Garrett Stubbs just hit his first career homer for Philly. Plunked a dude in the face who tried to barehand it.

  • This postseason has become more sentimental for me and my wife's family.  My father in law is the biggest Astros fan I know.  He watches every game without fail, even DVRing them if he can't watch liv

Yordan becoming average defensively opens up more options moving forward.

4 runs is not a big enough lead for Blake Taylor in the ninth.

Can our closer handle back to back appearances?

How many starts does Yordan have in LF this season? Appears to be a very regular occurrence.

15

Pressly getting the saves, but I don't have much trust in his 93mph rag arm. Come playoff time my butthole gonna be in straight pucker mode

As Taylor was fumbling his way into that jam, I realized he and Aaron Nixon have this in common.

quick question - what time is it?

Time for me to close out…

Oh, nvmd.

I was told the Mariners were.supposed to be good. 10 games back lmao

The Stros have enjoyed some nice breaks lately. LMJ threw off a mound this week. Odorizzi looked like an automatic ACL, and it’s just a ligament strain. Altuve’s hammy wasn’t bad at all. Neither was Peña’s knee.

Knocking on wood. Injuries gutted the team last year. The 2021 World Series looks a lot different with Verlander and LMJ.

Pena didn't look comfortable after his single where he was thrown out trying to turn it into a double. I think he's playing through it right now. After the next 3 days they get a day off, so he's probably not playing Wednesday.

Yeah Pena is clearly not 100%. He seems.to be limping/favoring that leg after every run.

Sounds like he tried to catch it with two stubbs.

Would suck to lose him for an extended period of time. Beside the fact that it would hurt the team, he's currently running away with the ROY.

With the way the Astros handle injuries, this is something that is nagging, and not serious. Maybe a bone bruise or something like that. After the Cleveland series, the Astros will have plenty of off days moving forward.

I really want the Astros to draft Melendez. 5 picks in the Top 140, which is likely his projection.

Would love to see Ivan continue to grow as a player in this organization.

MLB draft talk - is that pitcher from Vanderbilt a free agent or does he have to back into the draft ?

Kumar Rocker will re-enter draft. Projected to go in back half of 1st round.

Has he actually pitched in the indy league he joined?

Same as Aiken.

Nope. Scheduled 1st start is June 4 for the former Astro affiliate, the Tri City Valley-Cats.  Should get several appearances before the draft.

thats who I’d take a flyer on

do we know the pitching matchups for the cleveland series?

scoretracker shows plesac tonight but baseballpress shows mckenzie.  we'll miss bieber, but if mckenzie is also pushed back for some reason, i wouldn't be too upset.

need 2/3 here or a sweep.

In fact, I’d look over any Vanderbilt kid very closely

Jack Leiter, the Rangers’ savior from Vandy, has had a few decent outings but several absolutely atrocious ones. He’s not the sure thing they were hoping for.

That's a shame gif

you hate to see it, but you love to see it gif

Astros are rocking a 2.09 ERA in May. That's more than a full point lower than any other staff.

There's a lot of ways I saw this season going, but our pitching staff getting BETTER without Strom was not one of them.

There must be a reason the official guardians page doesn’t have the probables yet, but fwiw:
