated for some reason.
