His cunty ass reply to George calling for a stiffer penalty: "I'll bring a tissue next time". Fuck off, prick. This isn't demolition derby.

He didn't even make an attempt to defend himself, which is pretty telling of his intent. I respect his race craft but I also wonder if others drove with the same reckless abandon he does, how would F1 look? I feel like a lot of his ability comes down to his willingness to push the envelope and not give a fuck about consequences.

His father trained him to be exactly that guy... If you can't win, be the guy who is willing to fuck up the entire race for someone else.

He makes me enjoy watching him when he can't just be faster than everyone. I know he's going to race beyond the limit and act like he was right.

It works for him, so he's not wrong... He's just... Wrong.

People today would have stroked out if Senna or Schumi were driving.

Both Senna and Schumi were hit with disqualifications and suspensions for their various actions.

So I was thinking, when Max does Max stuff, he's driving hard and it's ok. When someone does Max stuff against Max, he cries. He's like a bully getting punched in the arm (not even the nose) and telling on the person who did it.

Both also did things significantly worse than anything Max has done on track.

Driving over top of Hamilton was pretty bad.

Driving over top was bad. Hitting the throttle with his wheel an inch above Hamilton's dome could have popped his head off.

Oscar is a legit Iceman.  Not sure I've heard a change in tone from him, ever.  Dude just puts his head down and gets on with it.

I like that this is catching on.  Did I start it?

Saw a fun rumor that would be excellent if it plays out:

Aston Martin will use Lance's wrist injury to cut him and insert another driver.  Medical retirement will save Larry from having to fire his kid and they can put a real driver in that 2nd seat.

Finally sobered up enough from Monaco to say fuck Max and I take back anything about warming up to him.

How much money has Lawrence blown on Lance's racing "career"?

Realize he is worth a few billion and maybe his plan is to keep Lance away from the family business as long as possible, but but outside of Magnussen, I can't think of too many other drivers with that many career starts and that few a career points.

As a Red Bull fan, and a Max fan, this is a tough spot.

The planned 3-stop strategy looked fantastic until that last safety car.  Having to put the hards on (as the only real option) was a disaster.

I did think it was bullshit that Charles came over on him on the straight, and that has been completely glossed over in the aftermath (I did see the official investigation say they both moved towards each other, but it certainly did not look like that live).

I was not sure why the team told Max to give the place back.  I can imagine all of these added to Max's frustration.

All that being said...intentionally driving into another car should be a pretty significant penalty.  if you really want to discourage it, it should be a giant pile of points on the driver's license, or a mandatory ban for the next race.

Part of the reason that Max is so good, is that he is always pushing things to the limit.  This was far, far over the limit though.  :(

Cut to Ian James ordering more parts kits for the Aston WEC car...

I mean, the dude’s yacht his so big he has to launch a smaller boat from said yacht so he can enter Monaco harbor.

I’d bet Lance’s F1 salary : Lawrence Stroll : : my kid’s $10 a week allowance: me.

True, but if the yacht isn't mistaken for a cruise ship it is still middle tier at Monaco.

Not sure how much Lawrence was pumping into Williams for a couple of seasons, but he did put down a bit of coin in the Force India fire sale and then with Racing Point and finally the second rebrand to Aston Martin.

Pretty funny rewatching the old Drive to Survive and just how fucking clueless Lance is about much of life.  Seriously might be a bigger dumb fuck out of car than in the car.

Surprised that George didn't get more "protest votes" for Driver of the Day just because he cut the chicane.

That was a perfect example of why they need to penalize positions rather than time. Such bullshit. Glad he did get a penalty tho.

Monaco is a great spectacle, but it just isn’t a race course now. I guess we just have to accept that the Sunday race will never matter.

It's still a race course. It's the cars that need to change. It would still be difficult to pass, as it always has been, but some passing would get done. But with these heavy, huge pigs, it's never gonna happen. When the cars were smaller and lighter, there was some passing and the ability of the cars to change direction even in medium and slow-speed corners was astonishing. That's all gone tho, because we can't have nice things.

I read somewhere that one reason the car had gotten longer was the protective area around the drivers and the front on the 23' does look a bit longer, but it really looks longer in the back which is the power unit and the fuel cell.

I am seeing things wrong?

I don't think the size of the mandatory monocoque safety cell or other safety structures have increased in recent years. They increased the size of the floor (and the length and width) when the hybrid pu components and batteries increased the weight, because they need a bigger floor to create the downforce needed to make such a heavy pig of a car perform effectively (slow-speed turns notwithstanding).

Lawson is a fucking magnet for other cars. Was his youth career like this or is this an f1 thing for him?

Can't wait for him to be replaced.

Srsly. Dude is slow af and a fucking menace during the race. Contact all over the place. He's been in F1 long enough now to understand when he's diving in from wayyyy too far back. Weird how guys with much less experience than him already have a far better understanding of what they can and can't do in wheel to wheel racing.

Nah. If you were McCroskey you'd go punch him. If you were George, you'd go find a mirror and make sure your hair was perfect.

He's probably made money. A lot of money. All the teams are worth far more now than they were before Lawrence bought FI for $117M. I doubt it's worth less than 10x that now.

Yeah a position penalty would have worked there too. It's all a big mess now.
