If this is the only move Sark makes this offseason, he's gonna be cooked quicker than I thought.  I'm not sure RB coach cracks the top 5 of our problems that need to be fixed.

Jerrick Gibson left midseason because he could not stand Chad Scott. So it was a problem. Also Juluke coached at the HS rank in Louisiana for 19 years, so this is also for recruiting.

If he starts sucking it up, pretty sure we’re all gonna call him Jar Jar

Jar Jar Binks Jukes?

So who is going to coach the RBs since according to you Juluke is only here for recruiting?

Part of offensive development is getting better RBs.

And that can be achieved when your RB coach isn't hated by RBs. Glad Chad Scott has started the next chapter of his life.

Clearly we should have hired the Missouri guy.

Should have signed Hardy before Mizzou.

And wake me when Flood is replaced. The most meaningful thing a RB coach can do is recruit great players.

Pretty sure Hardy to Mizzou was done before he even entered the portal.
Also would have been a tough sell both ways considering the state of our room at that time.

Yeah idk how to feel about the hire. I feel like there's an identity that needs to be established for that position. It was the Texas identity to have contact balance and run inside zone with some shake and bake and catching out if the backfield.

Idk wtf our backfield is right now.

I swear you defend Sark more than anyone else on this board. Are you L’Oréal?

Terrible hire, btw.

I can’t believe Sark filled the RB coach opening. What a dumbass.

If this was directed at me, I was just posting news.

I’m of the opinion that Sark needs to surround himself with the best coaches (both recruiting and coaching) he can find and add some outside blood that won’t be “yes men”. This guy seems to fill both of those roles.

It wasn’t. It was directed at the idiots that think this is a terrible hire (cuz reasons) and/or think this means we aren’t also addressing OL problems (cuz reasons)

I’ve got a better idea. How about you put that impotent fuckstick on ignore like the rest of us and quit quoting him so we don’t have to be subjected to his idiocy.

Idk I think I’m making some progress on his treatment plan

I guess making Jabbar Juluke Associate Head Coach was a way of getting him more money? The drop off from Tashard Choice with the same RBs was especially noticable with the YAC. I think sometimes people believe RBs can't be coached, that it's all innate talent, but Chad Scott showed how important coaching is.

Kinda like No clue wtf Texas backfield was during 2025 season...

Run game was horrific in 2025... gotta believe 2026 run game will be better with "Jar Jar" coaching the RB room.  Don't be surprised to see more power running added next year.

RB coaches also don’t generally dictate the running schemes

They definitely have a style and attitude that they dictate.

No, but they need to be able to tell the OC and the HC whether the guys they coach can actually run the plays they want to call.

Yes to both. Personnel capabilities at both the OL and RB positions as well as the scent of the farts Sark is sniffing that day will determine our rushing identity before anything else.

If Sark has a "fart sniffer" it's...

I have to ask, who would you have picked?

None of these complainers have ever heard of Juluke. Nor do they know anything about any other RB coach. That’s what makes their complaints so stupid.

All they have to do is look at who he has recruited and coached and they wouldn’t be so concerned then. But then they wouldn’t have anything to bitch about
