No lie, at one point Phil said “Shout out to good parenting!”

Taking my son to Houston to see them on the 14th. He just turned 16. This will be his first big metal show and it’ll be my first time to see Metallica too. He’s so pumped.

Kenny Wayne Shepherd and Bobby Rush at The Majestic in Dallas tonight (I live next door to it).

Headed to terrorize the Wicked Butcher patio shortly.  Come yell out "Mule Dick" and say hello.

After that, I'll be the dude in the front row in one of my B.B. King tour shirts (always difficult to find one in my sea of Metal tour shirts).

Bourbon and Blues on a Friday, yall!  Cheers!

Is Wicked Butcher any good? I’m in that area frequently.

It is a nice place to go dine, and they cover all the bases with some nice dining flourishes thrown in.  Obviously, the dining room is fancier, the bar/patio is more casual.

However, it seems like we hang on the patio or in the bar for random cocktails and apps more than we eat in the restaurant.  Wine list, cocktails, brown liquor are all fantastic.  For example, last night was a bottle of Ghost Block Cab with their (insanely good) Hummus and a Charcuterie plate, along with their complementary Popovers.  It was all we needed before the show.

The best Filet in town, however, after exhaustive research...The Woolworth.  Repeatedly.  And their service and bar ain't no slouch either.

If that helps...

It does thanks. I like The Woolworth. The pig face at CBD Provisions is a show stopper too.

Then I definitely need to go there.  Walk by it all the time on the way to, either, The Mitchell or The Scarlet Pumpernickel (or both!), depending on the mood.

Thanks for the rec!
