Anyone able to speak on the medical marijuana vs consumable hemp stories going on after the governor veto? I thought I saw under the compassionate use rules 90 day “chronic pain” was added. Chronic pain has been a very elastic circumstantial barrier in Texas with regards to absentee voting. Was curious how doctor visits/proof may affect this, if at all, as it wasn’t required for voting.

The problem is that "medical marijuana" in Texas under compassionate use is like, barely anything. No flower allowed and it's a gummy or tincture of barely any THC. Doubt there are real medical benefits.

disclaimer: this was last time I checked like 18 months ago. Maybe things changed, but doubt it.

Isnt 10mg pretty much the base for all edibles and smoke for medicinal patients?

No. Are there plenty of 10mg edibles? Sure. But there are also 250mg edibles

Vape is 1g or 0.5g typically. I’ve seen a 2g canister. Pre rolls are around 0.5g and flower can be bought in larger quantities like 3.5 or 7g

PTSD is already on there and the websites claiming to get you your card make it seem like, without saying it, that pretty much anyone could qualify.

But we're not talking flower here, it's some BS 10mg crap gummy.

Each?  How many per how long?  I might have some chronic (hee hee) pain on the weekends.

Also, according to what I read early on (and may have been dropped), they are changing the rules to have remote outposts stocked more easily.

A 10mg gummy eases the nocturia I experience from having benign prostate hyperplasia (BPH) … I actually get some decent sleep.

10mg may work for some folks and that's awesome. However, 10mg isn't enough for everyone and their aliments.

Man I would get high as fuck with 10mg, especially on top of the whiskey and Mexican quaaludes.

10mg gummy allows me to be functional.

I had a 25mg caramel and felt like I was speaking in tongues... And while I enjoyed it, I do not have that kind of free time.

Not with that attitude

10mg right now. Chilling on the couch. Might go to the car wash.

I probably need to take a tolerance break. buddy gave me some 75mg gummies for sleep and I took one on the 4th to stave off the depression about what I was reading going on around me and barely felt anything. then again, i smoke a little throughout the day and it basically normalizes me and gives me focus. I haven't been high-high in a long time, and frankly I'm ok with that. I'd rather be normalized and functional than neurotic and high.

I can't even imagine smoking throughout the day and being normal. i see people who do it. they *think* they're normal, but I can tell they're high... they function, though.

getting high all day and taking small tokes periodically, especially before sitting down to focus on a task for a while, are completely different things. but everyone reacts differently and for me it's a calming, turn the chatter off in my brain kind of experience.

I've never liked the prolonged high of overdoing it with edibles, so I don't take them very much. I don't think I metabolize them like other people do either bc they just don't have a prolonged effect on me (anymore)

Few pulls on a cart and its much easier to draft documents and PPTs with  precision, IMO.  I do some of my best work "relaxed" as you are just free.

Legalization of cannabis by U.S. states is likely increasing the use of cannabis as an alternative to conventional pharmaceutical drugs. We examined how cannabis legalization between 1996 and 2019 affected stock market returns for listed generic and brand pharmaceutical companies and found that returns were 1.5-2% lower at 10 days after legalization. Returns decreased in response to both medical and recreational legalization, for both generic and brand drugmakers. Investors anticipate a single legalization event to reduce drugmaker annual sales by $3B on average.

Had one of these yesterday. Great taste and dare I say this is my preferred way of indulging. No dry mouth, no coughing. Was $7 retail (Chicago bleh).

Way cheaper than drinking alcohol, plus it should help with the beer belly since you only need one and it took the edge off. I’d drop these off in every Republican office in the Capitol extension if I could.
