I got bad news if they thought what we just showed wasn't a dumbed down version of the offense

I’m just curious why our young receivers that we dished out huge NIL aren’t getting run….if they playbook is too complicated for a receiver to get acclimated quickly then maybe the dumbed down version is too complicated and the regulate version is a god damn da Vinci code book

jimbo and his $80mil are a clear winner lol

We have at least gotten one conference championship and two playoff semifinal appearances from our bad coach.

Per BK...   Maybe to fix offense --  DUMB IT DOWN !!!

URGENT: Texas, Steve Sarkisian MUST Help Arch Manning Before the Longhorns' Season Falls Apart

I hope they take Stroh off the damn field too...

Dumb what down? Have you watched a game?

Last year actually resolidified my belief that Texas will never get to the mountaintop under Sark unless it's just 1.) An unbelieavbe amount of talent stacked on one team that can overcome coaching flaws; and/or 2.) A ridiculous, lightning in a bottle individual playoff run from the QB position ala Joe Flacco's Super Bowl run. He's been a great program builder but he continues to be mediocre as a pure football coach and I don't think he's likely to rip off 3-4 in a row against comparable talent.

I disliked the hire, and ragged on Sark plenty his entire first season which was inexcusable bullshit. But even then, with NIL starting to pick up, I said Sark could still win it all with a massive talent advantage, just like he had at Bama under Saban. The analogy I always made was Lesticles and Coach O winning it all at LSU. If those two choads can do it, so can Sark, especially with the Texas NIL machine to back his efforts.

I actually like the guy more now than I expected I would, and he seems solid at culture/program building in a way that the players buy into. As long as the sport continues devolving into a NIL/free agent shitfest, Texas' odds get better and better. But I still think his gameday coaching is ass my dude, and if he took a gig in the NFL, I wouldn't lose too much sleep over it.

Don't think they've gone under center all game either. Who knows if any of it makes a shit given the opponent, but it's pretty clear they went back to the drawing board after UTEP.

I'm pretty sure it was shotgun. It wouldn't have made sense to change the offense to go under center seeing as Arch was the back-up filling in for the injured starter.

That makes sense. I wasn’t able to watch a lot last night had kid things but seemed more from the gun last night on highlights. Let the NFL teach under center let’s fucking roll.

For the first time in awhile, I’m starting to question again whether Sark’a ceiling is well below elite.

this team wasn't in 'game mode' that first half

I bet there are a LOT of cunts on this board who will soon be screaming for his head when they negged me for pointing it out…

Guys are wide open and Arch is missing them by a mile.

He’s a sucky QB chooser

Don't let the last 2 years fool you. That was the result of loaded talent. That masked how below average he is at coaching. He's not taking us anywhere.

Arch has been under pressure ALL game.

Connor Stroh starting is a ABSOLUTE indictment of talent evaluation.

ETA: not giving Simon carries is fucking criminal

Yeah there’s no excuses. Every QB in CFB has to navigate an imperfect pocket every down and they do it.

Are we watching the same game?

we can’t run because we’ve had push on exactly 1 down in the first half.

Florida is fucking wrecking this OL. It’s not an excuse, it’s reality. Arch has been hit on release on about 6 different throws today.

Fire this fucking idiot. Garbage ass coach that got lucky with his first set of staff hires. He can't coach offense, he can't develop quarterbacks, and he replaces good coaches with shitty coaches. Fuck Sark

Sark is a great culture builder and play designer

he is not a great football coach and that portion of his responsibility, the O, performs worse than the sum of its parts. And yes, i know the parts are questionable today too.

Great play designer except when it matters most at the end of the semifinals games the last 2 years....

Everything is going wrong.  It is almost comical at this point.

the o line is so bad I don’t think a qb change will help.  We can’t run at all and no qb is going to look good constantly getting pressure with four guys.

He will be a real OC, on another team, within 3 years the way it’s going

Quick someone pull his numbers vs Kyle Shanahans in Atlanta.

Sark can’t seem to understand he doesn’t have the players at almost any level to run his offense. This was obvious after San Jose St. He had weeks to adjust and didn’t.

I’m not sure it’s a talent issue but if it is, it’s on him nor Tom Herman

I got a lot of shit for saying he’s James Franklin. I hate to break it to you, he’s worse than James Franklin. Losing to ucla is about as bad as losing to florida

Nah, UF is a better team.

I’ve survived and thrived among you people for nearly 1.5 decades by withholding comment on your foot-ball team.

Having said that, I’m looking forward to seeing how the Red Raiders and Aggies play this even-ing.

Edit- you can’t run CFL plays in this league, #1.

Posted

1. OL play and recruiting.
2. QB play.
3. Stalling offense that can never run.
4. Bullied defense against tough running offenses.
5. Underdeveloped star receivers.

6.Special teams gaffs.

7.Penalties galore.

8.Execution mistakes galore.

9. His teams always play with less passion than the good opponent.

I’m officially out on Sark. He’s a decent coach, but not good enough to build a consistent top program that can win it all, given the plethora of talent and resources he has to succeed, more than most other programs.

His coaching shows a lack of attention to detail, a lack of creativity, a lack of analysis and response, and a lack of leadership.

See y’all once everyone else figures out he’s not the guy. Probably will take until the middle of the 2027 season. I guess there’s a 1% chance he realizes he’s failing and figures out a way to adjust.  But usually guys that aren’t smart enough to succeed, aren’t smart enough to fix their own inadequacies
