Your post assumes Stroh is actually the best option we have at LG and then devalues all our other options from there.

I think it’s much more likely Flood’s overvaluing one player due to a specific trait, like Flood being a size queen, which isn’t that uncommon.

There’s just no fucking way I can believe we don’t have a single OL on the team who’s capable of putting up a better performance than the Hodor on Skates show we’ve been watching the last couple weeks.

If Stroh actually is our best option in Year 5 of Flood’s tenure, then Flood should be forcibly removed from the building and forced to be Fat Ketch’s plumber for the rest of his days.

My post assumes Stroh will play, because, you know, the coaches keep putting him out there. They also believe in OL continuity. He’s not great, but I’m choosing to be optimistic on his potential.

I don’t think Neto is the solution, but as stated I would like to see others get more of an opportunity.

If you have some magic pill that gives you amnesia over the course of the Charlie Strong era, can you please send one my way?

In the context of OL don’t forget Charlie had an OL good enough for some guy named Donta Foreman to run for 2k yards in a season. You think he could do the same behind this OL? And don’t get me wrong Charlie Strong sucked ass as a head coach.

Late to the party, and nowhere else to post this.

There used to be listing in the Austin phone book in the 70's for "Henador Titzoff", which actually was the number for a Sorority House.

Henador Titzoff = He gnawed her tits off.

The obvious solution is to just play Stroh when we are passing, and substitute players that are better run blockers when we want to run the football.

LG appears to be a failure thus far. I wonder what happened there. Did they miss completely on Neto? Chatman has to be healthy by now, or is he strictly a tackle now? In fall camp I remember Sarks criticism of Neto is that he had a blazing fastball, but needed to be more disciplined with other pitches. His fast ball being his ability to maul in the run game. I think Sark favors pass protection on that left side.

Guys. GUYS. Stop being mean. He just needs another 3 years to learn balance, coordination, proper form, good instincts, and technique. You're all impatient.

Cole Hutson does suck, though, I'll give Atticus that.

This got me thinking about Bijan running behind the 2021 OL. That line was Jones / Okafor / Majors / Angilau / Kerstetter.

Even though we’re crashing/strohking out on this thread, I think this line is better than that one? I have a lot of memories of Bijan getting hit behind the line that year, but maybe the memorable part is him breaking tackles and getting highlight runs. At least this one generally pass blocks well.

None of our RBs are YAC beasts like Bijan was. And I say that with mad respect for Wisner, who I think is underappreciated and underrated.

One last misery porn stat, Stroh’s 47.8 run blocking grade ranks 374 out of 395 guards that have played a minimum 50 snaps.

That might be a better strategy vs whatever tf he's doing now.

The good news is we probably wont need to buy 5 defensive tackles next offseason, so maybe we could take a seat at the transfer OL table that Oregon and Miami have gotten fat from

Exactly, there are some dipshits on here that do not undestand college football at all.

Well, he’s no Forest Gump. Maybe a poor man’s Tristan Nickelson.

Been hearing about Sark wanting to run IZ from day one, but it has not happened. To be honest it is not unreasonable for Sark to believe the staff could develop an OL in 5 years that can run IZ. The excuses have varied from young OL to RB. At some point you have to ask if Flood's proficiency lies elsewhere. The only thing that has been a constant under Sark and Flood is the OL has been a finesse OL (screeners vs road graders). It is the biggest reason the redzone has been a major issue under Sark, when he does not have RBs that can hide the issues.

It seems like Flood has developed OTs well but iOL poorly his whole time here. Banks and Cam Williams both surpassed their recruiting rankings. Goosby seems on track to do the same. Baker TBD but should end up at least solid with more experience. Meanwhile at iOL, Campbell and Neto have underperformed and no one has really overperformed expectations (Maybe Jake Majors?).

Not gonna spend the time researching but I wonder how his track record pre-Texas lines up in terms of OT vs iOL success.

What were Hutson's grades at Guard the last two years? Seems like he was at least OK at guard but bad at C. Maybe they should move him to OG and try someone else at C (yes I realize others have suggested this).

Although worth noting - Robertson's grades came against SHSU so probably need to deduct like 10 points for comparison with others
