The rule book is full of double standards that favor the offense.

It's inappropriately named because someone pushing Hurts isn't the reason for it's success.  Hurt's with or without a push just rides the o line.  Banning the push part won't matter much.  I don't know if it's the same on every QB sneak across the league but the Eagles entire OL is in the neutral zone when the ball is snapped.

It’s stupid to me to ban it because it’s only really wildly successful for one team. It works so well for them because they have (and always have) an excellent OLine and a QB who is patient enough to let them get a surge before plowing into the line. Most QBs are up their center’s ass before he can even engage the DL in front of him…

I don’t think it should be banned, but I don’t see why it’s ok for offensive players to push each other forward but not defensive players. If we’re gonna scrum, both sides should have the same rules.

By that same logic, it should be illegal for a defensive lineman to move once they’re ’in their stance’…

They'll likely cut him next year with a post-June 1 designation. Kind of what the Broncos had to do with Russell Wilson. Here's his situation from Overthecap:

No matter what, the Browns are really screwed for the next several years.

They should have granted Miles Garrett his wish and let him sign somewhere else. A $40M defensive lineman isn’t going to be able to compensate for the rest of the roster.

There will be a lot more to come out of this story.

Jeff Sperbeck, the longtime friend, business partner and former agent of John Elway, died today from injuries he suffered when he fell off a golf cart being driven by the Hall-of-Fame quarterback. Sperbeck was 62.

If there was drinking involved could Elway be charged with something? I wont hold my breath for an answer. It is Surly.

He could face both civil and criminal repercussions if he was drinking.  Apparently they were returning from a dinner/event of some kind, so it is definitely possible that some drinks were had.  If he was drunk and drove negligently, I can’t imagine the horror of knowing you killed your good friend.  Lets hope nobody was drunk and this was just an unfortunate accident.

The article says the sheriffs office found no indications of negligence which would presumably include being drunk. The family also mentioned Elway in a positive light, would be odd if they thought he had contributed to the accident by being wasted. Don’t see how it could possibly be anything other than a bizarre and tragic accident.

Didn’t have Johnny Bananas being part of the group on a bingo card.

According to Klis, Elway and his girlfriend and Sperbeck and his wife were among a group traveling back from an event at the Madison Club in La Quinta. It had been reported initially that the group attended the Stagecoach country music festival that night, but that is untrue.

After leaving the function, a caravan of "three or four golf carts with a total of 10 to 15 people" began making its way back to Elway's home. The trip was reportedly no more than a quarter-mile.

Elway was driving a cart at the back of the caravan, with his girlfriend and Sperbeck's wife Cori sitting up front and Sperbeck and MTV actor/television personality Johnny Devenanzio, also known as Johnny Bananas, riding on the back.

Elway was reportedly following the carts in front of him when Sperbeck fell off.

"There was no swerving or horseplay, according to sources. No one was drunk, according to multiple sources. The cart didn’t hit anything. It had been a smooth ride," Klis wrote.

Sperbeck fell directly on his head and was clearly in grave danger. Elway called 9-1-1 but emergency and hospital personnel were unable to save the Hall of Famer quarterback's longtime agent.

Gee wonder what team they keep pushing for no damned reason...

The cowboys have 7 Prime time games(for now) the final game of the season is tbd...and if the Cowboys are good they'll probably flex some game late.

Add in all the 3:25 stars and they keep putting them in the national window.

I could see him sounding like madden tbh

Yeah I don't think he can't do it...just want to hear it before getting hyped.  He pulls the look...but the mannerisms and voice matter for that.

No, there's a very logical reason. Dallas gets ratings. They will always be the top of the list of primetime games. Sure, these can be flexed out if they flat out suck like they have before but networks want Dallas as often as they can. This is why Jerry doesn't care about actually winning.

Then tell them the snap count...

We can go on forever.
