Hermans laid back " no rush, go look around " approach is about to bite him in his mensa ass

OMG you fuckers need to gab your nuts and see if they are still there or maybe you just have a wrinkly  skin sack there. Maybe Leal switches and maybe he doesn’t... he liked something when he was at the Aggy game, don’t think Hernan has done anything wrong here. There is still 8 months to work on him.

I really like Herman but there are a few aspects of him that really need to change.  He 100% should have let Warehime and Merhinger go.  They are C-USA level coaches.  Neither are great recruiters or coaches.  No reason for them to have ever been hired with the exception of Herman wanting to hire yes men around him.  He should have hired an ace recruiter to go along with Giles.

As far as Leal goes, if he commits... it will be shocking.  This guy was all Texas or Bama.  All of the sudden one visit and he shuts it down?  If this is true, Jimbo fucking nutted on Herman's face with this recruitment.  Let's see if he's got what it takes to compete now that Sumlin isn't here.  I'll feel a lot better if he shows up to our spring game.  If he no shows... this one is probably done.

Last 3 pages are a beating. Anyways, we spent all of last year saying the 9.95ers don’t know shit since Herman took over, and now we are all shocked because the 9.95ers were possibly wrong. Can’t be both.

True, but I don't think the 9.95ers were off base here. 17 year old kids change their minds daily. Leal was probably leaning Texas and after the visit to A&M things changed.

That's why it's laughable to already be talking about "Leal as being irreplaceable" as if Texas has already thrown in the towel. These things shift daily with 17 and 18 year old kids.

Leal is not replaceable. Period. He's #1 on everyone's board and for good reason.

After you follow recruiting every year, do you even look to see what happens on the football fields with these irreplaceable guys? These are #1 DT prospects in Texas. How many after everything said and done were irreplaceable? Yes, you want to grab as many of the top guys as possible because a higher % of them will be studs, but on an individual basis as prospects, none of them are irreplaceable. That being said, we probably still have a good shot at Leal and hopefully he comes and becomes a stud.

2015 Daylon Mack - aggy

2014 DeShawn Washington - aggy

2013 Justin Manning - aggy

2012 Mario Edwards - FSU

2011 Desmond Jackson - Texas

2010 Ashton Dorsey - Texas

2009 Jamarkus McFarland - OU

2008 Jarvis Humphrey - Texas

2007 Andre Jones - Texas

2006 Brandon Antwine - Florida

2005 Demarcus Granger - OU

He hasn’t committed (publicly) yet so no need to freak out, yet. But if he does is it really surprising? Similar thing happened last year. Texas was in the lead for Perkins then on his OU visit he shut it down and committed. Pretty surprising.

Regardless It’s still early so even if he does commit he already used his OV to aggy. ( he’s been quiet in the recruiting process so makes me wonder if he would even go back on his word if he committed? But he’s a 17 year old so they change their mind often)

The Perkins situation isn't that similar. Perkins always had some interest in OU. Plus he's an OOS kid, Leal is a kid from down the highway that we've put a lot of time and resources into. I've lost count on the school visits.

E.J. Holland: Four-star CB Marcus Banks to visit Texas for spring game

Texas is set to host another key target next weekend. Four-star Spring Dekaney cornerback

Marcus Banks informed Horns247 that he would be in attendance for the Texas spring game. Banks was last on campus in February for Texas junior day weekend. He will return to Austin on May 4 for his official visit. Banks plans to make a commitment in late May. At 6-foot, 170 pounds, Banks is ranked as the No. 33 cornerback in the country and No. 45 overall prospect in the state, per 247Sports Composite.

Lots of bitchassedness in here for a guy that hasn’t put anything on twitter or committed in any public forum.

Even if he does pull a 180 and commit to Aggy, UT will be pushing for at least an official and will probably try to get him back on an unofficial before signing time. (How does this no visit policy work again?)

If Aggy has the year we expect them to and Herman can eek out some of the close losses from last year we still have a very good chance of pulling him back in.

celebrating and slashing wrist over recruiting commits in april is beyond stupid.  between now and december, there's a shitton that can happen, good and bad.  it all has to do with our product on the field.  if we have a great showing this season, all this drama no doesn't matter. we gettin errbody.  if aggy shits the bed which we expect, then that too changes everything.  if we shit the bed, that changes everything.

tldr; quit fucking getting panties in a wad or wet because of what 17 yr kids say in the spring.  wait to how the season plays out.  that's the true barometer.

