The next coach needs to show up to the interview with a Brisket they either prepared themselves or at least the name of the place and the type of cut they like most.

Sark screams chopped brisket with no pickles or onions, and that my friends tells you everything you need to know.

No sir, I put Sark firmly in the wet rib school of thought. To make matters much worse he probably likes wet with Bama white BBQ sauce.

Speaking of someone giving up playcalling duties if any of you happened to catch the TNF game last night. This seems to be paying off?

Almost everyone at some point either chooses to do this or they are forced to do it. Continuing to be both isn’t sustainable imo (and per a long list of a ton of HCs who have either given it up or been given up on.)

I don’t think anyone here on this board is arguing that Sark continues to play call. Most want him to give up OC duties. As far as I can see. No matter whether we agree on anything else.

There may be some, but I don't recall any poster supporting Sark remaining OC and HC. I think him giving up play calling on the sidelines is an extremely rare Surly Unicorn of broad approval. Of course, I say that and someone will pop in to argue with me to prove me wrong. @David Dennison that's your cue.

The Texans win loss record the next couple of weeks might be interesting to follow as HC gives up his duties and all the sudden they are fucking rolling. Will see how it pans out. But they had a shit start to the year and are rolling late since he gave up being OC and delegated.

not wanting to talk about Texans much just the aspect of the HC doing this mid-season and it’s like they are crushing it. And yeah I don’t think many in this board are advocating that Sark continues to be both OC and HC. But nonetheless Texans will be interesting to follow to see if this turned the corner for them and perhaps made them viable as a playoff team if they win out?

If he’s neglecting his job for the bottle even a little bit then I want him gone. That shit snowballs.

The big question I ask myself is what is his job title and is he doing that job to the best of his ability? The answer to me is no at this point. Even during the 2 semi final years he was not doing his job to the best of his ability. His job isn’t offensive coordinator or Texas. I’d argue that he’s don’t a better job being a OC here than he has as a HC.

Its almost like at every persons career growth at some point they hit a stage where someone has to smack them in the head and tell them to delegate more.

I'm a software engineer by trade, getting into management guess what almost no coding. want to code ? go be an engineer. similarly to reach higher levels you have to be able to delegate more, hold people accountable, and fucking manage. You can be a good manager or a good engineer, but no one has the capacity to do both.

I think the signal at large here is you want to be a head coach, be a fucking head coach. If you want to call plays, be a play caller. Right now Sark is trying to do both, doing neither exceptionally well, and he needs to decide which of these he wants to be. Either is fine, but he's paid to be head coach, not play caller.

Saban famously focused on process and systems. Sark needs to call up his old boss and ask for some series perspective help. He needs to focus on his system and processes at large, architect the offense but delegate the execution of it to someone he can trust.

You should add in GM to the mix of shit Sark is trying to handle. I'm happy to be corrected by people that know more than me but based on my reading Sark is pretty much handling the GM responsibilities for the most part too. So, HC, GM, and OC all at once absolutely results in none of them being done well. And... well...

TBF, regardless of how Rappaprapparaport worded his tweet, the Texans defense wasn't chopped liver before 'Mec'r gave up play calling. They were still one of the top units in the NFL, and at the time had still allowed the fewest points.

Hell, he can call Saban or Pete Carroll. I don't love either of those guys but its hard to argue with their success. Both of them even know how to handle bag men.

Sark giving up play calling duties doesn't solve a thing.

Plenty agree with that take. I'm among them, but if he does return at least acting like he will change is the minimum he can do. Still need a competent GM, as well as OC, OL, WR, RB, and DB coaches. There are a few issues.

I've come up with a saying that will help Sark find his way as a Head Coach and a play caller.

"All gas, no brakes."

Pretty good, huh? It means playing (and coaching) with aggression and urgency. To never let up. To impose your will. He should try it!

I’m of the opinion that even if we lose both games, he’s here next year (assuming the rumors aren’t true).

He's here next season for sure.

And his first test to see if he survives the season will be the Ohio State game.  If we get the "Route 66" like treatment, the rest of the SEC schedule from that point forward will be huge trip wires.  Hopefully for Sarks sake and our program, we see the changes needed starting in January to avoid this.  If we do see them, that means the CDC, the Admin, and the BMD's have made it clear this is make of break time.

Since you quoted me then deleted, I never said the figure was wrong.  I was laughing at the queen of Bravo style gossip quoting "google" for sources knowing damn well there are posters that knew specifics and could weigh in.   Anyone that reads this board with any minimal regularity should have known who I was referring to.

You’re grasping at straws on this one. This was his way of telling Bohls to shut the fuck up…and that should be a unanimously agreeable point on this Bohls has got to shut the fuck up

Bohls wakes up every day hoping to find a way to piss all over the UT football program, frankly with was the SID I would have pulled his credentials years ago. The shitty AAS got so tired of his retarded shtick they fired him but somehow the Houston Chronicle thought hiring a near retirement age no nothing was a smart business decision.

Yet, and importantly, the numbers by Bohls were pretty close and as a net she was correct. Your ridiculous "there are posters here that know" bullshit could have just been to tag @immamacor @RGBIII

In summation, you were talking shit about something not even directly quoted that was accurate. Made vague references to other posters for no reason who ended up confirming the information you questioned as true. Then you have the stones to come in here and shit on @Nicole44 again.

She was accurate, you were wrong. You're a petulant little child and we are done.

With PK we won’t get routed.  I think sark will be our coach indefinitely unless there’s behavioral challenges

And the heavy weights who did weigh in told you a LOT of fucking money was spent on this team. We don’t want people to know how much. That Bohl’s can fuck off but that he was closer to the actual figure spent than he was not.

Bohl’s can always fuck off. It’s an imperative.

but both things can be true. Bohl’s can be close to the amount of money spent. And still be a raging anti-UT asshole. He only reported that to hurt us.

nonetheless, unless we make the playoffs Sark pissed away a staggering amount of money. Truth.

my info on his ass comes from people. Not Google. Not Bravo. Not Reddit. Not UT haters like Bohls. People in close proximity to Sark or who know people who do. Grow up twat waffle. 🧇
