  2. That may be a bad idea if Baker looks good. We need Baker engaged. So I think I would move him inside and on the left if he really has already positioned himself into a starting role.
  3. It was towards the front. Don't care if it's empty or not, take that shit to the back of the lot. it was the third and fourth spots in the aisle, not the back half.
  4. I've seen it theorized that autogenocide is the point of all this madness. Curious about y'alls thoughts.
  5. Runaway Mine Train
  6. Would that not be an admission that Americans are paying for Trump's tariff increases?
  7. I don’t know about Texas as a whole but Austin 20 years ago was an outrageously special time and place to be alive. Immaculate vibes.
  8. Welp im neutropenic again. Luckily already at the hospital. On a positive note Luna is having a good time at friend's chasing squirrels and napping.
  9. Morons who don’t understand the simple concept of French fry boxes and how bacon grease and gravity work?
  10. Just got back from Disneyland (and Universal) with the oldest and grandkids. Probably the 5th or 6th time I've done it at this point and I think we are done forever on it. Skip if you don't want to hear an old man rant: Compared to Universal, the lightning lane fast pass thing genie simply sucks. Feels like a waste of money but I honestly couldn't fathom going without it. The lines are atrocious. Universal fast pass is amazing. Even with the paid pass, I had to pay $100+ extra for the Cars road race ride, which was honestly the highlight of both parks. The rides are weirdly boring, in that they are nice to look at set pieces, but just rehash a boiled down plot and are pretty boring. The one cool ride was closed "Incredicoaster" and the Guardians of the Galaxy ride wasn't available for lightning lane and was like a 3 hour wait. All in all, I think the redditor summed it up best: "Universal is actually investing in cool rides and technology and giving customers a great experience, Disney seems content to coast on hyper-nostalgia and adults who will spend on merch and go crazy over a new design of popcorn bucket"
  11. My Mexican oncologist recently went to Mexico and i was genuinely concerned he wouldn't be let back in. Luckily not the case. This time.
  12. Hey Austin, your Texas is showing
  13. beloved cunt
  14. the original parts were more amusing than all the call backs of previous laughs. don't need reminder of "eating pieces of shit for breakfast," "may, day, hay, play, way" rhyme, grandma's KISS mask, richard kiel, fighting with crocs. they were funny in the original. they weren't really jokes here, just reminders that they told the joke before. enjoyed the new chubbs, enjoyed the round with eric andre, enjoyed all the real golfers' roles -- surprisingly competent actors, enjoyed the running gag of everything being a flask, enjoyed john daly. ben stiller wasn't nearly as funny as the original. claire dunphy weirded me out in a few scenes, like she's had some work done recently that didn't work out. some of the shots sexualized sandler's daughter a little more than I'd think a dad in control of the whole process would.
  15. I’m possibly the worst stock picker of all time. I do fine with my funds at vanguard but every time I buy an individual stock it tanks. A few years ago a friend shared motley fool’s rocket 10, ten stocks they think will take off. The previous years rocket 10 was up 250% and the one from two years before was up 300%. I had $15k sitting in a vanguard s&p 500 fund in a Roth Ira. I sold $10k of it and bought $1000 of each of the 10. Those stocks are worth about $6k today. The $5k I left in the fund is worth $8k today. I sold half the stock on Monday and bought UTLY with it, so cursed money from a cursed investor is in, sorry in advance to all of you already in UTLY
  16. If this happened in Austin the perp would be released overnight to do it 6 more times.
  17. Bumping this thread to bring back the convo for 2025. I’d give the award to Broughton for 2024 (see my pre-season post upthread for why) This year’s candidates are: - Will Stone. Yeah he’s been our kickoff specialist, but if Shipley gets injured and he hits some big kicks in postseason play, he could become a legend and fit the spirit of the award - Connor Robertson. He played significant snaps once against OU as a RS freshman. He’s pretty much been forgotten about since, so he’s a good candidate, but likely only gets his chance in the case of injuries - Neto Umeozulu. The overwhelming favorite. Despite the many calls for him to replace Hayden Conner, Neto has barely played and not looked particularly good in the limited action we’ve seen. Frankly, he might be the biggest question mark of all projected starters currently (which is not nearly the negative it was a few years ago). A good year for Texas likely means Neto gets to take home this illustrious award The current group of transfers are non-starters in my eyes. Campbell, Hutson, Taaffe, Guilbeau, and Burke have played too much and too well to be eligible. The rest of the 2022 class is either in a NFL training camp or transferred out.
  18. This state needs to stop pandering to the olds. Pull your own weight, deadbeats.
  19. Perhaps not coincidentally, 320’s are a “hot deal” at Academy right now.
  20. The fourth kind and zodiac made me check for lock doors for a while like I still do it to this day