E.J. Holland: Recruiting tidbits from Under Armour Houston

— Five-star 2020 Galena Park North Shore running back Zachary Evans told us that he would be in attendance for the Texas spring game next weekend. Evans made it pretty clear that Texas is a team to beat early on. He loved his unofficial visit to UT last weekend and said he enjoyed breaking down film with running backs coach Stan Drayton, who is making a huge impression on him.

— Four-star Spring Dekaney cornerback Marcus Banks will be making an unofficial visit for the Texas spring game and will be back for an official visit on May 4. It appears Texas has regained some steam in this recruitment, but Texas A&M, where he will officially visit on April 27, remains a major threat. Banks also plans to make official visits to Auburn and LSU ahead of his late May decision timeframe.

— Four-star Kentwood (La.) wide receiver Trey Palmer said he is taking the recruiting process extremely slow and won’t be making any official visits until the fall. Palmer said he was excited about his recent Texas offer and has the Longhorns in his Top 10. He is hoping to make a visit at some point this offseason.

— Rising wide receiver Jaylen Ellis said he is debating on visiting Baylor or Texas for their respective spring games next weekend. Ellis is currently committed to Baylor but has extremely high interest in Texas and is hoping an offer comes his way in the near future. Ellis spoke to Drew Mehringer last week and remains optimistic.

— Elite 2020 New Caney cornerback Dwight McGlothern is a maybe for the Texas spring game. The four-star underclassman is deciding between Texas and LSU for his visit. McGlothern raved about his relationship with Texas safeties coach Craig Naivar, and said he FaceTimes with the Texas staff on a weekly basis. McGlothern is considering a number of schools, but it might come down to a battle between Texas, Texas A&M and LSU.

— Four-star 2020 Clear Creek offensive lineman Chad Lindberg is starting to form a relationship with Texas offensive line coach Herb Hand and hopes to strengthen it when he visits for the spring game next weekend. Lindberg holds offers from Arkansas, Georgia, Oklahoma, Texas A&M and others.

— Rising George Ranch defensive lineman Peter Mpagi will be in attendance at the Texas spring game next weekend. Mpagi has been keeping in close contact with Texas defensive line coach Oscar Giles and is optimistic and offer will come his way in the near future. If Texas offers, it would instantaneously become his leader.

— Baton Rouge (La.) Southern Lab offensive lineman Kardell Thomas is firm in his commitment to LSU, but he said he is looking to take official visits. Thomas noted that Texas would definitely get an official, but he hasn’t heard from the Longhorns in a while. Thomas has a relationship with Herb Hand going back to his time at Auburn, but it doesn’t appear that the Longhorns are engaged at this moment.

— We’ve re-confirmed with Austin Bowie wide receiver Elijah Higgins that he won’t make it to the Texas spring game because of his prom. He hopes to get back to Texas some time in the spring. Texas and Stanford appear to be the major players here. Higgins will visit Palo Alto next month.

— Rising 2020 Pearland Shadow Creek defensive end Alec Bryant has been in contact with Texas defensive line coach Oscar Giles as of late. The four-star prospect said he feels that a Texas offer could be coming soon, and he plans to be at the Texas spring game next weekend. Bryant called Texas a dream school and said they’d be at the top of his list with an offer.

— Big-time 2020 Houston Christian offensive lineman Donovan Jackson has had some contact with Herb Hand. Jackson holds offers from Georgia, LSU, Texas A&M, Ohio State and Oklahoma. Jackson said that Hand wants him back this summer for a camp, and he’s pretty sure he will attend. Texas A&M is the outright leader at this time.

— Rising 2019 Crosby offensive guard Chayse Todd has also been in contact with Hand as of late. Todd said Texas is evaluating him throughout the spring, and he feels an offer could come his way. Todd is a maybe to attend the Texas spring game, and he appears to be very interested in Iowa State at this time.

I'm guessing aggy's 995er village idiots and/or coaches have greatly exaggerated this whole thing and managed to ensnare our 995er village idiots in their web of dumbassery. Visit probably went fine, but I've seen this shit play out every spring the same way.

Guys Jimbo knows how to recruit. He’s making his push. Too early I believe. Still so long to go and Leal has already taken his OV there. Herman is in a good spot this cycle, but we’ve got to start winning. That’s the big issue, not coach cuck.
