Texas Football 2025 Fall Camp - Kicking the Sonofabitch In
Hookem2147 replied to closetojumping's topic in Football
I noticed in that picture the Texas football account posted on social media last night that whoever was at QB was under center. I recall us doing a little of it last year in the two games Manning started and I recall some chunk runs. Also remember a redzone TD throw to Blue that came from an under center play. -

Texas Football 2025 Fall Camp - Kicking the Sonofabitch In

This. It’s two storied programs who just played last year, both top 3 teams and national champ contenders. Defending champ and 2x semifinalist Texas. And a Manning at the helm Of course it’s being hyped as much as the last 2 non-conference matchups between Texas and Ohio State -
Just fact-checking myself on my timeline post above. The arrest, indictment and trial of Sam Bankman-Fried was cited as a swift federal investigation and prosecution -- and it was, remarkably so, probably the fastest criminal prosecution gaining public notice I've ever seen. The timeline there: Crime evidence surfaces in November 2022, SBF indicted in December 2022. Tried to conviction in December 2023. Sentenced in March 2024, so indictment to final conviction for appeal purposes, 15 months. Remarkably fast given SBFs wealth ostensibly providing the means to delay and otherwise game the system. Lewis Kaplan, the judge, seems to be an extraordinarily no-bullshit judge. But those no-bullshit judges often create errors for appeal and reversal. One of the things that helped speed this prosecution was the nearly irrefutable "paper trail" left by SBF combined with the swift flipping of Caroline Ellison to shut down any innocent explanations of that paper trail. Appealed in April 2024. The appeal remains pending 16 months later.

Have we had anyone debut in the MLB this season? I think we have really long streak going of at least one player making it into an MLB game each year.

This thread is one of the few things that brings me joy these days. I love seeing these shitheads get fucked over. I wish it would be worse for them. -
It's a bit depressing when they show the next 3 batters up, and they're the 5,6,7 hitters and the highest average of the 3 is .254

Same general region but still a decent hike of 95 miles from Sochi. Putin's Palace is at these coordinates, though I'm sure he has others.

Can't see much from the video, but seems to be noncontact Frank confirmed afterwards that it was the same knee that he just injured last year, but do not know the extent yet. -

Worked for Malachi Nelson, right? That said I don't see Lanning rolling with that level of dog shit at QB. -

There is nothing wrong with the "best season opener ever" promo from Fox. Defending National Champions vs. the team they beat in the semi-final featuring the most hyped college QB in a decade or more fits that description. Great teams typically lose a ton of players to the NFL, so the finding their "identity" knock is dumb. Two clear blue blood programs ranked in the preseason top 5 to kick off Week 1 at 11am. The excitement level nationally is legit and the TV ratings will be through the roof. It is the best season opener ever. We've been waiting two decades for this shit, some of y'all need to embrace the arrogance and attention again. -
I think it is based of the time zone of the device that sent it. Either way, why does America's Grandpa need to be up at 2 am blabbering nonsense?

aggy cares That's why they lead the SEC in hospitality while giving opposing fans directions to Pyle Field and record self-serving and ridiculous "Welcome to the SEC" videos.

Public broadcasting died when Click and Clack went off the air. -
This kinda/sorta looks like the same dude from the trench video above, talking about the pointlessness of the war, but the timing would appear to be off. Still, they're both gaunt AF and don't look like they've had much to eat. Some attempts at translations in the comments:

Turned injuries and wear and tear off. It's more fun that way to truck defenders knowing your backs can never get hurt.

OTF (Vogel): Practice Nuggets from Saturday Evening Wanted to follow up from my late night post regarding the Texas defense and its performance Saturday. I posted, the first text I received regarding the Longhorns' defensive performance had my source enamored by the forecast of the defense in 2025. For those that missed it, this was the text: “The defense is going to be unbelievable.” But to more notes. *** If you have not read @Bobby Burton post from this morning, be sure to check it out. There are great tidbits regarding the Longhorns' third practice in there. *** Starting with the defense. I mentioned coming into camp I expect the defense to be the superior side of the football early in fall camp, and so far that has held firm. This is not to create concern regarding the offense, the unit just needs time to gel across the board. New faces and pieces coming in and out of the starting unit who have yet to see extended snaps with one another is just part of the growing process. But for now, in large part due to creating turnovers, the defense is winning the 11-on-11 battles pretty handedly. *** The pads come on this week, and based off a couple of recurring conversations, this week is going to be huge for the offensive line picture. I don't believe the unit generated as push displacement as hoped in the spring and so far it remains a work in progress. To be blunt, this is my largest concern at the moment regarding the 2025 team. The experience difference in the trenches is where the differential lies currently. Cole Hutson has seen most of the snaps at right guard with Connor Robertson filling in at center as DJ Campbell remains limited. Originally I had heard Campbell may miss time, but that does not appear to be the case as reported by others here at OTF. *** CB Warren Roberson has really come along. Roberson had two interceptions on Saturday, with one mentioned as the most athletic play of the day. LB Liona Lefau has been mentioned as uber consistent in his play both in run and pass support. Freshman TE Emaree Winston had a remarkable leaping reception on a corner route which was heavily contested by Jordon Johnson-Rubell during 1-on-1's. Some positive returns on Derek Williams Jr. as well. I have heard he's been ramping up his intensity each day physically. Conditioning is a large key of his full return and those steps are being taken. *** Wide receiver position is working on who else can join the group of four – Wingo, Moore, Livingstone, Mosley. Again, I am going to sound like a broken record, but Parker Livingstone remains a name that is popping up in these settings. *** Texas has incorporated more under center snaps for Arch Manning than what we were previously accustomed to with Quinn Ewers. My expectation is to see a lot of play action involving Arch's back fully turned to the defense at times this fall. RPO's will remain a piece of the puzzle for the Longhorn offense, but true boot legs, waggles and seven-step drops out of a play action set are expected to increase compared to 2024. For those wondering, I have been told Manning has done a fine job of protecting the football, despite the Texas defense creating a number of turnovers (specifically interceptions) early on in camp.
