  1. Past hour
  2. Goodbye Willie Beans (don’t even ask, his real name was Charlie). I know you are running around again like the wild dog you were before we rescued you, chasing squirrels and making friends with everyone you ever met, just to get a scratch and a pet. Endless sunny days laying in the grass and all the chew sticks you want.
  3. What cracked me up over that episode was that the players were already returning to the field and almost out of the tunnel when Buford T. Justice flexed on them.
  4. AD Rhoades officially gone. As for this: According to sources, the allegations presented against Baylor AD Mack Rhoades are centered around his involvement in an outside incident that breaks school’s Christian standards rules Sources say this involves an outside relationship. Well, we know that "non-consensual" relationships aren't a problem. Kinda makes you wonder about what is actually problematic for Baylor. Wait, maybe he was in a relationship with a younger woman and it WASN'T non-consensual or predatory, and the Baylor athletic code just doesn't want someone setting a terrible precedent like that?
  5. Excellent news for the rest of the Big 12
  6. Zoom in on his hand
  7. There are few things on this planet I hate more than that fax account.
  8. Fine but this makes the 2nd time in 3 years that Sark is playing an injured WR over several highly recruited and demonstrably productive other WRs (e.g. Livingstone got limited looks at Georgia while Wingo was watching half of his targets go through his hands). Same with Worthy, only we had fewer options then. And we can't say it's because of Wingo's other attributes like blocking, because he is poor at that. No reason we couldn't run out Mosley, Moore, and Livingstone and if we need a 4th and 5th we have a deep bench. Sark's stubbornness hits again. Sarkenness.
  9. Something new in upside down world. Being rude and calling people names for no reason like a five year-old = respectful. Not doing that = disrespectful.
  10. I'm in for two. Just landed. See y'all tomorrow morning
  11. The LSU board of supervisors Friday authorized new school president Wade Rousse to send former coach Brian Kelly written notice that he has been fired, the first step in its response to a lawsuit that Kelly filed against the board. In the lawsuit, Kelly said LSU has taken the position that it did not “formally terminate” him because Woodward did not have the authority to do so. The lawsuit seeks a declaratory judgment that Kelly has been fired without cause and is owed his full buyout of nearly $54 million. Carmouche is the chair of the athletics committee and has been a key figure in the buyout negotiations with Kelly’s representatives. The request was passed without an objection. Carmouche, Rousse and board chair Scott Ballard declined further comment. Kelly was dismissed as LSU’s head coach Oct. 26, the day after a 49-25 home loss to Texas A&M. Then-athletic director Scott Woodward said in a statement at the time “ultimately, the success at the level that LSU demands simply did not materialize, and I made the decision to make a change after last night’s game.” Woodward and the school parted ways four days later after Gov. Jeff Landry criticized Woodward in a public news conference and said he would not hire the next head coach.
  12. Brisket, walking around the tailgate:
  13. Are we really sure she's not AI at this point. Another appropriate response would be: "Your mom."
  14. Under Strong and Herman at least the guys didn’t play so fucking tight and stiff, they sucked but at least it looked fun. Every game we come out looking so slow and robotic.
  15. If you thought Johnny 8-Ball couldn't get any douchier, you'd be wrong
  16. You are wrong. The “induced demand” theory of housing supply has been repeatedly debunked. Supply benefits ultimately outweigh any localized induced demand (Meta study on the subject ). That’s the first thing you do, because in California the Bay Area and Southern California have stymied housing production for almost 50 years. And with regards to the “Dream For All” plan - subsidizing demand just further increases prices. And in any event funding for that program was oversubscribed, like, immediately.
  17. No books but if you are unaware The Rest is History pod has done fantastic work on Nelson. Just finished up with another series of episodes.
  18. RPM

    NIMBYism

  19. Is this some kind of Make A Wish for regards podcast? Both options discussed are so profoundly stupid that they don’t warrant discussion.
  20. Me walking Brisket around at the tailgate:
  21. This is how you play to your audience, so your legend keeps you fed.
  22. Sure do. I'm not too far from there at all. Good place owned by good people. Their take on the Cubano is really good. The owners "bought" all of Peggy Sue BBQ's branding and recipes and have been smoking BBQ. They mostly vacu-seal it and sell it out of the coolers, along with the old Peggy Sue's sides and their mustard BBQ sauce is spectacular. Anyway, they use the pulled pork from the Peggy Sue's operation on the Cubano sub that is terrific. Their hot dog offerings are tasty too. But the best sandwich in all of DFW is from Pizzeria Carina in Preston Center. It's basically their take on Anthony Bourdain's mortadella sandwich. Holy hell, it's slams and goes very fucking hard. Here's a pic:
  23. Ok, but the muzzle blast from a .357 snubbie isnt exactly subtle. Love that single seven.
  24. texasdago

    Burgers

Manchaca - used to be Moreno BBQ but now called Moreno Burger so the OG one. It is a smoked half-pound burger so kind of has that color. Had to detach my jaw to eat it.
