  • This postseason has become more sentimental for me and my wife's family.  My father in law is the biggest Astros fan I know.  He watches every game without fail, even DVRing them if he can't watch liv

well that's a hell of a way to lose a game

Dusty has to switch Abreu and Stanek in their roles. Stanek walks too many fucking people.

This team ain’t ready to win a World Series. This is the NL C or D team

What in the actual fuck was that defense alignment?????

Idk maybe it’s just me cause I don’t watch other teams but it seems like we shift a lot!! And it burned us there

Maybe, but the Braves could absolutely repeat.

this would have fuckall to do with what happens if we meet in the WS

Dusty needs 7th and 8th inning guys he can trust. That trust has taken a hit this week.

Braves are having the stretch we had against the Yankees and Mets in June.

i’d be up for fast forwarding to end of October and see what happens

Braves are a good team fighting for the division at home, and we're really beaten up. So in and of itself, losing to them is understandable. But the way this game and several other recent ones went down is still annoying. Take out the laugher in Chicago and our run production has been pathetic. That's not purely a result of injuries.

Astros are gassed. Tomorrow will be their 33rd game in 32 days.

Impossible, days off are for pussies !

I mean, we get two off days in the next 10 so if we're still shitting the bed then yeah we're done.

We needed another bat and one elite level bullpen guy. We have one elite level bullpen guy in Pressly, and another one that is close in Abreu. Those two guys should be getting as many clutch innings the Astros have, to prepare for the playoffs. Of course, Dusty will go with the seniors on the team that keep failing left and right. Altuve needs a day off, and the Astros need to go get a real leadoff hitter in the off-season.

someone like javier will end up as a multi-inning guy in the postseason. maybe even lmj.

This thread is a great place to go to forget the Astros have the best record in the American League.

Just don't go to the fangraphs playoffs odds page!

I was always a big fan of sending a kid back out there after they ‘fell off the horse’. Get that hit, want that ball, make the play …

Star Wars GIF

I’m fired up. This team is expected to win, regardless of the line up today or any other day. It’s a day off tomorrow, let’s enjoy it with a W behind us.

Now Altuve has a sore shoulder and is out. Let’s never score 20+ runs again.
