Suppose increase is a sign of the times.   Was on texags looking for info on softball game last Friday and noticed their baseball prices.   Note all seats require a donation.   Likely most of the SEC baseball teams also have increases.

So they are going to assign you a seat in the old GA sections and raise the price $75

Pretty much. But then you may be able to move over during seat selection:

Beginning with the 2026 season, Texas Athletics has discontinued general admission season ticket seating for Texas Baseball at UFCU Disch-Falk Field. Renewing general admission season ticket holders will not have a seat location listed on their season ticket application but will receive reserved seat location(s) in Plaza sections prior to January’s Online Seat and Parking Selection process. Pending availability, there may be opportunities to upgrade to Upper Grandstand or Lower Grandstand reserved seat locations. Online Seat and Parking Selection timeslots will be determined in Texas Athletics Loyalty Points rank order. The Loyalty Point lock date is Monday, November 17. Click here to see the 2026 Texas Baseball pricing map.

Are those seats going to require a seat donation now?

I'm on the waitlist for season itckets, so I haven't gotten the email yet. I was planning to probably just get GA this year. FML.

Plaza sections...L2-L6, R2-R-4, at this time (+next season) do NOT require a seat donation.

That could/will possibly change in the future with supply and demand for tickets. I've had my seats in R2 since '18, and myself and those around me wonder each year if the donation will be added the following year.

As far as expansion, last year I heard more than once about putting stands behind left field plus another YETI yard in right to the left of the bullpen. CDC and the University want the road behind left to be taken out so the scoreboard could be moved back (where the road is now) with seats/bleachers placed in front of it. City is balking on that due to public and fire access to the parking garage.

Cool. If I have to pay a donation for every seat, then I'm probably out.

I think they already said they'll have another Yeti Yard type of thing in right next year. I'm all for outfield seating if we can get it, but I'd really love to see the upper level extended down the 3B line. Yeah, I know, I'm 60, so prolly not in my lifetime.

ETA: Re: Fire access, Fire can already access the garage from the MLK entrance and the one from the IH35 feeder. That seems like enough to this old firefighter's eyes, but what do I know. I'm sure they have measurable standards for that kinda thing, but that seems like enough to me. Maybe it's about Comal St. hydrant access.

im a radical, level and rebuild. grass field. d-f was outdated 30 years ago

soooo many great stadiums they can copy and improve / fit to their needs (i'm sure they want most suites).

Makes perfect sense to expand there. I think it would be great to see an elevated section that would still allow the walkway to remain underneath and s provide access to the the left field entrance/exit. Would cut out the knot hole seats/SRO view from the parking garage but oh well on that.

Done right, it would add an old school (think minor/major league stadium) feel and addition to the Disch.

I'm all for that, too. I was 9 when they opened the mfer. Make it so, CDC.

Yep.👆 You, I, and everyone else knows that it can be accessed from the other two points. I was just relaying the BS line that was told to CDC and the University from the city.

They (Austin) just don't want to give up the road behind left field. Most likely for the easier access pre-game.  That's the word for now and it might take a bit, but I don't doubt that the road will be gone eventually and there will be seats on the outfield wall(s).

What am I missing here… Just push the road up against the tennis courts.

Are is the fight over who pays to move the road?

It's not moving the road but getting rid of it.

University wants it removed and the city says they need it for access.

It’s not. You can get cheap seats in good sections just about every game if you can’t snag seasons.

The issue with level and rebuild is we won’t get a stadium for fans and sightlines (Disch is elite for sightlines from every seat). We will get a stadium for revenue. And those of us who’ve had our seats since the first season of season tickets, will get screwed.

Before the season starts -

They have to fix the outfield wall/green mesh thing before the season still.

Right field “yeti” yard

Right field bullpen open up so the pitchers can see into the ballpark while they are out there

Apparently the foul polls are not the correct height and have to be replaced.

How many people were for and against the correct height?

Not necessarily for sightlines. Seating has flattened out and moved back from the field rather than gone vertically like disch.

Would they keep trying to renovate Disch-Falk or would there be a completely new stadium?

Which brings up again where would the new stadium be located and where would the Horns play till the completion of the new place was finished.

Is Round Rock an option?

If there is a tear down and rebuild then the stadium would need to be on the other side of 35. No clue where that could be though.

Considering UT has committed to providing the $ for the capping of 35 as part of the TXDOT I35 expansion and lowering, moving of the stadium moo.

It does say revenue is up 235% maybe they sold the stadium?

While not officially a member until July 2026, I think it sounds more like projected revenue from joining the Pac 12.
