  2. I didn't know Will Ferrell was on Sonny Dykes' staff.
  3. Bobby update this morning on the OL: The offensive line is always one of the last things we hear about following a scrimmage. It’s only natural since most folks are focused on the skill positions and following the ball. But I was fortunate to text with someone yesterday. First, the basics: - There were no pre-snap penalties from 1s. There were from other groupings. - The 1s on the OL committed just one penalty, a holding call. - The D may have started out strong, but eventually the OL got some good, solid runs in the Red Zone portion in the second half of practice. - The first unit remains, from left to right, Trevor Goosby, Neto Umeozulu, Cole Hutson, DJ Campbell and Brandon Baker. - The results of the second and third units on the OL were a little more mixed, with multiple pre-snap infractions.
  4. That’s fucking stupid.
  5. This biased poll crap is so aggy. Yes, ESPN contacted all of the coaches and writers to implore them to over rank Texas for ......... Um, ratings or something?

  7. The belt squat is a surprisingly versatile machine. You can do multiple leg movements and quite a few rowing variations as well. Dave Tate has a YouTube video somewhere (yes I know, on YouTube) of him working with Louie Simmons and Chuck Vogelpohl on an entire training session centered around the belt squat and reverse hyper. I’ll see if I can find it
  8. Ok, I recognized Spike Dykes. Is it bad that I don’t know who any of those other guys are in Iceman’s pictures? I’ll have to take your word for it on Lubbock. Confession- I had my SATs sent to TT. I was going to be the first in my family to go to college and I wanted to study engineering. We had been living in Fort Benning, Georgia when Dad retired from the army and moved to Texas. I knew that in Georgia, if you wanted to study engineering, you went to Georgia Tech, so in Texas… I figured it out when TT sent me an informational booklet that, I kid you not, had the pages and cover actually cut in the shape of a cowboy boot! There is a lot of truth to the saying, “Get your grades up or get your guns up!”
  9. "10-2 We upset Notre Dame and tu We lose to LSU Upset late in the season at home to SC In the CFB playoffs"
  10. Yeah, shit's bad enough without making shit up. The rationals need to adopt some of the right's tactics, but conspiracy theories aren't one of them. I don't think. Maybe it's a way to reach the idiots.
  11. Voice for silent movies
  12. I thought he was the Walrus.
  13. Moscow Mitch was far better leader of his party because he got shit done until he spoke out about dear leader. Schumer is a run of the mill NY politician that does nothing for the party in this climate.
  14. Legacy isn’t enough legacy!
  15. Good point, and the last part is true for Pelosi as well. She’s the greatest legislative tactician of all time or at least the closest thing the House has ever had to LBJ.. She is not and does not want to be the face of anything. He was right though.
  16. They get them built - the majority being in Japan and China, with France, Germany and Spain trailing. The biggest issue is that almost all rely on massive government subsidies and operate at a loss. There are TWO HSR lines that have fully covered both operating and construction costs. One in Japan and one in France. That's with a sample size of thousands world-wide. TWO.
  17. I know things feel like they're past the point of no return but have you guys looked at our group of running backs this season?
  18. I haven't used DoorDash since the Covid lockdown because it results in an additional $10 expense for cold food. Am I missing out?
  19. Of course it does- that’s the Iron Law of Single Party Districts: in a district or state where one party has a dominant advantage, the nominating process of the dominant party will produce the least acceptable candidate the majority is willing to vote for. In competitive districts and states, parties will typically nominate two relatively strong, well qualified candidates.
