  5. Dude- they don’t give fair odds in gambling. The house has a rake. And I have no idea how big or small it is during in game betting like that. Thus the question mark. I’m guessing if they are giving +138 they don’t think it’s a 42% chance but rather less than that. Do you think they’d give even odds if they thought it was 50/50? Absolutely not. That’s why when they price with a point spread it’s -110. The more you know.
  6. Bullshit lol. No one goes to the fucking hangar here.
  7. Announcers fucking setup that pick well.
  8. But what could he have done differently? If he had announced a decision sooner, he would have had to leave his team and maybe cause them to lose games as a result. He could have announced right after the Egg Bowl and shit on his team’s celebration.
  9. This show has started to suck, but I've gone all in on Sheridan shit shows and Billy Bob is next level in this role, so I'll continue. All I ask is Coop's chick naked
  10. It's supposed to be Lisa Simpson right?
  11. We will see more coaches leaving in the middle of the night versus having this immortalized on the internet
  12. I disagree about him not dragging this out. Hard to believe he decided last night. Everybody believed he was going to bolt.
  13. It would have been cool if Lane stopped before entering the plane and turned around to throw double deuces like Richard Nixon.
  14. HONG KONG (AP) — The death toll in Hong Kong’s apartment complex blaze rose to 146 on Sunday as investigators discovered more bodies in the burned-out buildings. A steady stream of people placed bouquets of flowers at an ever-growing makeshift memorial at the scene of the disaster, among the worst in the city’s history. https://apnews.com/article/hong-kong-apartment-complex-fire-9b466e2965d71cc21fe3bce5ad863f74
  15. Again, the product of one man taking on too much. It could also be that the menu you typically had was not cost efficient and probably had a good amount of leftover waste. From the outside you wanted top tier food and beverage but pre-sales/walk-up sales is more like a typical friendly tailgate. I have a feeling you could streamline some finger eats and economical beer/alcohol to have about the same turnout. Again, you did an awesome job. If you move forward I'll think you'll need to decide if you want this to be a Surly Horns friendly gathering or promote it as a top tier tailgate party.
  16. Nah. He was probably a priest or a scout master.
  17. Yeah, whatever you think of Kiffin, I don’t think he did a thing wrong here. He stayed until his team played its last regular season game. He didn’t talk about it all so it wouldn’t become more of a distraction. He isn’t the one who made it a distraction. He then made and announced his decision quickly. He tried (or said he tried) to stay to coach the playoffs. He wanted to take some coaches with him, which any coach who likes his assistants would. the guy was the hottest candidate in this coaching season. He got a nice payday. a. He didn’t ruin his team’s season. b. He didn’t drag all this out. c. He didn’t smear Ole Miss. Not sure what else anyone thinks he should have done. He’s not the one who created the drama. And I am not suggesting I feel sorry for him.
  18. I’m glad he had a poor time and hope he never comes back. 😁
  19. Uh...no...not if he is an honor's grad from UT Law School. If true....obviously a smart dude....book-wise.
  20. They should send Elon
  21. This past year has felt pretty upbeat, and yes, there's recency bias and all that, but we are seeing an uptick in interest and numbers, and I've got friends at other packs and troops that are doing better as well. I think we are also seeing a lot more interest amongst the younger kids/parents - our kindergarten and 1st/2nd grade dens are larger. I think some of it probably is people who were doing outdoor stuff during COVID and looked around and saw tjat Scouting was what worked best for them. But, as I said, since we added girls and kindergartners, we have a LOT of parents who are showing an interest or signing their kids up because we are one of the few "serious" activities where the whole family can be involved, regardless of boy or girl, and the fact that we cover Kinder - 5th grade is huge for a lot of parents. In fact, if we took girls out of our pack, we would be close to the size we were before COVID. And there's still a lot of people who didn't realize we added girls (and kindergarten), and it's just a matter of them finding out or seeing their friends' kids in it. There just really is no other activity that covers both boys and girls from kinder - 12th grade (once you move out of Cub Scouts) and that the parents can participate in as well.
  22. Do we know who all from this class is expected to enroll in January? I haven’t seen a list, but seems like we’ve had 80-90% enroll early the past few years.
