Biden recounting Trumps sins.  Including bankrupting a casino.  Wow.  The best 10 minutes in TV.

That’s gonna pull Trump out of hiding. He can’t let that all go

Then put him to bed early. Still seems to me to have the best chance to win. There’s no option for anyone other than him or Kamala. I think she would do worse than he would in the rust belt.

Hell yes !!!!

President Biden lays out his second term agenda:

—Restore Roe v. Wade
—Sign John Lewis Voting Rights Act
—Expand Social Security and Medicare
—End all medical debt
—Raise the minimum wage
—Pass the PRO Act for workers
—Ban assault weapons
—Lead the world on clean energy
—Permanent child tax credit
—$35 insulin cap for all
—Build more housing
—Invest in child care and elder care

Yea, but the other side wants to have the biggest deportations ever in the history of the country so that's more important to most people than what Biden wants to do.  At least Fox News is telling them that is what should be most important to them.  You know, since the illegals are coming in hordes and raping and murdering everybody.

At this point, yes. A year and a half ago, I don’t believe that to be true.

I disagree that he is clearly "impaired" and I completely disagree with your numbers.  So, where does that put us?  Is it OK to disagree or are you fucking omnipotent?

Yup.  Unlike folks like @Js1 and @hobbes2702, I welcome disagreement and honest debate.

I guess we'll find out who's right on election day.

It’s a shame he didn’t just step down after midterms. Kamala gets a full year for voters to decide if they like her and, if they don’t, then they can hold a Dem primary.

Now we can hope he does that in 2026

Everyone on both sides talking about the strong bench they have. Sports analogy.

but in slang, bench means this:

Otherwise known as bread-crumbing, this is when someone you've been dating stops agreeing to meet in person, but continues to contact you over message and social media. “These people are essentially keeping you on the bench while they play out their other options

Not sure I know what this means other than you might be 12.

Someday perhaps you'll form a reasoned thought.  Until, then I'll continue to laugh at you.

Joy Reid is right - Biden is a completely different dude when he has a crowd. We need to keep seeing that Joe, and then he needs to knock it out of the park at the DNC.

That's not true - the Rs don't have a strong bench at all.  They do have a lot of weirdos who all believe the same things.

If you're boy Trump gets elected in about three years you'll wonder what happened to your life's work and net worth.  But keep posting those memes!!!!!!!

Great. When are you going to start debating honestly?

You more than most should know you shouldn't diagnose that from afar, especially given the fact that it isn't your area of expertise.

How am I not?  Provide examples, not sound bites.

Ask a question and I'll give you an honest answer.  Might not be the answer you want, but it will be honest.

Well, for instance by suggesting that either @Js1 or @hobbes2702 aren't interest in honest debate. That's very dishonest as nothing from their posts suggest that. They disagree with you and apparently you don't like that. You're only willing to consider arguments that accept your assumptions and argumentive framework. That's not seeking honest debate. You're looking for affirmation and a pat on the head, not debate.

No it isn’t. He had a q&a yesterday and did perfectly fine.

Really?  Ok.  Perhaps you could synthesize there arguments for me, because they mostly sound like ad hominem attacks.

However, I'd be happy to respond to your interpretation.

I don't care if he's tired.  I don't care about his schedule.  Whip that horse down the stretch.  If he dies, he dies.  I don't care.  Biden signed up for this.  Do it.

100% agree.

If he's going to stay in the race, the keep pumping him full of stimulants until he either wins the election or dies trying.

(1) Biden isn't mentally impaired, at least not in the sense that he can't do the job or function normally. He is mentally diminished from his prime or even a few years ago. He is old and doesn't function well when tired. And his age makes him tired more often. However, he is still completely capable of functioning at a higher level than vast majority of the populace.

(2) Democrats shouldn't be choosing their candidates based upon courting so called "independents". Independents are not reliable voters. Those that are, are generally GOP voters who largely feign at being independent. Instead, Democrats should choose their candidates based upon the choice of Democrats.

If you want my opinion, Biden is old, not "impaired" or senile. I think he has been the best President of the last 40 years, and perhaps the most important one. Despite that, I would have preferred someone younger to have won the nomination. Unsurprisingly, that didn't happen. That said, I think all the focus on trying to replace Biden at this late hour by certain Democrats is entirely panic induced and self defeating. There was never a realistic shot of rallying the democrat's base around any other candidate at this point. The party is too diverse with too many different views for that to happen. And trying to change to another candidate to court less enthusiastic and reliable independents isn't a viable path to winning the election either. The only option is to rally around Biden just as the GOP has rallied behind Trump.

Had Hillary been like this, she'd be president today.  Donald Trump is a fraud at everything he's done in life and was literally pitching for Godfather's Pizza before he got a reality show.  Hillary was too polite.

I sure hope some of these Quidiots are making bank with these hot takes.  That said, I look forward to our new Declaration of Independence from the Current United States that spells out VP requirements, because it will help free up excess verbiage in the new Constitution of the New United States.  Or something.  Is JFK Jr able to sign from the drink off Martha's Vineyard or did they ever bring his body up?

1. I'm not a doctor, nor an expert on the subject but I we clearly see things differently.  Either way, saying "he's just an old man" doesn't inspire much confidence either.

2. I get the point, but this isn't a normal election with normal consequences.

I tend to look at things in unemotional and practical terms.  I see the election as a marketplace, where the electorate is the consumer, and the parties are sales organizations designed to get the electorate to buy their product (candidate) instead of the competitor's product.

One party is selling a dystopian future, and the other is selling us a near cadaver.  Really?  That's the best we can do as a country?  If so, maybe we don't deserve to exist and should just commit seppuku by not voting and letting Trump take over.

What I describe as the 6th Stage of Grief...

That's fine if that is what you believe. It is objectively wrong, but whatever. If the democrats picked the candidate you wanted, maybe you'd vote for them. The problem is that all your other so called independents want different candidates. There is no one person the democrats could pick that are likely to engage enough independent turnout to make up for lost core dem enthusiasm by dropping their elected candidate. I'm not sure why you don't grasp that. The other independents are not you.

But, sure, if you want to destroy the country in a tantrum because *checks notes* Biden is old, then obviously you're the type of mature voter this country needs.
