So we’ve reached the point where saying “slavery was bad” is considered out of control wokeness. They must be so thrilled that they have found this new awesome racism loophole. Give it a year and not being able to scream n***** at someone will be called woke.
-
Shaking my head that we went from it being a given that slavery was bad and a stain on our country's legacy to "well it wasn't all bad". They are that fragile that you can't say this country ever did anything wrong because that challenges American exceptionalism. Of course, they could talk shit about America during the Clinton, Obama, and Biden years but now everything has to be whitewashed.

We moved Junior Brown to Fort Collins this weekend. Regular move in is today but Lil' Brown's first day at Lamar MS is today so we opted for the early move in so her sister wouldn't miss the first day of school. I HIGHLY recommend early move in. Only a few dozen kids were moving in on Sunday so there was no 30 minute limit for unloading, no wait for the elevator, etc. We parked right next to the dorm, grabbed a big moving cart and it was a pretty leisurely process. Junior Brown has texted pics of the regular move in and it is crowded AF today. She and her new early move in buddies decided to stay out of the chaos and went 15 minutes away to Horsetooth Reservoir to go paddling boarding.

Ahh, the calm before the RT misses a block on the first drive in Ohio and the board almost crashes. Enjoy these quiet times

Yeah it looks like you just had one of those seasons where you lost a big chunk of players off the top right at the end. Interesting approach to recruiting, personally I don't bother targeting anyone that doesn't have interest and I fully scout everyone I target just to make it feel more real/immersive, and I dump all the potential busts. That way I don't have to dump a lopsided amount of hours into most prospects, with a few exceptions here or there. I generally end up with 7-8 5-star guys and 20ish 4 star guys every season now. I haven't signed a single 3 star in probably 5-6 seasons besides an occasional rare exception at a high need position with a potential gem or kickers/punters. I force every upperclassmen that hasn't climbed out of the high 70s or low 80s to transfer, unless they are actually needed for depth. I also redshirt as many players as I can get away with, down to the minimum required 3-deep at every position besides WR and CB, and aggressively manage my depth chart, especially at all the niche spots like RRE. I recruit to basically the same style, I run the veer and shoot with a heavy emphasis on the run, short passes, screens and RPOs. I have found that (at least against the CPU) that passing the ball deep is almost never worth it unless they are single covered and very obviously have their man beat. Otherwise I run a lot of slants, crossing routes, stop routes, and screens with heavy emphasis/usage of RBs and TEs. Usually about 55% pass/45% run, depending on the opponent. I've only recently started using RPOs a lot more, they're a bit tricky but very effective once you get the hang of it. A couple of interesting things I've noticed are: I think my style of play has made it difficult for me to recruit top-shelf QB talent, as I haven't had any first round QBs (I don't think) and all of my Heisman winners have been RBs. I also haven't been able to close the deal on a single 5-star QB to date, although this cycle I think I may land my first. I think this is pretty cool and lends a degree of realism to recruiting. I've always had solid QBs but there haven't really been any superstars in there yet. The transfer portal seems pretty light every cycle, I've certainly pulled some great players out of it but compared to real life it seems a bit slim, and I don't think I've ever seen a 5-star prospect in there. Also, nice coach name lol

The Leopards Eating Faces and Unlubed Dildo of Consequences Thread

I've always thought the same thing. There are a lot of violent and armed dads in this world and you'd think this would happen more. My wife and I joke (not joking) but she has two known and notoriously violent uncles. (One on each side.) I can promise you that if any girl in their families were harmed, somebody would be dead. With one, you'd never find the body. With the other, he'd do to their house, shoot them in the head, call the police, tell him he shot them in the head, go to trial and go all Samuel Jackson and say "You're damn right I did!" -
Dog made the wrong decision. She's not that hot.

My extensive legal analysis (ChatGPT) of 49 U.S. Code § 41724 and its implementing rule, 14 CFR Part 251 says that this rule is subject to there being space on the plane for it to fit. Also says not all airline personnel understand this and implementation may vary so be prepared to raise hell if you have to and make sure you get on early.

Well Written Content OU Football 2025 - League Average & Loving It

I have to tell you, the OU WR room is fucking abysmal. Spoilered below is an article from Sooners Illustrated in which they talk to Emmett Jones and he pines for the return of two guys who currently have no timetables for a return - Gibsons Javonnie and Jayden. Highlights: -Emmett Jones rated an FCS WR from UAPB as the top guy in the portal, apparently above names like Singleton, Key, Thomas, Barion Brown, Branch, Horton, you name it. No no, it was this Javonnie Gibson guy. Don't blame Jones if the guy doesn't come back soon enough and the WR room sucks again. It's all of those damned injuries again. -They've come close to simply no longer really discussing Jayden Gibson as a viable option for this season. -Burks has been both hurt and less athletic this fall camp. They'll still tout him in the media as a wizard who scored 3 tds against Temple and averaged less than 9 yards per catch last season, but they're far less enthusiastic about his output for this coming season. -I follow OU as closely as anyone and I am having a hard time thinking of names that are actually practicing for them right now at WR. Elijah Thomas and Manny Choice are freshmen getting reps. Some dude named Regan? Sategna is there. It's slim pickings, but no doubt John Mateer will elevate some of these scrubs to All Conference as he marches his way towards the Heisman. -
As chronicled on another thread, I've spent about $500 this year in professional extermination costs eradicating mice. It is incredible the places they end up. A mouse can squeeze through an opening the diameter of a #2 pencil. Their skulls are tiny and they can contort their bodies to follow. In my case, I have 4 house perimeter bait boxes plus two in the attic, refilled every 6 weeks by my guy Luis. Mice eat the bait, leave the house to go find water, and die of dehydration. After trapping 50 of them I went nuclear. Such is life adjacent to a 1,000-acre field.

Oh no, lawyer talk. With the number of lawyers on this site, I fear the site might be overwhelmed. Immamac better start the backup generators to power the internet tubes. -
Talk about realignment earlier in the thread got me thinking the Astros could make out like bandits if they got into a division of Houston/Arlington/Miami/Tampa. Call it the Gulf Division, and it would set them up nicely for the next few decades.
